oh, fair enough. I should have looked closely.

But also, Jrock is not big in Europe, so an AKFG should not be more expensive than say The Vaccines or Kreator.

I don't who they are so I can't compare.

But you said that you saw Girugamesh and Suga Shikao.
The prices of these shows are almost the same as AKFG's one (actually, Suga Shikao is more expensive) and AKFG is without a doubt way more popular, even in Europe, so...
Really, the price didn't shock me at all. I would have bought a ticket even if it was more expensive anyway so... :lol

Anyway, bought the telephnones's latest album.
Really cool, not as good as Rock Kingdom but still enjoyable.

Also listened to NICO Touches The Walls's new album which is really solid.
The singles were great so I was not worried about the quality of this album. Highly recommend it.

First, Idid misunderstood the currency so that was my bad. But What I am saying is that 25 Euros is not really that cheap when you keep in mind that J-rock is not that big and its not certainly doesn't compare to many who are on the same ballpark. I honestly don't think Asian KungFu Generation is popular is Europe. Didn't the Album they released for Western market flop really badly? MUSIC, at least sold gangbusters, so I assume that Visual Key have some market as opposed to Jrock.

And the Vaccines is really big!

Probably a relatively expensive venue they're performing at.

Yeah, that is probably what causes the price, but again, they should maximize their income if they know that they have some small dedication fanbase in Europe. Its creativity not cheap, but its understandable

If anyone here can read japanese, could you help me out? I'm trying to figure out where I'll be able to order this album from, but I can't quite tell since google translate only does so much. Is it an in-store only release?

Asian Kung-fu Generation is coming to London on the 31st, and I am wondering if I should go. I haven't listen to their stuff since Sol-fa and I doubt they will play any of that stuff since its almost 10 year old. I could for new experience, but Alas, I am not sure if I want to shell out 18 quids for that...

Ichiro on Sakanaction's international fanbase.

“I hope foreign listeners can persevere with Japanese music,” laughs bespectacled musician Ichiro Yamaguchi. “Sure, there’s a lot of crap music here, but there’s a lot of good stuff, too. Intelligent music is in the minority now, but I believe it will become mainstream in the future.”

LOL, he must be talking about them idols.

That sounds quite pretentious of him.

What do you expect. He doesn't even let the other band members to be in the Music Videos with him, Lol

Love the dude though. Proper hipster and doesn't even hide it!

I mean, I respect him saying we write good music but he's basically saying "we're the shit" at the expense of shitting on his peers. You don't hear this stuff from a lot of Japanese musicians either. I don't hate him for it however

Like I said, I am not really surprised he said that. In fact I am actually more shocked that it took him this long to say this. Ichiro is well known arrogant, authoritarian presumptions person. He even look down on his band members, let alone other people.
His pompous attitude can be seen more clearly in their latest album actually. Its quite mellow and try to tap more into a more experimentational route and tries too hard to be this post-pop styled music.

That actually drives me towards listening to it tbh

That's not too surprising. It's a...shocking choice to be honest. They're quite different from other idol groups, but they're still extremely poppy. Earlier this week they were performing at a children's zoo, and now they're going to end the week by performing at Ozzfest.

The wonder of MomoClo.

And it's today, so we'll see soon.
