So many swimmers using Beats headphones. Are they sponsors or are they just really popular among athletes?
Official sponsors gonna be pissed! The IOC and London Olympic organizing committee have gone to great lengths to protect their official sponsors from outside competition, but Dr. Dre appears to have circumvented these regulations with an ambush marketing campaign for his Beats headphones. As the Guardian reports, Beats representatives have been handing out specially branded headphones to select athletes, despite the fact that the IOC prohibits non-official sponsors from advertising around the Olympics.
South Africa and China currently neck on neck in the Rowing Women's Pair final.
OH.Losers final.
The real final is the next one.
When you buy tickets now you get two options. Pick up at the venue or print off ticket.
Thing is Chinese Taipei are pretty bad at football and won't qualify
OH.
I was wondering what that Final B meant. :lol
Jiang Tianyi isn't even an actual HKer. He's from Shandong and got HK residency to get into the Olympics. They wish they were
Fuck me HKers hate Chinese people.
Turned it off now, watching rowing, it was a bit bring
On the note of the US winning in everything, I believe that I've read that handball and table tennis are the two summer olympic disciplines that the US has never medaled in...Women's handball between South Korean and Norway is on, for those interested. Both are serious gold contenders. This is how it went in 2008 when they met in the semi.
okay guys I've had more thought on my quest to get to the olympics in 2016.
I can marry my GF, and thus qualify for Chinese Taipei (Taiwan) because I automatically get permanent residency.
Now I'm pretty good at football, so I could probably play for their football team. Help me out here guys.
Surprisingly good news.News is that the Chinese(?) pair who cheated and lost on purpose along with the their compatriot and opponents might be disqualified
News is that the Chinese and Korean pairs who cheated and lost/tried to loose on purpose might be disqualified

But you have to qualify for the Olympics and I don't think Chinese Taipei football team has any chance.

What is a good iPhone app to upload photos? Going down to the cycling time trials this morning.

If only that schedule was navigable from within the iplayer.
They really get it though. not like nbc
Surprisingly good news.
Losing on purpose just because one of the stronger teams lost in the earlier rounds, or because of medal manipulation, definitely deserves disqualification.
Eases the pain of losing, I noticed. The "winners" of these finals have looked happy so far. :lolIt's funny. There are only 10 teams for the whole event and so these teams in the "Final" are the 4 worst teams.
So, this is how they get around having a glaring hole in their ruling system? Fix the rules instead of punishing the athletes just because they take advantage of said rules. They didn't cheat at all. They played by the shitty rules that exist in badminton.
Any rowing results yet this morning?
Permanent residency alone might not qualify you to play for their team.okay guys I've had more thought on my quest to get to the olympics in 2016.

I saw that live. He was joking and smiling about it despite just having lost. Not salty at all.Funniest thing of yesterday? When the BBC interviewer asked the GB swimming relay team how much pressure did they think was on Phelps to win Gold. Their response?
"Well I think he'll be fine with his 18 other medals."
LOL Salt in its purest form.

In the name of all the competitors I promise that we shall take part in these Olympic Games, respecting and abiding by the rules which govern them, committing ourselves to a sport without doping and without drugs, in the true spirit of sportsmanship, for the glory of sport and the honor of our teams
Permanent residency alone might not qualify you to play for their team.
It was pretty clear from the clip I watched linked back. They even said they were trying to "conserve energy".How the hell do you even decide if they lost on purpose or not. Its a completely subjective fact. loosing on purpose happens all the fucking time. Its called being smart. Are we gonna punish the american gymnast males since they obviously did not do their best 2 days ago.
