It took 217 days for GTAIV to come to PC, it is now over 200 days since GTAV came out

A little part of me wants to see Rockstar release it on XB1 and PS4 and ignore PC. Just so I can see the colossal shitstorm.

Why do people even want this any more? Rockstar hates PC and they are bad at the platform. Social club is just terrible and its pretty obvious they just don't care. If you haven't played it, just get it on PS3 or 360 stop waiting for what could never come.

Because game is great and 360/PS3 versions are terrible. I've played it for 8 hours and it was awful experience. Crappy IQ with framerate dipping to mid teens while driving.

Was this game any good? I expected it to come out within 6 months of the console release which is why I didn't bother with it but it's been quite a while now. GTA4 was so bad.

Very good, Very polished. The online is pretty terrible but the 30+ hour campaign makes up for it.

Well, in my own damn opinion, this game is great. A lot of fun. Just that the online could have been better than what it has been. I would suggest that they polish it a little more but one can only beat a last gen condole so much.

People believe that RDR "its too hard" to port excuse. Rockstar could come up with some bullshit for skipping PC and people would defend it as well.

Didn't they use a different engine for RDR? And in the end, Rockstar made the game, and calling whatever their public statement is for an bullshit excuse is not called for, considering they are in a position of knowing the reasons for why not to do better then most people.

When they release RDR on ps4/xbone for more money get back to me.

I really hope we'll get a port. Played the game at a friend's house. The sound of the PS3 disk drive spinning practically 100% of the time still haunts me in my dreams :/

Sorry for the bump, but on Tuesday it's been 217 days since GTAV was released on consoles, the same amount of days between the console and PC release of GTAIV.

And R* still haven't said a word about it. :(

I bought it on 360, but only put like 7 hours or something in. It's a great game, but I have enough other games to play to hold off until maybe summer/early fall for a PC release.

Keep the faith.

I have a PS3 and never bought GTA V for it.
Waiting for the PC version, where you at least have an enjoyable frame rate and no pop-in of objects.

Good things come to those who wait. ;)

I'm trying my best! :D

I envy your patience, 7+ months of complete silence from R* is driving me nuts. :P

Assuredly, the next-gen console release is causing problems.

They may be selling all the DLC they can on consoles, then releasing a complete version for PC/current-gen.

Meh, Im still waiting on Valkyrie Chronicles trophies.

Valkyria Chronicles PC port would be massively successful.

Strategy RPG not on PC? How did that logic work?

I definitely want to wait. I wouldn't want to have to buy the DLC if I buy the next-gen version. Or wait for more time for them to make the bloody heists. It really is strange how much they have spent to make those bloody missions to be available.

I dont think its coming, why would it take this long to come out on pc. Are they remaking the whole thing or something.

I honestly don't have a problem with holding off: tons of cheap quality games to be found on Steam. Too many games, too little time really!
(Since I'm someone who completes all the games he buys, instead of collecting a Steam backlog, so I guess that helps too haha.)

And wasn't there a thread on GTAForums.com about the PC version? I stopped reading that daily since it only brings frustration. I think I would be driven mad if I still followed that thread... :)

I would guess that the PC version would come out along with the PS4/XBone ports. That would especially make sense if they planned on doing extra enhancements (new textures, higher quality models, etc.) on those ports.

I think they looked at the sales of the PC version, made a judgement about how those sales impacted the console version's sales and have reached a decision when to release it.

If there is a next gen version, wouldn't they have to basically recode everything make it x64? It might be better to not waste time doing that and just start working on a GTA6 that's x64. It would probably sell significantly more anyways. Anyways, if next-gen version comes out, Rockstar will probably make you PC guys wait a LONG time again.

The long wait for GTA4 on PC and non-existence of Red Dead Redemption on PC should be taken as how much interest Rockstar has in timely PC releases.

Yeah, fuck Rockstar for not releasing a game they never announced!

I can see why PC only people would be pissed. The series has been on PC since the first game. If GTA V fails to make it to PC, it will be the first GTA game that the PC community has missed out on. Furthermore, the games sell pretty well on PC, so there is no reason not to do a port. GTA IV sold over 2M copies on Steam alone, and that was a horrible port.

I don't mind if it's not happening. I'd just want to hear an official stance on it.

Honestly, we all know why it wouldn't come to PC.

On a side note I can't believe I still haven't played this game. I see the price has dropped to $40. It's probably a good time to pick it up, but I've been saying since the beginning that I wanted to wait for the PC version.

If I could use the dualshock 4 in GTAV, I probably would have bought the game already. The game is, IMO, unplayable with the dualshock 3, so I continue to wait for a port or a patch.

No, F Rockstar/T2 because they are keep telling us "we will be wherever are our fans" and after 7 months they are still silent about GTA V for PC/X1/PS4 even there is huge amount requests for it.

It still few times better than console versions.

Also it has many mods, not only graphics ones, but also things like Realistic Driving, which gives vehicles better physics than GTA V does.

A friend of mine is still playing GTA4 on 360 mainly for the racing. That mod is amazing and would probably made him spend a large chunk of cash on a beefy pc just for that... i better not tell him about it lol.

Grand Theft Auto IV is considered to be one of the worst ports of all time and still managed to accumulate almost 3 million sales.

If that doesn't show there is a market for GTA games on the PC platform, I don't know what else to say.

As it has been noted.

They are probably waiting to release a "complete, extended, etc" edition on next gen consoles and PC

Max Payne 3 regardless of the game quality looked great and performed great on PC i would not worry too much of a broken port this time.
