Yeah there are bunch of missions still after 31. Most of them are just repeats of earlier missions with higher difficulty and restraints and they don't add anything to story.

Does anyone have any trouble picking up tapes? I ran into multiple radios that has music playing but have no option to pick them up. They blink and makes the SFX of the tape dropping but I can't pick it up.

Can someone, in plain English, explain how to get the 'true ending'?

Without spoilers, obviously.

I'm on Mission 38 and I don't want to continue till I know what to do so I don't regret it.

What's the quickest/best way to finish mission 18 then? Getting pissed off with the escort part, always get seen. I'm using Quiet to scout ahead and a launcher to take down the helicopter but it keeps going to shit with one of the
kids
dying.

I simply took
Quiet with me, got her to Attack the camp with the first objective, then sent her to the other camp and made her attack again when I got to the are myself. Fairly simple. Then I just moved her around as I needed for the rest of the mission. Got myself a Butterfly-rank with an S-rating.

This is a super early game story related question:

Did Kaz sustain those amputations due to the results of the ending of GZ or are those related to his captivity?

also the
PT radio broadcast
was totally playing on a radio in one of the missions I did recently. That was weird hah

So, not directly related to the game itself (content-wise), but still, I found it amusing.

I was at uni earlier today, walking towards one of the building, when suddenly, I see this:

Huge smile on my face. Made my day.

OMG ! It's near Paris 7 (university) isn't it ? I'm studying there lol

Uhh for your own good, you should consider the game over already and everything after that as post-game content.

Whaaaa? First I've heard of this, what's the glitch? Is it just not popping despite having all the blueprints, or is there a print that won't show up?

I touched on it yesterday but from further research it seems that if you pick up a blueprint, then die/checkpoint/restart a mission, the blueprint won't register but won't reappear or respawn again since you technically already picked it up, hence making 100% unobtainable and locking you out of 'The Collector' trophy. I'm missing the G44 blueprint so I'm fucked in the meantime until they patch it or something, seems pretty common and widespread. I'm hoping they'd address it in a patch considering it prevents 100% completion.

Yeah it's pretty great. I actually liked Chapter 2 quite a bit and thought the end of it was the best part of the story.

Yeah whatever I'm so sick of posts like this.

Quiet's (Cover Me) command is the best fucking thing.

Yes, it's a god tier command. I actually
completed mission 23 (I think that's it, the one where you are at the airport assassinating an arms dealer) just by sitting in a building during an alert. all of a sudden I heard her sniper go off and heard Kaz go "Good job, now get out of the hot zone." I was like "Oh wow, thanks Quiet lol."

suppressed sniper rifles are the best. I feel so badass using them.

The suppressed tranq sniper rifle is ridiculous, you can shoot people in their arms or legs and they fall asleep in like two seconds! I try and only use it in emergencies but man does it make cleaning up outposts and absolute breeze.

yeah right???? It gets a hell better when she has a gun with silencer.. she can capture a whole outpost while one infiltrates

People are right when they say Quiet is basically easy mode. Feels bad man. Maxed out her bond and went back to D Doge.

Ug, alright. Have fun with that.

Well, he's right (the first guy, not the guy you just quoted). I like Chapter 2 a lot but most of the story is at Mother Base instead of out in the field, and most of the missions are repeats. The new missions are great though, especially 43 and 45.

I can understand the exasperation, though. People calling this half a game are crazy.

Quiet draws even with DD again once every soldier is wearing a helmet, imo.

Really? so far it hasn't been that good for me to the point where I like d-dog better since he would constantly marks stuff near me. Then again I just got quiet like 3 missions ago.

I'm tired of people openly criticizing the severe failings of this unfinished game!

I do not understand how a game people are putting for 40+ hours for completion can be called unfinished. There has to be a better word or phrase to describe the problem.

Quiet eventually gains the ability to mark as well, except hers is actually better because she does true marking (meaning they show up on the map if you aren't playing with marked enemies showing around you.)

Not sure if this is a spoiler but very late game question here so I'll tag it just in case.
OK so what's the deal with building a nuke? I just want to get the trophy for it but then it's going to cost me hero points or something? Is it a lot of them? And why do I care about hero points? Also what do I do with a nuke. Can I just equip it as a back weapon lol

It limits who can invade your base, I think that's all but I haven't saved enough fuel yet.

whatever it takes to get S rank! anyway, D-Dog is great but I do find him constantly shaking off his body kinda distracting. it's like he has fleas or something lol

I'm on chapter 19, but why people say
Kaz is blind? I mean, when I rescued children,he disarmed one of them with one arm, dismantling the rifle from ammo in one sec. How can Kaz do that if he is blind? He was never a great soldier like Snake, it makes no sense, I doubt that is muscolar memory and he just "felt" the kid aiming at him and he acted like he did.

Glaucoma or photophobia? When you save him, Snake asks him about his eyes and he responds something like "it's just bright".

I can understand that it must be a bit of a bummer that some missions are repeat of previous ones, since that feels a little lazy and all but, what I don't get is:

First hours:

"Aw yeah, the gameplay is so great that you can re-do missions in many different ways and not feel boring!"

Later hours:

"Aw man, I don't want to replay missions!!"

Or:

"This game gave me 60 hours of fun. It's shit because x isn't what I wanted".

But then again, those things are common in this generation. Game has its flaws, but some people make it like if they were abysmal.

Loving this game so much. I'm on mission 23 now, did a bunch of them last night.

Quiet is kinda easy mode, but she's not always 100% SUPER EFFECTIVE, but probably 92%.
Getting the silenced tranq rifle is really, really nice.
She still seems to alert more people than I would though. She has definitely saved my bacon a few times when I didn't react fast enough.

I initially really REALLY missed DD marking everything in sight (on the map, not peeing), but Quiet has seemed to get better at that over time, and the intel team is pretty decent at getting me the good herb intel.

I enjoy the side ops for the most part, even some of the repeats. Taking down the same base full of heavy soldiers for the 11th time... not the most fun in the world, but I like trying new tactics and practicing different things. Since I typically just put everyone to sleep, everywhere during missions it's fun to go 'loud' once and a while.

I think I've played just about every night since launch for 3 or so hours. Me likey.

Fuck this game. Fuck this game so hard.

I was at the end of the (mission 12 spoilers)
rescuing dr. Emmerick mission. I was running away from the Metal Gear so I thought I could just escape the area. Nope, I failed the mission and couldn't even restart from the last checkpoint because the game saved as soon as I failed.

Wtf is this dumb shit? I'm not doing that long ass mission again. I'm done.

I actually love the repeat missions. Last night I did Total Stealth for the airport assassination and it was the most intense gameplay I've had the whole game. I managed to assassinate the arms dealer as soon as he got off the chopper but then had to exfiltrate down and out without getting seen. It was awesome.

Plus, they don't let you cheese Quiet's sniper battle in the extreme version and it was very enjoyable.

So to unlock Mission 46
I have to fully upgrade all of the Mother Base platforms? Urgh. What's the best/quickest way to do it? I think I've met all the other criteria needed to unlock 46 already.

The Stealth missions are great. The Extreme ones suck.
Or maybe it's me that sucks... either way they're too hard!

There will probably never be any story DLC, so my dream DLC for this game is Total Stealth and Subsistence modifiers for all missions

No, I don't think that's the case. Just keep doing side-ops.

No, just finish all the important, yellow marked missions and listen to the cassette tapes, and playthrough some side-ops. You don't have to upgrade everything or finish any of the modified missions.

No you don't. That's an urban legend that isn't true.

Oh OK. Does it unlock naturally after more side ops/bonus missions then?

Oh right. I probably need to do a few more side ops then. Listened to all the tapes and I've done the yellow marked missions.

Why the hell can't you crawl while on stairs in this game? You could in every single MGS game before, to the exception of PW.

There's a few that are available in multiple locations yeah, but there's also some that are only available in one location, such as the G44 Blueprint, the only one I'm missing.

Man I tried doing a training run on my own FOB and I don't think it's even possible to stealth the whole thing at this point without using hacks. The guards can notice you even if you're crawling as long as you're in their vision cone. You'd have to take out nearly every guard to get to the end without alerts especially because I positioned them at the main pathways.

That mission in general seems to have a ton of problems. The first time I played it,
I tried running around the mountain next to you at the start to hide from the Gear and it ended up stepping on a sandbag and getting stuck. I couldn't even call the helicopter because I guess it can't come in until a later scripted event, so I was screwed. Took me 15 minutes to realize I would have to start over.

I'm nowhere near them yet but I seem to think the repeat missions as similar to the comet levels in Mario Galaxy.

At the time, I couldn't stand those (but I was not liking the game much at that point anyway), but we will see how things go w/ MGS.

There's more #MGSARTINPARIS ! Just searched for it on Twitter. There's got to be more of them.

This is wonderful, why not every country does this? :(
