Two days ago I made my usual order of manga and threw in the order the Obata artbook Blanc et Noir, half regretting it because it's a 71€ book.
Today I received it and I was pleasantly surprised by how big it was. Price is still outrageous but I can regret the purchase a bit less.

But really, the only part with real dread and hopelessness is imo in the first two dozens chapters. After that, shit is tough, but heroic: there are always enemies and obstacles and problems against the main characters, but they are there for the heroes being exactly that: heroic, winning against all odds, and feeling as it's they won just barely (though it wasn't barely, the won because they are the main characters and the writter did it so).
In fact the already big cast of main characters is pretty "stable", without any casualties. This isn't Game of Thrones.

They shouldn't need the freaking pendant to confess anyway, they're the most freaking dense people in the whole fucking Universe at this point, seriously, it's no where near as bad as Seo's stuff but c'mon.

To-Love Ru has a sequel, let's be fair. But at this point, you should be reading neither for the plot. Nisekoi is aggravating in terms of its plot progression, but the characters are still cute, the facial expressions are still hilarious, and while it's not as high on my list as it used to be, I still enjoy reading it most weeks.

TLR Darkness is basically only there to see how close he can get to it being porn before he gets censored and/or cut.

I look at it similar to Hayate at this point. The plot is so thin that they can't actually progress with it because it'd be over too quickly. So they tease progression every now and again, just enough to keep you interested in it, while the actual focus is rom-com antics.

The difference is really that Hayate is actually funny and isn't afraid to shake up its paper thin plot because Hata literally does not give a shit about it. Komi still thinks his plot matters, or at least wants to make his audience think he does.
