I hope the writer does get to try another action series, truly made the evolutionary epic conclusion to this fight amazing...gravity powers bending light, utilizing so much force that he spawns black hole from his hand even incorporates an event horizon, and that call to the manga title. Haiji will definitely have a special place in my heart.

So Blackbeards crew is now broken up into divisions like Whitebeards?

It's not shocking. If you want to have a lot of influence you need a far reach and having just one ship of 10 or so guys isn't going to cut it. It's sort of natural since Blackbeard has taken Whitebeard's spot. 10 guys isn't going to be enough to cover all his territory.

Makes me wonder how Shanks does it. He looks to have a fairly small crew (in comparison to Whitebeard at least). Unless that one ship we saw at the end of Marineford was just the flagship and there's more members out there.

Well Shank's crew looked pretty big when Hawkeye went to visit him way back when, so it probably is just the flagship we saw.

As far as Luffy goes, I think he is getting enough allies to call on where he won't need to grow his crew to that size. That said I could see Jinbei taking upon himself to run a second division, he seems to be the only one with any idea as to how the new world works anyway.

Luffy has 'allies'. Boa's crew, Jimbe's crew, Duval's crew. Law if the alliance holds. The process has already begun.
