I went on a blackout a week ago just to avoid any spoilers from people who already played the game.

16 hours more! Then one hour to get back home, and four free days for playing my ass off!

Blackout was easy, i got spoiled a month or so back but i forget most of it, havnt read any reviews or anything so the whole thing will be a surprise.

Kagari, I reserved mgs4 at a gs that isn't doing a midnight launch, could I go to another local gs and get the game there even though I reserved it at another store?

I'm actually feeling sick. I have been for this whole week.

I haven't been so hyped for anything in my entire life. But because I don't want to go in expecting too much, I'm trying to drowned that hype and pretend the game won't be as good as I've been anticipating it to be for the past 4 years... and I think that's having some side effects. :(

I really need to find something to do. The sickness only catches on when I'm reading through all these crazy comments on GAF. :lol

You'd have to rereserve it at the store you're going to pick it up at and cancel your old one.

Im with you bro....I am so beyond excited....for some people it was the idea of a new trilogy of star wars movies that got them this stoked, for me its always been the conclusion of the greatest character ever.

The review kinda flows so it's hard to point out individual points.
Basically the game shifts between epic & loud and calm & slow sections.
A lot of cutscenes but it it's a part of the MGS package and the quality is unrivaled.
Every aspect of the game is exceptional, took reviewer 25 hours to finish.
He hopes Kojima doesn't stop producing games of this caliber.

Schools ending and MGS4 in the same week. This week is indeed incredible. One thing that sucks is my friend spoiled the ending and I have to avoid him as muh as possible for fear of him dropping hints as hes trying to do. :(

Shit, I just read a blurb from the GI review talking about how free you are to tackle obstacles in any way you like, excitement rising. I'm one of those weirdos that likes MGS gameplay but hates the cutscenes.

Well I dont hate the cutscenes but I play for the gameplay. I think there are more of us than you think.

I am the same. I come for the gameplay. The cutscenes are nice but they are not the beef for me.

EDIT: I know that they don't count certain reviews sites into the average, but I was under the impression that it was usually user submitted on the reviews. Hence to Norwegian one being up but not bolded/counted towards the total.

While I love the story and am incredibly hyped to see what happens, the gameplay is what keep bringing me back to MGS on further playthroughs. I love the overall pace of MGS games.
