How the hell are you guys at such high Heroism? I just cracked 100K at 60+ hours, and I tranq/fulton most of the guards I come across and rarely kill anyone.

There's also one for disposing of it. Look at my achievements list and you'll see the two achievement times are separated by one minute. I had 0 interest in building the damn thing, so the disposal was done instantly.

Missions give you tons of heroism. I'm done with the game, did everything, I'm above 630k.

Also pretty sure killing/not killing isn't a factor.

78 hours.... 78 hours in the game and it lasted me 78 hours to get the rain cutscene.

I can't even start to describe how stupid that was... that is literally the first cutscene I disliked in this game because of the ridiculous amount of fanservice in it, it's the worst I've seen in the entire MGS saga.

I love the game, but that cutscene was... fuck.

Interrogate. One of them will eventually spill the beans.

This works for any containers in an area.

I've interrogated so many, but the just keep telling me where jeeps and shit are like turds.

Shipping containers respawn after a few in-game days, you might just have to Phantom Cigar on Mother Base for a while and replay the mission again.

Ahhh I always forget about the Phantom Cigar. I'll give that a shot.

By the way does anyone know a good way to farm S-rank staff, particularly for R&D class?

I'm struggling to get past level 50 on R&D with 150 staff cap. Anyone got any good strategies for this?

High Heroism and pray the RNG smiles on you.

Otherwise I think there is a post on reddit that says doing 2 or so particular missions will have S-rank volunteers show up as a mission reward.

Okay I'll be really impressed if anyone knows this.

If you put soldiers in your vehicles, then abort to the ACC, will the vehicle self-extract with the soldiers in tow?

S rank soldiers have a very good chance of spawning in story-related missions. I used a mix of two methods. I can't help you with the specificity, though.

1) Mission 12,
start the mission, skip the cutscenes, knock out both guards in the starting area and Fulton them. You can also Fulton the red containers for tons of fuel, minor metal, and precious metal. Then grab the intel to set the checkpoint, and restart the mission and repeat. Good for farming resources, with a side of possibly S-ranked soldiers.

2) Mission 16.
Go to the airport where the truck is, and activate the Skulls. Kill them however you like (D-Walker with the gatling gun works wonders), call in D-Dog to spot, and Fulton everyone in the base.

I also got a ton by running around trying to finish all the side ops.

GOAT video game dog.

or wolf?

It's kind of crazy to me that people have 100%. I mean, I get it, you have a lot of time. But ive been playing every single minute that I have had free time since the day the game has been released, and I'm only at 57% after 73 hours. The idea that people have S ranks in everything, 100% on everything, is super ridiculous to me. And I'm jealous. I really am. Like, I've finished the story and stuff. So thats all done. Except mission 45.

Just really burnt out I guess and need a break from it. I really really want to get to other games now but this is just so good that sometimes I just get frustrated I'm not there.

Haha, yes that is insane to me too.

I can hear
the Boss AI
on the R&D Base but its such a convoluted mess I can't find it. Anyone can tell me where it is?

Nvm found it. Its in the pit all the way at the top.

Do I have to finish the mission the keep all the farmed soldiers in the end? Or does quitting save them, too?

Do you play non-lethal? I find it insane too since I had an entire week to play the game and I used every waking moment to play it. I assumed it was taking me so long because I played the entire game without killing, unless I was forced to.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

I am about 40 hours deep and at Mission 19. I thought I had been playing a ton but people here really went for it.

I just wish a few on here would actually consider that some people have not finished and stop posting spoiler images, looking at you brau.

Send out dispatch missions, leave the game on while doing other things and occasionally check on it. This will give a very healthy boost to GMP, soldier count, resources and heroism. I'm at 30k heroism, but only on mission 16. But I also have hit the soldier cap, which kinda blows. Probably gonna dash through missions until I get FOBs so I don't waste any collected soldiers.

Also, I know you get one FOB and that doubles the soldier cap. But if I buy more, how many more can I buy, and does each increase the soldier cap?

On mission 16,
how do I get the skulls to stop destroying the truck I'm meant to steal? Failed this like 10 times in a row I don't have the fulton extract for vehicles yet.

Also when do I find the
transport specialist to upgrade my fulton for this purpose?

Yeah, I'm having this problem too. My R&D is at 48 w/ 100 staff cap. Guess I'll try the suggestions posted. I just want my MRS-4 rank 5!

Solve the latter and the former solves itself.

the transport specialist is one of the side prisoners in the main mission where you're supposed to rescue a dude from western Afghanistan. On mobile so I don't recall the mission name. Once you can Fulton vehicles, just Fulton the target truck right off the bat.

I'm sure this has been answered, but I don't want to search for fear of spoilers.

In as spoiler-free a fashion as possible, can someone explain how to
unlock the true ending? I've completed all Side Ops and all Missions (haven't got S ranks yet though).

The Mother Base stuff (Fultoned soldiers and containers) is saved every time you hit the checkpoint. When you're done you can go ahead and just abort the mission.

Very great. Will farm a couple of B-Rank soldiers this way then, S-Rank dont show up for me yet, seems like my heroism is still to low.

Cant wait to finally get those Level 2 Fultons for vehicles and containers.

Ahhh makes sense.

Thanks a lot! I read something similar but was struggling to find which mission it was to get that ability.

I started a new job, and with my terrible sleep patterns I really only have time to play on weekends. Even then, I dick around a single mission trying to collect everything. I've got eight or more hours total, and I'm only at 5%. Can't wait to finish the game in a year.

I mean,
if you've played EVERY side op and main op, I'm afraid that's it.

The "true ending" is the mission 46. Sorry if I disappointed you. lol
