List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

Has Diablo 4 been Pro patched yet?
not sure if it is patched yet but I tried it out earlier and it was a bit smoother than normal as far as lag goes with crossplay on. It seemed like I was getting less frame drops doing the Maiden with multiple people. That just may be due to the extra performance expected without a Pro patch.

I don't think it has the patch yet, fps seems about the same as my normal PS5 when they dropped the vrr + unlocked frame rate patch the other week

Good news for Space.Marine 2 :
Framerate is better but it's still not a solid 60 during hectic moments.
Still, I'll take every improvement (even without a Pro patch yet) over the shit-tastic performance on base PS5, game feels good now instead of playing in slow-mo !

Also : maybe it's me but...the console menus/UI seem and look more laggy ? Has anyone noticed that ?
Not enough. The throne demands a patch.

Also interested in your last questions. I also noticed this. I thought I had to return mine because no one is talking about it but maybe they can fix it via software?

What is the recommended setting for Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster? My game defaulted on Performance Pro.....I thought I'm not supposed to choose anymore. CERNY!!!!
Gorilla couldn't help themselves lol.
Yeah the performance PRO is the definitive mode if the remaster is anything like forbidden west.
the other modes are now pointless.

The only game I have been disappointed with so far has been Harry Potter. The RT mode runs like crap (even by 30fps standards), which seems a bit pointless tbh. In contrast, I think the RT mode in Alan Wake 2 runs well.

The Crew Motorfest is one of the biggest improvements.

It's a blurry mess on base ps5 looks down right disgusting.

On the pro it looks 4k. This upscaler is the tits.

Just as good as dlsss
I was wondering about The Crew and Test Drive tbh - two games I don’t own, though I did try The Crew demo. Like you said, it wasn’t very impressive on the base PS5. How does it run?

Perfectly.

I have it on PC too and on there it has micro stutters so it's nice to play it smoothly at 60.

It's a nice game just have to turn all the voices and ui shite off

Not quite as good as the forza horizon games. But in terms of PS5 PRO it's a huge upgrade.

Aside from that just tried jedi survivor and I'm not impressed the game is definitely upscaled and looks better but the 60 mode still looks fuzzy in some areas and there's a strange smeary quality to it.

And then there's me who only played Astro's Playroom for now, and enjoying it as fuck.

But tonight I will start TLOUP1 on that sexy beast.

I'm still unsure if Black Ops 6 is 'enhanced' yet, but it's definitely better than on base PS5, i'd like to get PSSR made available on it unless it already is, but it very much looks like FSR still to me, however the resolution definitely does seem to sit in the higher bounds of the DRS range and when i say 120fps mode doesn't drop a frame, i mean nothing, it's rock solid, not even my PC locks so hard to 120fps on this game, even with a wider FOV hopefully they don't change that when they 'enhance' it, because that's ultimately the best thing about it right now.

Did a fast run on Koboh on Jedi Survivor and wow, this is night and day. For starters framerate seems pretty much locked to 60 now. While it was mostly fine before, Koboh had both drops and hitches in specific places. Maybe they're still there, but I could not reproduce anything significant in the 30 minutes I played running around. Image quality is so much sharper and etailed than before. Unfortunately, it's still not quite perfect. The RTGI they re-introduced seems to be of low resolution and you can notice it creating quite a bit of visual noise in some spots. Still, the positives far outweight the negatives I would think.

On to download Callisto now...

Yeah two things I noticed was it's a much sharper image and it's more responsive. I don't think its patched though I think it's just brute forcing thr DRS.

Insomniac games have the worse PRO patches. IQ actually looks worse. Too soft. Again, i hope they add a sharpness filter. The best PRO patches by a mile are Stellar Blade and Horizon FW. They look incredible. What’s even more impressive is that Horizon is not using PSSR and it has the best IQ of any game on ps5. TLOU2 PSSR looks bad IMO. Once you start moving you can see the artifacts everywhere. At least they left the previous modes to select and now the native 4k plays amazing at 60 fps. So far i am satisfied with the console. Hoping for better implementation from 1st party games moving forward.

How's SH2R looking? I played on Performance Mode and know I missed a lot. Now considering a trade-in to the Pro. Does it run at a better framerate on Quality now because I'm trying to hold of on NG+ if there's a real improvement.

Can we all cry about how they took all the bad decisions with Rise of the Ronin? They had a quality mode unlocked running around 40 fps. So what do they do? They crank up the resolution to super high numbers and now the quality mode runs at the same stuttering framerate if not even worse. And performance I guess is ok but it’s still a massive loss of quality compared to quality.

Probably my favourite new game of the year which I platinumed and they just couldn’t get this right with some VRR implementation at 120hz or something. 0 appetite to offer a stable presentation. They should’ve just left the quality mode as it was to have the console brute force it. BUT NO!

FFS!

PS5 Pro SO runs on DDR5 instead of the overkill GDDR6. So maybe there is little to fix.

Radical, could you expand on your thought ? You mean that there's indeed a difference in menu/UI response between the OG PS5 and the Pro ?

Again, it's something that i noticed last night, i'm pretty sure it wasn't like this on my previous PS5 - when scrolling vertical menus last night (say, system settings), i could LITERALLY perceive the animation frames of the rectangular cursor when scrolling up and down.

Well, sadly my Pro doesn’t arrives until the 21th. But several gaffers have mentioned the slow down in the UI. It makes sense that if more GDDR6 is made available for the developers is because the operative system has moved to the newly added 2GB of DDR5, leaving the GDDR6 for games performance (available for the devs) and game cache (not available for the devs). While I prefer to spend that expensive memory on games there is not such a thing like a free lunch and running a OS designed to run in super expensive RAM is probably not the same in DDR5.

Oh, and call me Ed, please. Not radical.

Thanks for the thorough reply Ed, appreciate it ;)
Well, i didn't stumble on posts asking the same thing (whether the UI feels more laggy) so...

Anyway, makes sense although i really don't like it, it makes the console feel more sluggish and "cheaper"(?)
Things should always evolve/get better and not the exact opposite - especially on "premium" or more powerful hardware and yet, here we are.

Going to be honest here, i was Gob smacked the first few days with the PS4 Pro back in the day, playing Shadow of the Colossus or GOW at 60fps...fuck man, in contrast, the whole PS5 Pro experience has been underwhelming so far for me.

Cheers

The Pro experience is going to be great for wackos like me that’s been since last year saving games “for when Pro gets out”, since I expected it 3 years in the life cycle like the previous Pro. I haven’t play Armored Core, Final Fantasy neither Alan Wake. I’m in for a splash of resolution bumps. And I’m not buying Space Marine until it has a patch. I can live with the slow downs but what I wanted for this game is 4K reconstructed at 60fps, and not the blurry mess that the performance mode is now.

I would get this but I keep seeing that even with the Pro a lot of games still have frame drops etc. Feels like such a minor upgrade. Wish results were more impressive

Pretty sure they said they had no plans to but hoped it'd be improved out of the box

Willits said Saber has no plans right now for Space Marine 2 to join the PS5 Pro Enhanced list, but did confirm that the company’s engineers are in talks with Sony to work out if it’s something they want to support.

“So we're actually in discussions with Sony to figure out what we want to do,” Willits said. “Sony's really happy about the game. Microsoft is happy about the game too! But yes, our engineers are discussing what we can do. We have no plans right now. We're still trying to figure that out. Again, the PS5 Pro is brand new, our game, we're just trying to catch up. So we just have to be patient with our official plans.”

I think it depends what you're after. I'm on an 85" and only now feel like finally next gen is properly here. I'm now getting the image fidelity but at 60fps. I love it. I genuinely do. But I knew what I was after and what I wanted improved.

Armored Core 6 on quality is now a locked 60. At least on my VRR set. Even those cutscenes with the supplies coming they would break the framerate… all of that is smooth. Performance mode is now obsolete there.
