I have not yet been drunk, and plan on keeping it that way, but the world of alcoholic beverages has opened up to me and I have explored it a little. I tried 4 different beers, 5 or so different wines, a couple sweet drinks, some sour apple stuff, brandy and some vodka (all on separate occasions, mind you, lol) and they were all disgusting to me. Some started out good but the aftertaste sucked, alcohol is gross.
But today my brother brought home something new and I tried it and actually liked it--Jack Daniels Old No.7! Given that I hate the taste of alcohol, I never expected my tastes to be for hard liquor, but it had a spiciness that worked with the alcohol flavor nicely. It reminded me of apple cider with no apples, which is interesting since we also have apple cider and I think I'll gonna try mixing them a bit tomorrow.
Though I need to be careful and take things slow, my inexperience leaves me ignorant as to what my limits are.
