can somebody explain the tactics in the sprint event to me? whats the goal of the lurking-phase? Trying not to lead and overtake with cycling 'DRS' ?

I don't usually watch cycling so I could be off base here but I think the peson in first doesn't want to sprint the whole race because the trailer would have an easier time by slipstreaming and would have more energy to go for an overtake at the end, so they just go slow for a while and try to block an overtake.
