Yeah i mean whats the point of preload if you dont have time to download the game before midnight?
Its ridiculous some people from the US have it preloaded from yesterday and in europe just nothing
Finished the game. At good 1/3rd of it was fantastic. A good 2/3rd's is Splinter Cry, which is a good combination, but isn't Metal Gear.
Good game, but very different from the other MGS games. Took me
hours, but the story was contained in a
of those hours played, and the game could probably afford to be a shorter and tighter experience.
I have no doubts that it will be fun for those yet to play. It's my Game of the Year, but it isn't flawless.

Even though there is not alot of cutscenes and there are important stuff to be found only in tapes, the story so far is still crazy as shit. You'll miss out on the reactions and discussions so if you love the old MGS games like I do, you owe it to yourself to get involved. I hated PW(the exception) but I'm loving the shit out of MGS5 mostly because the story is far more interesting than PW and everything is just a joy to do. Not to mention the bosses are a fucktons better than PW.

Isn't it great when people out there have already finished a game you are not able to even download yet?
It's inventive and well written for the most part, which was a surprise. But I don't like all of it.

Have tomorrow booked off work, from the UK, bought on Steam and waiting for the download..
- If its New Zealand midnight; hurrah I get to play from tonight (Mon 1pm download start)
- If its New York midnight; hurrah I set an alarm for Tue 5am and play when I wake
- If its what Steam is telling me, 1 day 7 hours, I might as well go to work as it won't be available to download, let alone play, until Tue 6pm -_-

In the loadout menu, you can select your character. I guess this is for online though. In SP there is only Big Boss so far.
I've seen people have this bug before. Restart until it disappears.

I didn't take the gamble. I made myaelf free for wednesday. If it launches "tonight", I am going to cry violently.
I'm pretty sure you can also do missions later on as one of your MB soldiers, just like in PW.

Not sure, but there is a trophy for completing a mission using a Combat Unit staff member. Not sure WHEN but I think I've seen footage of this as well. So it should happen at one point, unless I'm mistaken.

I swear I remember seeing an official video showing the opposite. It was definitely single player - there's even a trophy for it. I haven't had the option to do it yet though.
Yes, upload your savegame to the cloud, delete the game, re-install.
The timer will then work when you get to the same screen.
Restarts did not help me, only the re-install did.
You're probably thinking of the Motherbase/FOB gameplay demo. I know what you're talking about, it's during the Motherbase demonstration, they show a 10 or so second clip.
Thanks, tried it again but same issue.
Taking the disc out of the ps4 then restarting seems to work for me.

So it seems in the UK at least the servers are still not active, despite the patch adding FOB support and whatnot. Anyone in other countries able to login yet, access FOBs, upload GZ data etc? Not that I'm complaining, just itching to get my FOB-on! Unless it's all just fucking microtransactions...

I could just spend days on this game without progressing the story. The possibilities are endless and the amount of fun in the open world is staggering. It just gives you 100 ways to accomplish any given task. 10/10 so far and my second favorite MG game after MGS3.

scouting (with updated binoculars) and recruiting my motherbase staff to increse my R&D level. Up to level 10 and need level 12 for the stealth suit
