Impression time!
Naruto:
Y'know what? I don't care if this makes sense or not, at least it's better than the extremely boring battle going on right now. I absolutely can't believe I'm saying this but ...
Bleach's Arrancar war was actually a better war than this one, and I hated the arrancar arc.
Bleach
Kinda boring, wasn't all of this chapter already essentially implied in the previous ones, or what? This feels like a hyperbolic time chamber-type ordeal.
One Piece
First half was all expected but in good fun. I really wonder how the large chunks of marines that'll be on the straw hat's side at the end will factor into the story as a whole..
The 2nd half of this chapter was epic though! Law's plan being put into motion is a really fascinating thing to see. I had the biggest grin on my face when reading DoFlamingo's reaction to it, absolutely epic.
I've noticed a few people discuss the possible reasons for his plan (specifically, DoFlamingo giving up his Shichibukai rank) in this thread so far, though I think
most of them don't fully account for his end goal, getting to Kaidou.
There's a few things that stand out to me:
- Clearly giving Ceasar back isn't part of Law's plan, because that'd once again mean that Kaidou would be able to keep growing his army.
- Clearly the biggest reason DoFlamingo is part of this plan isn't because he's a shichibukai, but because he's a very direct connection to Kaidou.
I'm pretty sure every step of Law's plan has one clear ultimate goal, getting as close to Kaidou as possible. To me there's only one reason Law would want Doflamingo to give up his Shichibukai position: Doflamingo is a much better pawn to work with when he's just a regular pirate.
