Also, over at Zavvis midnight launch, Dog tags are meant to be in the goody bag, and the competition involves the possibility of winning signed "Paintings". There are only 5 in the world. The thing is, I'm not sure about it being Paintings. In a way, I hope it isnt a painting o_o, but it would sound more realistic if it was High quality print signed by Kojima.

Ok so I just stopped playing to watch the football so thought I'd post a few brief impressions. Spoiler free

Firstly the Limited Edition packaging. It's really cool, looks great on my shelf, I'm glad I bought it BUT, it does feel rather cheep. Inside the main case theres a "mirror silver" box which contains the game and bonus disc which is very cheep looking. I wish it was a tin case or something. I think the Japanese Limited Edition is the best one, they even got a steelbook for the bonus disc! I'm gonna try and get it on ebay

Now the game! I'm about 4 hours in, still on Act 1. Just want to say that the menu is the greatest menu of all time. The first part of the first level was amazing. Jaw dropping. From that moment, it was like "wow, I've never played a stealth game like this!" The "stealth on the battlefield" concept is really well implemented. It does feel like an epic war is going on around you and you can choose whether to get involved or sneak through it. Been a good balance of the two from me so far. Stealth has never been so adrenaline pumping.

It did take me a little while to get used to the controls, I havn't played a MGS game in a while, and there are extra moves now of course. I still have a little trouble with the CQC, but that's usually just me messing up. The MKII's stun attack is a little unresponsive I think, but if it wasn't it would probably be too effective, so it's probably just for balance.

So far tho, I'm loving it, everything I expected. Just been pure fun. The shooting is enjoyable, the A.I. is good. Visuals are amazing bar a few textures. Everything is great, and going off everyone else's impressions, it's only getting warmed up :lol

I just discovered that towards the end. Oh and you only need to flick it to the side, like how the Sixaxis is used for re-loading in some games. Works during cut-scenes too. Very cool.

Do I need to have played MGS3 to enjoy this? I played 1 and 2, but skipped 3. and now I have a Japanese PS3 so would need an Asian version of MGS3 assuming its available with english language

yes.. or you can watch the gametrailers retrospective on MGS3.. its a good quick fix since the game comes out tommorrow

We do get the ultra limited edition which you can only find on ebay for 250 euros...........

And the series sells the best in Europe
