I'm also in the camp of playing the shit out of this on 360, but didn't have it for PC. Initially I didn't have a PC that would run it at all, but that has changed since the game came out. I might have already bought it, but there was no demo and I just wanted to make sure the game ran fine. If the game is at any kind of sale price this weekend I'll probably pick it up (provided it runs fine, which it should).

It didn't help that I knew a Smoker would be outside of the window, and I got pulled anyway, then because it's on a window sill I fell immediately back down after I got picked up. Blasting a zombie in front of that alarmed car on DA3 didn't help either. But I thought everyone was going to heal inside the parking garage and now outside in pounce zone. I think we kinda just gave up after getting about 6 or 7 fewer medkits on that level.

The hundreds of hours I've spent in L4D would disagree.

Really, the people playing through this game in the same way they would play Gears of War are playing it wrong. (in terms of campaigns)

WTF are you talking about? Versus is the best mode in L4D. Also if anything, this friday will suck major ass for versus since there will be a bunch of noobs playing.

Then again, if you're a ragequitter then this friday would be fun since you won't have to ragequit.

If you're playing with people you know, or get lucky and the teams are fairly even, otherwise it just gets a bit boring and crap.

I had the same problem, had to "minimize" it with the right arrow thingy and maximize it again. It's under installed as "pre-load complete".
Now it's just a question of waiting for valve to actually allow you to play the trial, since 12:01am GMT doesn't seem to mean the same thing to them as to the rest of the world... Yes, I know I'm being impatient, I'm just really looking forward to trying it =p

Yeah, it's gone for me as well after pre-loading it earlier, seems to be a widespread problem. I'll just go play some TF2... oops, no, they stealth-patched it so it crashes on launch now. :lol

When you make a lobby and search for a game it'll try and host a server I've got running, it's usually empty so should be free. Plus I have stats!
