Great, ****ing beautiful :/ And how do you assign it to the squad? I don't even know how to assign any vehicles to them even though I have a full garage filled with apcs and tanks. Only a few "story" deployments required vehicles and they were always picked automatically.
Exactly that. They are put in there automatically when needed. The Battlegear is just another vehicle. Less so since you can't even use it yourself.

Assigning vehicles is no longer optional. If the mission requires it, you can only execute it if you have the vehicles. Being able to launch a mission that requires Battle Gear means you already have it.

Another peace walker downgrade, you have to wait for a battle that needs one.

FUCK MISSION 16

Seriously, any tips to
steal the truck from those damns skulls?

Everyone has their own way of getting through that mission, I got an S and it was actually pretty easy.
You should have by now a pump shotgun that does a lot of damage, the skulls die with 6 shots of it, so you just force the cutscene, focus on one skull and shoot him fast. In my case, the fight was over in less than 2 minutes, after you kill the skulls everyone is unconscious so you are free to fulton everything you want

Fuck. I was doing a tank side-op down near the palace. I accidentally left the mission area after popping a rocket or two at the chopper, so to avoid its gun fire as I didn't fancy getting cut in half, and it just completely disappeared. I re-entered the mission area and there was a brand new fucking chopper sweeping the area. Fuck this.

Playing every saquare inche of the map, taking time to complete each mission and get most stuff possible. This is the way Iam playing MGS V ; if this is the last ride must be the longest.

I just did this! Drove me nuts, it's tough.

I placed C4 on the road north of the airport and took out the two vehicle escorts (I placed the C4 cluster about a truck's length apart and took them out really quickly). Before approaching the truck, place a few decoys surrounded by 2 or 3 C4's nearby (you'll probably need to call in a resupply for your C4). Trigger the skulls cutscene, trigger the decoys, and blow the C4. I took out two of the skulls with the C4 and took out the other two with a rocket launcher. Didn't even get hit.
Good luck!

Why do some people think Quiet is the over powered??, when you get to the later stages of the game she's not very effective at all!. When you come up against soldiers who have body armour and even just helmets, she always shots them in the helmet and not the face which instantly blows her cover as she need to take another shot to kill them and she no where near as good as d god and even d walker at tagging enemies

She just keeps pinging their helmets until they eventually come off, then she tranqs them.

furthermore (incoming chapter 1 spoiler)
she runs around your base terrorising and stabbing your men in the throat. After that cutscene I refuse to take her to another mission with me, if I were Snake I would blow her brains out right there.

D-Dog (or D-Fox now actually:p ) all the way every day.

You for real???....haven't seen that weapon, i was think if there was a sniper rifle to unlock that just pierced helmet and armour??

She just keeps pinging their helmets until they eventually come off, then she tranqs them.

Thats still ineffective, as as soon as she fires the first shot and 'pings' the helmet the solider shouts 'sniper' and everyone comes running!!

On another note, i have 1 or 2 side missions that i have completed yet they still have the blue dot next to them and highlighted as if i haven't completed them, yet they have a tick next to them!, any ideas??

Are you using the "Cover me" command, and/or sending her to scout outposts? If you were using it you'd understand why.

Quiet has three weapons: Lethal, Tranq, and SUPER RAIL GUN. It pierces helmets and armor, but you can't silence it. Still, great distraction or crowd clearer.
You unlock it when
you go into the mansion to rescue Code Talker. The schematics should just be in there

But you can repeat any mission for farming though and no others have blue dots next to them just 1 or 2 in my side mission list

All story missions yeah but only some side missions can be repeated. There are only so many bases and locations where the game can spawn side missions so you can only repeat a few at a time. Imagine if you could repeat all side missions, you would enter a base and be asked to "rescue a prisoner, recruit high level soldier, eliminate heavy infantry, eliminate tank group, steal container, etc." since only 1 mission can be active per base/region only few side missions can be repeated at one moment.

Umm. I've looked and looked but could never find blue prints for a "SUPER RAIL GUN".

Yeah, they go running after her and it doesn't count as an alert for you. And it still ultimately ends with all of the bad guys lying on the ground with green ZZZ icons over their heads. Seems pretty damn effective to me. Seems like cheating.

She is OP for the most part yeah. There are some cases where she can be forced to leave the area though, if the enemy has enough access to mortar fire.

I've been traveling a lot for work since this came out but try to play whenever I'm home and have free time. All I can say is what a game! I'm about 12% through and its just blowing my mind how good it is. All the missions and systems are so well thought out and I am continually coming across really fun surprises. So, so good.

Someone please tell me how to get past

Mission number:
31

The Metal Gear fight. I can get all the way to the end easily, then the scripted Quick Time Event where Sehelanthropus jumps right in front of you and charges up his blue laser and just zaps my face every time. What am I supposed to do at that part? Tried shooting him and weirdo Psycho Mantis kinda looking guy/girl with rockets but I just keep dying.

A single shot at Kid Mantis suffices. Doesn't even have to be a rocket, I always had my rifle ready and loaded for that phase of the fight.

Don't shoot with rockets (since you are so close that it hits you too), just shoot him with a machine gun or handgun or something. This will stun the you-know-what for some free damage.

You can freely switch weapons during that forced slow mo btw so don't panic.

Question regarding butterfly emblem
I just did 3 missions straight, got codename butterfly in all of them, but I didn't get an emblem. I'm up to mission 40.

Is it just too late?

Weird, I don't remember getting any QTEs during the fight. Just kept hitting it with DWalker's Gatling and eventually it fell.

Yup, gameplay is SO good. It's been such a long time since a game captured my interest like this, all I wanna do is keep on doing missions. Even though I might be doing the same mission again, it feels like a different thing everytime.

God, some of the stealth only missions suck a million dicks at once. All the faults that are normally moderately frustrating become infuriating after a few failed attempts- the checkpoint system being the worst of them to me. Only saving at a load point was a really stupid idea in a game that demands players to spend large amounts of time slowly infiltrating a single area.

Do these repeat missions all have to be completed in order to advance to more actual missions? Or can you skip a good portion and still advance?

Yeah, I already 100%ed the game, but I'm still playing through random missions, I'll continue playing it until Metal Gear Online & Uncharted Collection come out, I'll probably play Uncharted for a week or two & platinum it before returning to MGO again.

You don't need to do any of the repeat missions.

Just listen to yellow tapes and do side ops (and yellow side ops) to unlock more story missions.

Those missions are really easy, if you want to "cheese" them, just let Quiet clear every guard post for you, or use a silenced sniper & clear every guard post yourself. If you want to do them normally, you can infiltrate large bases without firing a single bullet if you have D-Dog with you.

Even though I love the game, it gives you so many OP options that the game is never a challenge, even on extreme or total stealth, only the subsistence missions offer a very small amount of challenge.

Has it ever been confirmed that only the yellow marked stuff matters, along with doing the occasional side op to get cutscenes to appear at Mother Base?

Gah. I got done with Chapter 1 and decided to go back and S-rank all the missions and do all the side objectives. I've got ONE left, fucking Lingua Franca. Shit is so bugged. Can't get the "extract containers" one and I can't seem to get the "listen to all interrogations" one. They just don't trigger.

Found a big indoor agriculture area on Motherbase, are there more of such areas (besides Huey and
Paz
)? I still hope to find a garage with all my extracted vehicles on display ^^

That's a lot of dicks.
