tried it already,
ghosts punching the caravan so the fulton fails.
Hm, tried luring them away far enough beforehand? It eventually worked out for me (and apparently also some other ppl in here). Don't know of an easier way unfortunately :(

Started playing the game and have a few questions:

1- What is the easiest way to identify all the side objectives? I try to scout every place before I go in and yet it doesn't show me the side objectives.

2- I'm still at the beginning (episode 6) so is level C good for soldiers to take them to the mother base or should I take only B and higher?

3- Mother base tutorial is pretty useless and doesn't teach you many things. I heard I can send soldiers on missions to bring more soldiers and resources to the mother base how can I do that?

1. Side objectives are revealed after you complete the mission for the first time.

2. Just extract everybody you take down, including level E and D. You will begin seeing more C, B, A soldiers when you raise your heroism stat. Build this up by taking outposts, interrogating soldiers and extracting animals etc

3. Combat Deployment in the idroid menus.

Traitor's Caravan is the first mission where I've genuinely been pissed off at the game. So much so I gave up for the evening and played Mad Max instead.

how to lure them away? they are constantly around you, trying to shoot them makes no difference.

Make sure before you get close enough for the skulls to pop out, you kill/incapacitate everyone in the area so there are less zombies around. Then once they do show up, lure them away by running around, then mad dash to the truck to fulton when they aren't around.

After that, book it to the gate and hop on Dhorse out of there.

I need to complete all the tasks for 30 missions, and I will be at 100%... but I don't feel like doing it.

Especially Extreme Code Talker
I need to beat all the skulls just to get the stupid tank to spawn

Is there any point to having turrets on your base, or are they just for reselling?

somebody willing to share some info?

iam on the mission traitors caravan
tried it at least 20 times and i still cant do anything.
first time i failed to see where the van is
second time the tanks killed me
third time when i got fulton for vehicles the ghosts kill me
and since then no progress.
whereever and whenever i try to get away with the van they fucking kill me.

sometimes there is some sort of stone or something flying it me, but its really rare so iam not sure what this is about.
i dont want shitty yt-walkthroughs, i want a simple quick helpful info regarding to this specific one question, if somebody is able to deliver.

fuck this mission :(

Crawl to the front of the tank or the armored car, then get in it after the cutscene. Makes the fight laughably easy since all they have are rifles

So I'm very slowly chipping away at the missions. Had just started mission 9
blow up the enemy transports in 15 minutes
I was crushing it. Kaz was singing my praises, tell me this is why I'm a legend. I finish the mission, at what I believe to be perfectly, but then they tell me the
Russians have sent a gunship and tanks for me.
So I figure by this point, since they said the main mission was completed, I'm good. Games saved. So I decide, why not, lets blow up the rest of the shit for some extra cash. On the last tank, as it's about to explode, it kills me. I'm like, ah man, I have redo this last bit of this mission again, no big deal. Game reloads, I'm back at the start of the mission.

Promptly shut off PS4, cursed Kojima and went to bed.

Oh yes. I also had a great moment where I almost had every side objective done on that mission and then
one of the prisoners was either killed or didn't spawn
.

traitors caravan CHEATERS WAY:
i thought there might be a trigger or some flagged event, instead i directly went to the airport, where it originally is situated, smoked the caravan, fultoned it, and run away withe the horse.
less than 5 minutes+s-rank.

i feel like an asshole to do it like that.

I know your pain, happened they same thing to me they kept bashing the truck. What I did is I went in from the back and lured the blue soldiers so I could fulton them (optional objective) then threw a lot of smoke grenades at the truck, triggered the cutscene and ran towards the truck, drove it for a little until you see the containers on the right side then jump out, fulton the truck and fulton a container and extract with it.

If you want to complete additional objectives you can wait a little until the unit that escorts the truck arrives and do everything else that I mentioned however this time before leaving the mission go inside a tank and shoot the shit out of the skulls to incapacitate them, extract the tanks and then leave with the container. Hope this helps.

Okay! New to this thread--I've put about ten hours in so far. A few questions from a FNG...

1) I'm still confused by the personnel menu--whenever I bring home new recruits I usually just hit R3 and auto-assign everybody. Is this okay? Are soldiers automatically put into a specialty once they're fultoned?

2) When can I unlock a nonlethal sniper rifle? I'm still early in the game--
I just triggered the snipe-off with Quiet
but I haven't completed it yet--is it just a question of recruiting/expanding my base more?

3) I just got the ability dispatch soldiers on missions.
Several of those missions involve sabotaging the enemy--cutting off their supply of helmets, for example. If those missions are a success, is the effect permanent? Or is it for a limited number of missions?

Thanks in advance for the advice--I hated the tiny island and indoor-heavy Ground Zeroes, but this is a ton of fun! Can't wait to play more.

Completed the
Paz's story-arc.

Probably the best thing so far, plot related, in the game.

I really liked it and it gave me
Silent Hill's vibes, it reminds me Lisa's death scene, even Paz theme was great.

1) I believe it is fulton -> brig -> team until your teams are full, then they go to the waiting room instead of directly to team.

2) Check your dev tree for sniper rifles. If it is there, it will tell you the team level you need to be at to get it, if it isn't, do more missions/side ops to find the blueprint for it.

3) Not permanent. Questionable as to what it affect it does have really. If you finish one helmet mission another will pop up some time later.

xxracerxx

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

1. No, the game will auto assign new members to teams, the ones they replace will go to the Waiting Room.

Cool--so if I fulton someone better-suited to my full R&D team, an E-rank loser gets kicked out and replaced by my new guy. That's awesome, makes it a lot easier to manage.

Thanks for the info!

holy shit.. that's so scummy, I'm very sorry for you.. I wish I can finish it before any spoiler
Yeah, its too bad. Found the Bloodborne subreddit to be all kinds of helpful with all the non-spoilerish FYI tips and tricks posts.

MGSV and its subtle and insane complexities seemed like the perfect candidate for more of the same, but... nope. Trolls suck.

I thought enemy went straight to the brig for a bit, maybe it is just particular recruits. Oh well.

In any case outside of keeping tabs on troublemakers and prioritizing certain skills over others you shouldn't have to think about it much and let auto do its thing.

I just got to the FOB stuff and I definitely don't fully understand it...as someone who isn't interested in messing with any of that for now and wants to just continue the main missions and side ops, does anyone have any advice for how I should best set up my FOB as to prevent the most losses?

I think I screwed something up!

The FOB invasion tutorial popped up (the one after
your base gets invaded and you unlock FOBs
), and I didn't want to do it at the time, so I quit out. Now it's not popping back up.

Is there anything I can do?

Honestly, I would just start developing it and not even worry. I don't even know anyone that has been infiltrated. I would say just focus on developing your Base Development platform first, if you haven't maxed the one at mother base, then take like the first 2 in the FOB as they are pretty cheap. Just focus on getting Base Development leveled up and with crew as soon as possible as that increases your GMP and resource processing. When you get to rank 40 or 45 I can't remember which you are processing materials every 15 minutes I believe as long as you are in game and doing stuff. That allows you to research other platforms quicker and develop more items as well.

2nd focus should be on R&D as of course they are the other largest impedement on developing stuff. The big thing is to not infiltrate others when you start building your FOB, if you don't attempt to invade you can't show up on anyones retaliation list. That means people will only find you if they happen to pick you from the random line-up which can only show like 15 or so people. I have over 320 hours in the game, I have R&D and Base dev FOB at max platforms, and the others at 2x or higher. I have never even had an attempted invasion on my FOB.

I found it tough and to my surprise, fulton didn't work at first. The skulls unit would grab hold of the van from fulton-ing.

Here's what I eventually did, after many attempts of this particular mission.

After picking up the intel from the outpost, head straight to the airfield. Make sure you're driving a jeep to the spot. Park the Jeep just outside the compound where the Van is located. Have the outside gate unlocked and ready. You'll see a platform close to the wall, which allows you to jump over(there won't be any wire fences at this short spot). Once you jump over, you'll be staring at the van. Wait for the guard to open the gate that leads you through the open generator area. Tranquilize him, take a few steps forward, cutscene with Skulls plays(skip cutscene, as it saves time for that S rank), quickly run upto the van(reflex mode gets activated when skulls spot you), fulton it real quick, now quickly open the gate which will lead you straight out of the compound to the gate which you first unlocked. Get in the jeep you'd parked right there. And start driving out of the hotzone. They'd be chasing you until you leave the hotzone. Heck one of them try to spikebust me just like Black OpsIII specialist abilities. Upon leaving the hotzone, Miller goes bananas over your legendary extraction and you're rewarded with an S. I completed this in 6minute playtime. If you get upto the spot where the van's at real quick from the start of the mission, you won't be seeing any of the BTR/Tank escort units next to it. If they do happen to be there, just fulton them as well :)

there's guys that will join up automatically and some need convincing to join

Is there any way to get more fuel resources? I'm in the post-game, S ranking stuff, doing tasks and side OPs but at this pace, I feel these resources are going to bottleneck the development of my last stages and I don't really picture myself grinding some specific missions to extract a shitload of cargo and then wait for it to be processed.

Still haven't seen a single one of these dudes. My heroism is at 230k.
230k isn't that much. The heroism will just spill at you at some point. I got 760k and get S sometimes, but have yet to see anything higher in the world.

Steal from players. Invade them and take EVERYTHING!

I've noticed some FOB invaders have vast amounts of the stuff so I assume it's easier to get by invading/defending?
What about online combat deployment missions? That stuff seems to take ages but the game only offers rank D missions right now, I also assume there's a way to make that rank higher and get better payouts?

How do you guys get so much Heroism?

I have like 80,000 I think and I beat all 50 missions and I beat like 60% of the side ops.
Invading other players, replaying missions that involve
child soldiers. They're really like hostages only in a giant mass.
, saving animals and developing shit. When you finish a category you get some nice heroism.

well, if you invade sloppy FOBs, yeah. It's actually not that easy to win an invasion if the enemy has good defense, But some fools thinkg their E-soldiers will be the only thing they lose, when I take everything they love, ruining one players day and game at a time.
