I'm sure this has been posted before but I really like this concept art for the costume done by Chris Samnee. I hope the show's costume looks something like this.

I'm so starved to see what the actual costume will look like. Hopefully we'll get a look soon.
I haven't seen this yet! Mein Gott.

So maybe Summer 2015, Fall 2015, Spring 2016, Summer 2016, and Fall 2016?

Holy shit. What.

I was under the impression these were series-like we would get a Daredevil Season 2, 3, etc. this just sounds like a series of one-off mini-series.

I'm heartbroken right now.

I like this a lot, but this screams TDK-Suit to me.

I wouldn't mind if they use this though.

Personally, I like smaller episodes in a season. And marvel like to work in phases nowadays. If the show is a big hit, pretty sure they're gonna make phase 2 netflix series.

Exactly.

So it's possible that Iron Fist and Luke Cage could combine into Heroes for Hire
Jessica Jones introduces other characters in the regular rotation.
and Daredevil teams up with Elektra
while there is now an open slot for a new show for the Phase 2
and they all team up again for Defenders 2 in 2018 just before they all show up in Avengers 3 to become fodder for Thanos.

That would be so beautiful to come to life.

No. Well...he would be ok.

My choice would be Omari Hardwick,

Good looking enough, but can pull of "hard" when he needs to. Decent actor. Waaaay better than Terry imo.

Sorry, but about 10 years too late.

He looks like he'd be a much better T'Challa than Luke. Terry Cruise has that tough, serious and yet goofy guy going for him. Plus, Cruise plays a damn good family man, which is apart of Luke's character. Luke never really had that "Good looking" guy going for him, however, T'Challa does.

Phase 2...

He's coming...

Phase 2?

I figured we were all expecting to be a reoccurring character in all 4 of the Netflix shows, and possibly an unofficial ally for The Defenders.

You think he'll end up with his own show?
I don't know much about them, but I was hoping maybe that open slot could be for Cloak & Dagger.

They are in NY, can be retconned as Inhumans (assuming that movie happens), are involved with Silvermane, who I believe is connected to Kingpin. So it could all tie together nicely. Punisher could once again show up here as the anti-hero vigilante.

I really like that. The Samnee art makes me like it even more.
Yeah the design is pretty cool. Coloured in would look even better.

Eh, I'm not seeing TDK at all. It's not like it's going to be black, especially since it's just a sketch. I think it's quite faithful to DD's costume but adds some really nice touches that work well as a movie/show costume. The mesh over the ears is brilliant.

Damn the open mesh over his ears so he can hear is fuckin inspired. Have they ever done that in the comics? What an amazing idea.

I don't think they have but yeah I love the mesh over the ears.

Have they discussed a release schedule for this yet? Is it going to be like House of Cards where they just drop the whole season? I fucking hope it is I'd love to just blitz through it in a weekend.

Hmmm, looks kind of bondage-y. I actually dig it.

I think Netflix has done a full season dump for every show that they've produced up to this point. They know their audience well enough to know that's what it wants.

The mesh over the ears is a great idea, and it does look like a great interpretation.

I'm just saying, it definitely feels evocative of the Captain America/Batman style cowl of recent years. Now that it's a bad thing. And the mesh is a great touch.

I wouldn't mind seeing Frank Castle pop up in everyone's shows, make everyone his bitch, leave everything in ruins, and then mic drop, exit stage left.

Binge watching is the future of TV.

Clearly they will drop the whole season. It's been crazy successful for them.

Yeah it'll be a full season dump.

Before now I hadn't thought of the possibilities of other heroes showing up in these series. Punisher being a reoccurring character would be amazing. Maybe they can bring in She-Hulk too? A man can dream...

That Daredevil costume would look good on television. I need to see the rest!

They really should (and I think they will) do the genre filter thing for the TV shows.

Agents of SHIELD = Espionage
Daredevil = Urban swashbuckling (maybe?) vigilante
Luke Cage = Black... guy... hero...?
Iron Fist = Kung fu action
Jessica Jones = Detective/Mystery show

I assume. They could easily to a hilarious superhero rom-com in the style of Ally McBeal with She-Hulk, but the biggest hurdle would be the effects, I think.

They are from boston and ohio, and dont need to be retconned they arent mutants they got their powers from experimental drugs. The retcon is they are mutants, just use the non lame , lets make everyone a mutant xmen push and its fine.

Oh I completely see a CA comparison. I think that's what I like about it, fits in with the universes established costumes but with a daredevil spin. It reminds me a lot of Cap's helmet. I just don't see the batman comparison. :p

That would be awesome if Punisher shows up. I want him to be in Avengers 3 with the rest of the cast.

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
Wasn't there an Iron Fist movie that came out a few years ago? I think it even had Bautista in it.

He never had that because Marvel never made him that. In the late 70s Luke was a good looking guy with an afro. Marvel made him that. I don't adhere to the idea that to be a badass you have to be very average looking.

And my T'Challa is going to be an up and coming actor. Not someone that's 40 already.

Omari has good range considering he might be viewed as a "good looking" guy. I've seen him play a bad ass ganster, as well as a loving boyfriend. Terry just seems comical to me, and I don't want my Luke Cage comical. Bad ass...family man...with a face that people want to see for 10 weeks.

This is pretty sweet, just I hope that it's not going to look too mechanical/metal.

So what colour's do you think they'll use for the costume? We have yet to see a full black costume from the male heroes so there is the possibilty of a black and red mix but I'm thinking they'll go far a similar shade of red that Flash tv show uses, especially since Blackpanther when he get's introduced will have the full black costume.

I think if anything it would look more leather like than metal. :p

I honestly like this better than his Marvel Now (pajamas + underwears and a pair of red gloves) suit he has now. I really hate how some artists make DD's suit look like some cheap Walmart outfit made of some flimsy cotton.

Pretty sure it is, but wouldn't these shows be great set in the 70's??

Don't have to directly tie them in to the main movie storyline either

It would be my hope that they'd be set in the 70's - I don't necessarily need this stuff tying directly into the MCU. I just want 4 kickass crime shows.

I feel the same way about Batman. I hate when his costume is drawn just like a shirt and tights or whatever. Unless the entire look is specifically retro where that approach works a bit more, I'll always prefer that character drawn with some kind of body armor.

I don't think it's necessarily up to Netflix in this case. While these stories are contained, they are a part of a larger universe and in order to properly reflect that, Marvel might want to let the episodes play out weekly without spoiling anything.

I doubt Netflix has no say in this. It's a partnership and Marvel knows how Netflix releases stuff. They wouldn't make a deal if that was a problem.

What sense does that make? Once something is released its "spoiled". What difference does it make making it an arbitrary week long wait?

I don't think they would have gone with Netflix if they weren't going to drop them all at once. That's Netflix's deal. That's how people expect to consume content there. Also, I think the fact the show is shooting now and not premiering until May is a sign that the whole season is going to be produced by then. Normally shows are still shooting while the season airing.

Netflix let Heroes go online week to week during it's last season. There are probably other examples. No hard rules.

They also did it with the Spartacus mini-series, but those weren't Netflix shows and that was before their original programming initiative was in full swing.

That was a long time ago. That also wasn't a Netfix original like this is. Every single original has had it's entire season released at once.

Tonight I begin reading Waid's Daredevil. I got the first two Hardcovers a while ago, but haven't had the chance to read them (though I have flipped through some of this series when it first started).

I wonder if Netflix's show is gonna lean towards a lighter Matt or one that's all dark and sad and tortured.
