There is no loss in translation, misunderstanding, getting you wrong. You very much were in support of the idea that PlayStation was in some form of critical collapse. Only thing is there’s NO such thing and reality should have bitch-slapped some sense into you. Instead, you are continuing to play a “piled on” victim and still have no sense of where you went wrong. You’re more concerned about a truly small detail (a SoP that has absolutely no bearing on anything) then the fact that this is a quarter that only the likes of Nintendo and Sony ever produce (meaning the industry supports what they’re selling).

Thus, it is pointless to argue it with you.

Not only did PS5 break the record last year for largest PS year ever, PS4 only had one year at 20M while PS5 had two above 20M. Also highest quarter ever.

Those operating costs were always in their financials since it's their own studios. They don't make an additional loss on it just less profit than what they would have had they released successfully.

I cant see it personally, I dont think the hardware sales have ever been in question.

If that is moving the goal posts then, I dont know. My original comments were always around software sales and software while the hardware is flying. I am sorry if I dont feel current Sonys software output warrants the success they are seeing. I feel a lot of people agree with me when you see the polls on this gen and last nights State of play.

I personally feel like Sony are coasting. They dont need to be pushed, and thats why lack of competition is a bad thing for US.

The narratives are the most annoying. "Plummeting console sales" yet PS5 hardware set a record highest quarter. highest it has ever done. Sold more than double what Xbox did the entire year in a single quarter. Yet they never celebrate those amazing sales records.

Now the Fortnite price cut bundle is gone from most normal retailers, although you can still buy it at Playstation Direct for now.

You get pilled on because you say false things and then just claim it's just a difference of opinion.

You say its concerning for third party that their software sales are falling, but on Playstation they are actually rising YoY. That's not a difference of option, that's a lie.

By default Amazon will only show you items that they will deliver to you. If you're in the US you'll see the console for $499.99 that is sold and shipped by Amazon.

Yes thank you for kicking in this open door for me Cap Obvious. Me and my "brothers-in-arms" have never claimed any of us represent a majority opinion. Again you invalidating personal grievances with a hobby with the profits of a corporation is highly reductive and quite frankly highly drone-like. I hope you find happiness in Sony's massive profits. Personally I am still waiting for the games to make my PS5 purchase worthwhile. Maybe that game is DS2.

As a final note, I recall as clearly as yesterday when Marvel fanboys shut down every criticism of MCU with box office numbers and Rotten Tomatoes. And look what happened, the "trolls" were proven right and the franchise ended up crashing and burning like Icarus did.

I somehwat agree with some posters. Current success is based on hardwork from past. Future success depends on current hardwork. While I like what Sony makes, they have had a few too many missteps and brand excitement ( for me personally, imo) is a bit low especially compared to how it was for ps4 this far into the gen. Personally hoping GoY and DS2 change things around for me.

Can't wait to see more salt and downplaying from Dench/IGN etc.
