I stopped watching Roommate about 20 minutes into ep 11 I think, when the whiny unemployed actor guy was crying about doing the dishes. Unless Nana was the main focus for over half of each episode I can't put up with that idiot any more.

That idiot got scolded quite a lot and also many times. He doesn't have that much screen time nowadays.

Marathoned JeKry show. I don't usually watch reality shows but this one had my attention. It's nice to see how the siblings are in the spotlight and outside of it. I also enjoyed their eating adventures and dat house is nice!

Sica ruining my bias list as well.

All of them speak SOME japanese but Sooyoung is the only one who can and does hold a conversation in say an interview setting.

Also she's a great talker and really funny.

Fair enough. But I don't think the fact that she can speak Japanese played a factor in her getting in SNSD. I mean we all know the history of the group, and I find it highly unlikely that SM already had plans in 2007 for them to break into the Japanese market.

Anyway, going back to the real issue at hand... SM really just needs to announce that Sulli's out. That way, if need be, we can remove f(x) from our hearts and let RV take over.
Irene is seriously winning me over right now.

This sounds a lot like Loving U. If it's anywhere even close... then praise be Sistar for closing out this summer with a bang.

Bored of ice buckets yet?

BoA did it.

So did Lizzy, using English (and nominated Luc Besson and Sheikh Mansour lol)

Nine Muses' Kyung Li and ZE:A's Kevin will be teaming up for a project unit!

On August 21, Star Empire Entertainment announced that the two labelmates as well as an unknown female singer are currently preparing for an upcoming project. The agency added, "A digital single has been planned for release in early September."

An insider further revealed that the new single was produced by composer Rado, and the music video has yet to be filmed. Fans can expect a provocative sexy concept as well.

Lizzy is seriously the best. Her English is adorable and those were some smart nominations too. Also "Orange Caramel's Lizzy", that After School shade.

Dal Shabet fans, Subin and everyone else except Ahyoung doing the challenge.

Edit: Sooyoung did the challenge and she spends some time talking about a Korean ALS charity, Seungil Hope Foundation, that she and SNSD have worked with before. There's some donation info in her video for those in Korea if you want to donate.

140821 STELLAR - MASK @ Comeback Stage

The very first performance and the choreo is already being changed lol. Pretty good though, it's different to Marionette but I like it. Much better line distribution too.

Congratulations to Seohyun for graduating early even while dealing with SNSD promotions. And look, a perfectly timed photoshoot (the best SNSD photoshoot of the year too):

SNU is far but thanks to the amazing Korean subway you can be in ㅎㄷ in half hour. You'll probably spend most of your time in 강남 I suppose, for convenience. Your cock will be rock hard.

I will be living in ㅎㄷ by then, so I'm looking forward for our nights out. Feel welcome to crash at my place.

Jiyoung doing some modelling (at least once) in Japan it seems

Apparently she's signed with a Japanese agency.

Muse No. 7?

That's a great photoshoot but those monstrosities deserve at least

Further ice bucket challenges from Dasom, Seungah, Jia (part 2), Yeeun & Yubin and Eat Your Kimchi. Meanwhile, Mayuyu turns in a somewhat underwhelming performance. We need Sasshi to step in and do it properly.

YG Entertainment Acquires 61.1 Billion Won Investment from LVMH, Looks Into Expanding to Fashion and Cosmetics Industry
The French luxury goods giant, LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) has decided on its investment of 61.1 billion won (approximately USD 59.7 million) into YG Entertainment, with a possibility of increasing up to 80 billion won (approximately USD 80 million) that could help the entertainment company’s expansion in the fashion and cosmetics industry.

On August 20, YG Entertainment announced that it will sell a total of 61.1 billion won (USD 59.7 million) worth of new shares to LVMH’s Asian trading arm, L Capital Asia.

L Capital Asia is also looking into buying 20.4 billion won (approximately USD 20 million) worth of additional shares from YG Entertainment’s CEO and founder, Yang Hyun Suk. Further details regarding the investment deal will be announced after it is finalized in the shareholders’ meeting that will be held on August 27.

With the 1.25 million convertible preferred shares priced at 44,900 won each that can be converted into common stocks after a year coupled with the additional shares that it is looking into acquiring, LVMH will become the second largest shareholder of YG Entertainment.

According to YG Entertainment’s regulatory filing on August 20, the stake sale is aimed for the company’s long-term development and entry into new business.

Speculations regarding YG Entertainment’s foray into the fashion and cosmetics industry are increasing as YG Entertainment and LVMH are said to be in talks for a strategic partnership according to Eai-Jin Song of YG Entertainment’s investor relations team in a report by Reuters.

According to earlier reports, YG Entertainment is set to launch fashion brand “NONA9ON” by next month. The brand, which is in collaboration with Cheil Industries of Samsung Group’s fashion division, will target the trendy youth and will feature YG Entertainment’s fashionistas BIGBANG’s G-Dragon and 2NE1′s CL as models.

The company has also expanded its business into the cosmetics industry with its collaboration with China’s Guangzhou Huanya Cosmetics Technology and Korea’s COSON last year.

Let me get this stupid challenge straight. People are wasting water to raise awareness for other people to donate money to charity??

If you think about it, they aren't really wasting water. Those that did it outside, the water would just get evaporated and continue its water cycle. Those that did it in tubs or bathrooms probably had it drained afterwards, which then the water would be recycled and reused. Those that did it in grass are watering the grass.

edit: Add Hyoyeon to the list.

I'm sure 98% of the people doing the "challenge" are not even donating. Meh. I still don't fucking know what ALS is since no one ever takes the time to explain it.

Why so cynical? It has actually raised huge amounts of money and awareness, even Korean celebrities have been donating money to the foundation.

As for you still not knowing what ALS is... Google it.
