Indeed.

Can't wait to turn any of that haptics bullshit off, if present.
Then don't buy this controller — you won't need to worry about turning them "off". Keep using the XONE | SX controller. :D
You don't need to be this dedicated to the cause... where you are hating on features that were introduced elsewhere first.

Xbox getting them, or some variation of them, is a good thing.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

The implication is that if this is a part of the standard next machine.

Why would I go out of the way to buy it now. 🤔

Also multiple other users have said the same thing so I'm far from an outlier in this topic.

Chances are, you'll still be able to use your existing controller on that.

Fair enough I suppose but ya'll can simply not purchase this, as long as it is "optional" and again, I think the chances are good that even if this becomes the standard, you'll still be able to use your current one. Companies only need to encourage or require use of something when it's not standard, when it is something they need to push for. Xbox adopting it is a good thing IMO since it will become a standard, like vibration and dual analog... etc etc.

I like the gimmicks as a whole, but I would like to be able to have Start and Select buttons instead of whatever Sony made them now.

Also, bring the colors back on the shapes, they're needed for some older games QTE events.

Imagine being Sony, having a 5 year head start and Microsoft takes your lunch money because you refused to support the biggest platform in gaming. Microsoft will be late to the party and still make a killing because Sony refuses to make the controllers 100% PC compatible.
Yeah sure, lets pretend like Sony creating drivers would have convinced former Xbox owners to switch from asymmetrical controllers to symmetrical.... Isnt it funny how the best selling controller and accessory this generation has nothing to do with "the biggest platform in gaming"?

It's not about former Xbox owners, it's about PS owners who also play games on PC. I have 3 Edges and still use the Elite significantly more because the Edge sucks dick on PC. And how retarded do you have to be to not be able to use both asymmetrical and symmetrical? Literally every other platform uses asymmetrical sticks, the only people who can't seem to adapt are PS only gamers.

I'll.be interested in this because if they get haptic working over BT it means they could do on the dualsense.

At the moment haptics don't work for it cos BT doesn't have the bandwidth and latency for the audio signals it's using to recreate the haptic in the pad. Sony has never updated this and they have never used a USB 2.4ghz dongle to alleviate it.

I'm not sure what MS could do unless they used something like BT 5.2 and used APX low latency which Windows doesn't support natively lol.

But aren’t the controllers connected via BT on the PS5? Mine all say they are, and all the haptics work fine.
