List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

JohnnyFootball

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
I am kind of regretting getting the Pro. I bought it out of wanting the best and I have nobody but myself to blame since it was obvious that the using the same CPU was going to limit the improvement in what I cared about most: frame rates. I wanted the Pro to turn unlocked 60-70 fps games into 90-120 fps games, which with a more powerful CPU combined with PSSR I believe would have been possible.

live and you learn.

What a terrible mistake to have watched some AW2 gameplay running on a high-end PC on Youtube lmao, the game looks nothing like it on the Pro, granted I play in perf mode but the small town at the beginning of the game looks.. bad? A lot of shimmering, aliasing, pop in, low res textures, awful shadows etc.. the game looks much better in the forest, but that town is very disappointing and screams AA for sure, there are just too many shortcomings.

Even on the base it shouldn't look this bad.

The engine doesn't seem very well optimised fro the consoles.

GT7 and SH2 still don't have Pro updates? Would like to know how GT7 will run with the Pro update in PSVR2. About AW2 yeah the 30fps is not worth it. Too low res for RT. Nah... Hope they fix or improve the performance mode.

The Pro is missing Pathtracing. That’s a sizable big difference and PC is undoubtedly the best device for it.

Honestly, if developers just asked GAF what to do, everything would be perfect. /s

Developers can make dumb fuck decisions, many examples over the years.

I think the best end result would be giving players even more options to choose from - not removing options. Sony games have many variations of modes for years now

Yeah that game released needing a lot of help on base PS5, a decent PSSR implementation might fix it.
Not sure if PSSR would do more harm than it helps for this one. I think the cpu boost from game boost is doing just enough to get this in the VRR window. PSSR could take that bit of performance away.

Having difficulty deciding my next game to play over the holidays

Silent hill 2 is a must but I’m waiting for the official ps5 pro patch

So…looking at other games I haven’t played - BG3, Metaphor, or BM:W

Of these, I think I’d definitely like Metaphor or BM:W….not sure if BG3 is my kinda game

Leaning towards Metaphor which sadly probably won’t get a Pro patch, but also wouldn’t benefit as much since I hear it’s now a locked 60 and isn’t really a graphic stunner like BM:W which I feel I should hold out for a patch more

Heck, I guess I should consider DQ3 HD remaster too
Well you could probably play several games in the time it would take to finish BG3 or Metaphor.

Glad I'm not the only one.

I can see its a bit clearer on Performance Pro vs Base Performance and there is less pixel breakup on moving grass, but it doesnt seem to reach the original Base Fidelity mode IQ though. Its seems to be pretty small difference for sure, maybe if he tested more scenes while moving.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
Is this the ps5 remaster?
Yes it is.

Another note regarding Alan Wake II, is everything set to low or something.
I don't understand why the game looks so messy and low quality everything, even with Raytraying off the picture quality looks very poor considering it's using PSSR.
Everything looks unstable and has a watery ripple effect going on everywhere.
I mean what's going on here..

DF showed that on their Pro review video, it looks sharper compared to the original Performance mode but it has a lot of shimmering and noise in the reconstruction. Its really disappointing what Remedy has done to AW2, i expected more. Hope they can keep patching it but i doubt it.

Unfortunately, even in quality mode on pro, AW2 is still a grainy shimmering mess. less than on base console but still not to satisfactory level.
But if you open photo modes and the game is still... it looks jaw dropping. Some shots I took... Like bro. You add a light (otherwise character looks like ass. Another proof hero lighting is a must), remove film grain, add one of the "frames" and it looks amazing. The last pic looks so realistic

The game isn't that bad under different conditions, it's just Bright Falls town in daylight that looks like its rendering in a lower resolution

Did y'all turn off motion blur, film grain and all the that? It improves the image
It's only viable to turn off motion blur in the Performance mode but a lot of people understandably want to play this game in Fidelity to get some decent settings. Turning off motion blur in 30 makes every game look terrible...

I just can't believe how inept Remedy has been with this game on consoles. What was that nice sounding blog post for anyway when the game still looks and runs like shit and with garbage rt reflections ...a bunch of hot air as usual

Out of all the games patched for Pro this is the one that had the most room to improve. The most demanding too apparently but that doesn't excuse them.

BTW has anyone noticed that certain games look duller on the Pro in certain lighting conditions? I don't know if it's oversharpening related, gamma related, or the way pssr handles specular highlights but AW2 is one such game that doesn't look right. Another is actually the Horizon Zero Dawn remaster but only during day time lighting conditions ...another one is Dying Light 2 which I find is another disappointing upgrade ...

I'm loving certain games on Pro but like I was worried about before launch it's the crappy support that is hurting this thing ...for Sony to not have games like Returnal, ghost of Tsushima, astrobot, uncharted 4 and others is a big deal ...everything Sony should be patched day 1 ....instead it's looking like another ps4>ps5 situation where they inexplicably pretend certain games don't exist.

This! We're playing Performance mode just with good upscaling in some games ...still have to play 30 fps to get great visuals i don't understand why they can't drop native res in Fidelity modes then upscale from 1440 to 4k thus retaining high settings?
