I cant comprehend how someone has a 5080 and they contemplate to buy the console version lol
I have a 5090 but will be buying the console version of Battlefield 6. People have their reasons I suppose. For BF6 on PC it's requiring users to enable "safe boot" in the bios for kernel level access for their anti-cheat software. Nah fam, I'll grab it for PS5 Pro.

I was in the same situation. Its much easier to remoteplay on ps5 than fucking windows that cant sleep my pc properly. Having said that, short game means im playing my sessions on the big screen. So pc it is.

This is the first game I've preordered from a steam key site . . . says I'll get the key in about 11 hours.
I was starting to wonder if it'd get it late.

No one knows [when the review embargo lifts]. (which is not exactly a good sign)

Yeah, that's weird. Plenty of review codes went out, yet no one can say when the reviews will be posted? Maybe that's part of the NDA, too.

Hey all! Just confirming review copies have indeed been sent out and you can expect reviews to drop closer to launch. Thanks and stay tuned!

Apparently one of the reviewer finished it in a day. Now that can mean a lot of things, but im afraid this game will be really short.

A lot of games, even in big open worlds which Mafia isnt, can be finished in 8 hours or so if you focus on the story only which a lot of reviewers do. That being said the first Mafia games were also around 10 to 15 hours.

I'm expecting about 12 hours, like the first two games.

Some reviewers will play on easy just to blow through the game and get their reviews out quickly. Someone who rushed through it in a day might be in that camp.

I was hyped when it first got announced, but the more I see the more boring and conventional it seems. Everything also feels very stiff. If I play this game it definitely wouldn't be for the combat but more the vibe and potentially good story. I'm thinking low to mid 70s.

Yea, the serious reviewers take their time and get stuck on the tutorials!!!

ya, shit looked hype as fuck when first announced...latest trailer looked like a borefest. probably around 7ish....either way, listen up you silly gaffers, MAFIA games are played FOR ITS STORY, not gameplay, even though 2 had very decent gameplay but the stories are great and while mafia 3 wasnt as good, the treason scene is one of the best in gaming history.

I saw that one reviewer apparently completed the game in 10 hours.

13 hours with side content.

I can use PSVR2 on PS5 and PC. If the game is the same price I usually pick console just cause it's less of a hassle than steamvr and in a better area for vr.
Also sometimes I'd rather stream a game to my Portal than play a gimped handheld version on Steam Deck locally.

Do we actually know anything about whether the game will get a real Sicilian dubbing?

"Mafia: The Old Country will have fully localized voice acting in Sicilian to match the setting and time period." (from the listing on the PS Store)

That sounds pretty cool. I might even opt for Sicilian voices + subtitles for my playthrough. I've gotten used to that with Yakuza games and appreciate the difference it can make.

Nice thanks, will do the same!

It was so good when they announced it will be a shorter, linear game.

I think most hopes were crushed when we all saw the gameplay. It looked Janky, unpolished, low budget and that's when the expectations shifted.

Review embargo is tomorrow 5PM CET, same time the game comes out on PC. Im definitely waiting for impressions and lenght before buying it. I have BF6 beta to play anyway

For those like me who are interested but are also waiting for reviews instead of preordering, the game is a tiny bit cheaper on Green Man Gaming.
