Not sure if the guy's my type but people seem to look different a lot outside of pics (I think certainly the case with me) and even if it doesn't work out hopefully the opportunity is there for a friend. We shall see.

I don't have a great advice, but I support this kind of thinking. I try to apply it to myself as well, because I doubt I'll meet amazing looking guys, so I have to compromise a bit. I'm currently kinda dating a guy who isn't quite the looker, but I'm having fun so far. Give it a chance. Worst case scenario - end it.

I've been watching some documentaries in English and I think my listening is indeed getting better Since I've been in a North Korea phase lately I've recently seen these:

- Kimjongilia
- Inside North Korea
- DPRK - The Land of Whispers
- Welcome to North Korea
- Corea del Norte: Acceso al Terror (yup, I cheated with this one, lol)

Some of those contain mostly text in English which defeats the purpose, haha. The most recent being Kimjongilia (just finished watching it), they're starting to overlap a lot so it's time to change topics If I had to recommend only two of those I'd recommend Kimgonjilia and Welcome to North Korea. The Land of Whispers is very interesting too because it's told from the perspective of a tourist, but because of that I think it's a bit limited.

This sounds pretty terrible but as an Indian person I have never found any other Indian attractive, other than John Abraham but he doesn't look Indian so he gets a pass. Plus it doesn't really help that I hate most Indian culture...

I can't really say anything about that, I don't know anything about Indian culture and I know of like a handful that I find hot. Attraction is weird and irrational so I don't think it's really something to feel bad about, all we can really do to try to make it better is try to remain open and to not have our preferences or opinions calcify too much.

Yaaaaas, this. I'm not a fan of guys with huge muscles, just some muscle definition. I do like bulk sometimes but only if it's like a stocky build with soft muscles.

Same here, don't particularly care for overly muscular dudes. A well toned body is more than enough (even a little bit of chubbiness is good).
