List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

You know what plays and looks much better? Wukong Quality mode.

I dropped that game because I found it unresponsive among other things but going back to it on the Pro is a different experience. There’s no traversal stutter anymore on quality (it’s very minimal) and the moment you start a fight the camera closes up on your enemy and the frame rate goes up close to what I feel is 50-60.

Totally playable game now. The 45 fps mode is useless and the performance mode always looked like a fried Switch game with lagging controls because of frame generation.

Impressive. And image quality on quality mode is really good and stable.

It's just the little details that the Pro really brings out.... and none of it comes from Fidelity Modes!

The game changer for me is getting that kind of cleanliness, at a solid 60, and outside of Fidelity Mode.

Really not seeing why people are complaining about the price. I think it is worth every penny of what is being charged. As I've already posted, Ragnarok is what has impressed me the most, never expected that. The image on my 55 inch OLED G3 is SO much cleaner and nicer looking than anything base PS5 quality mode at 30FPS could ever touch. I reckon maybe that people complaining most about the price are, perhaps, people who do not have enough disposable income to spend on such a superfluous purchase.

It's cuz they are broke man. I mean I get it, not everyone can afford it. They secretly want it, but are not within reach of the price.

They hope for the 'we hear you' post on Sony's side, but it ain't happening.

The price isn’t really different from the ps4 pro either

PS4 was like $250 at the time and pro was $400, a 60% increase

$700/450 = 55% increase

Its always absurd to me when people bring up the $399 price of the pro without more context

I have two main takeaways after gorging myself on YouTube analysis for the past couple of days:

1. There are a lot of smaller garbage YouTube channels which supposedly analyse picture quality and conclude night and day improvements in games that aren’t patched. Quite annoying.

2. People need to readjust the context in which they view the pro’s performance gains. Some seem to be stuck in the mindset of concluding the performance uptick on unpatched games is disappointing or comparing the performance of like for like modes from base to pro. I believe that Pro performance modes should be compared to the base PS5’s quality mode as that is what it is trying to match (in terms of image quality) and improve on (in terms of frame rate) with its performance mode.

The game doesn’t even sniff 60fps in Quality Mode.

Mostly hangs around the 40s and can get to the low 50s in non-demanding scenes. NxGamer recommends the performance mode as it sticks very close to 60 most of the time but with better response. Starts at 3:30.

It’s funny especially as no one bats an eyelid when someone says they’re about to build a $3000 “monster rig” or a $1200 GPU to allow better settings.

You say you’re buying a PS5 Pro for the same reasons and the World loses its mind lol.

An even bigger reason that is far more perplexing is that people don't think twice about spending $1,000.00 or more per YEAR on a new phone yet the thought of a $700.00 video game system is somehow appalling.

I cry about Xbox and hate PlayStation.

i noticed this as well.

and also: "the PS5 PRO is a scam, i just go build a gaming PC instead".

Dead Space is great now with no need for VRR and the minor traversal hitches seem to be gone too. It uses DRS apparently, but I haven't noticed any increase from base PS5.

Wish me luck I'm about to jump into the marmite and controversial Jedi Survivor. If I come away no longer referring to it as Janky Jedi, then that'll be cool.
What’s the resolution for dead space ?

Shimmer shitshow. You can totally notice it in the medical facility when light comes through the windows. Also seeing how other games are crisp, this still looks like somebody smeared Vaseline on the lens. It’s just disappointing.

Damn after all the promising videos a few weeks ago 😔

yet they not complaining about the price of just a graphics card ,over twice the price the 4090 is compared to Pro nevermind the other parts you need in the pc.

Everthing I have tried looks so much crisper running at locked 60.

Think the official reviews from various outlets have totally undersold the console.

Having difficulty deciding my next game to play over the holidays

Silent hill 2 is a must but I’m waiting for the official ps5 pro patch

So…looking at other games I haven’t played - BG3, Metaphor, or BM:W

Of these, I think I’d definitely like Metaphor or BM:W….not sure if BG3 is my kinda game

Leaning towards Metaphor which sadly probably won’t get a Pro patch, but also wouldn’t benefit as much since I hear it’s now a locked 60 and isn’t really a graphic stunner like BM:W which I feel I should hold out for a patch more

Heck, I guess I should consider DQ3 HD remaster too

It is pretty funny because we just had a CPU launch that sold out instantly that cost $480 and we even have people buying them for $800+ on ebay. A CPU that the vast majority of people will see very little benefit from since they play at 1440p/ultrawide/4k resolutions. And people are very enthusiastic about the part because it's the best.

Yet PS5 Pro, being the best in the console space, gets no such treatment. I'm satisfied with my $700 even though the uplift is less than I wanted, because at the end of the day I know it will give me more stable framerates which is my main pain point when console gaming.

It's simple, PC warriors plus the fact that Microsoft does not have its own Pro model

I am playing Metaphor now(waited for ps5 pro), and it is better on Pro, but framerate is still very unstable. You can go as low as 50fps sometimes, but VRR covers it. On base PS5 stuttering was really noticeable almost all the time even on vrr capable tv. Glad i waited.

Or maybe us 'poor' sods who bought the unit and are unimpressed after the after hype. I'm not see a game changing difference in many games other than 1 or 2 and certainly nothing in Halo 5 One X patch which made it look almost like a new game.

I got the Pro, and I also have a more powerful PC than the Pro. Still not going to act like it's a good deal for the money.

Also, it's funny how a lot of people here are complaining about PC warriors, when this forum sometimes feels like an echo chamber of Sony fanboys.

Furthermore, I don't recall many people saying that $1000+ GPUs are a good deal, actually it's the opposite most of the time. Consoles have almost always been a great value option for the price when compared to PC hardware, the Pro simply isn't. When you factor in the higher price of games and PS Plus requirement for MP, I really don't see how anyone can say it's a good deal at that pricepoint.

Monster Hunter Wilds doesn’t have a PS5 Pro patch but it seems to be coming close to quite regularly delivering its marketed 45% GPU performance upgrade in the Wilds’ fidelity mode from the looks of this footage. From what I can see it’s usually 10-15fps better than base PS5 in fidelity mode. It’s even over 15fps better in some places it seems:

I tried Doom eternal. Playing on Rt mode is buttery smooth. I dont remember how it was on base ps5
Pretty much locked 60.

I saw that too, very positive. I don't think we're getting locked 60 seeing how limited it was on my PC CPU, but it won't be too bad from the looks of things.

That's interesting because i thinks right now Monster Hunter Wilds is the game with boost mode where we see the biggest gain in term of performances. basically you almost always get a performance gain of 40~45% in resolution mode when comparing the PS5 to the Pro with like you said 10-15fps more on the Pro.

Hyberbole 1x1. It's most definitely objectively not a shimmering shitshow. In fact it's not worse than on normal PS5. It's just not true.

Thats wrong sadly. Game runs worse, but it is indeed looks much better
But worse case scenario (run through the forest) it stays in the VRR window. Who cares if it runs a few fps slower if you have better image quality? My issue with AWII is how bad PSSR resolves the hair of the woman.

Do u have by any chance motion interpolation enabled? Because if so u might have set it too high. That was the thing I observed when I enabled it.
