Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain |OT2| A Franchise Robbed Of Its Future

I think I did something weird on Mission 11
I decided since Quiet was a stationary target I would drop a supply box onyo her to stun her. She ended up moving but at the same time she stopped shooting so maybe I knocked her unconscious while still triggering that movement animation somehow? I was just able to run to the exit freely.

Wow people here rally hate MGS4 and PW.
I've liked them both and I don't really understand this hatred x)

It's been years since I last played MGS4, but I remember really enjoying it. IIRC the plot really was anime insanity overload, but that's what made it so goddamn entertaining.

Gonna be replaying it soon so I'm pretty excited to see if my memory has failed me completely.

Most things in this series doesn't make any damn sense lol. It's amazing that people are drawing the line here.
ITT MGS fans realize that the Metal Gear storyline has never been good and has always been a kitschey mess.

So i was on mission and Kaz called me telling that mb was under attack, so i aborted the mission and went back but i couldn't find any sign of invasion happening on the map. Also i'm offline precisely because i don't want to see this shitty mechanic in action. What's happening? Is this a bug or if i search mb i'll find this attack?

It's trying to play super stupid shit as super serious.

Parasites killing you because they recognize the vibrations of a certain language, that makes no sense at all. Thematically it's a good idea but when it actually translates to the execution its really bad

They also give some people superpowers.

Kojima, man.

I liked both of those games. The overall story in Peace Walker is silly.

MGS4 just literally pandered to the fans who wanted everything explained. Pretty much that whole story was predictable. I can see why a lot in the MGS community dislike 4.

Naomi was literally a useless character and her final scene was over the top and not needed.

Snake and Raiden both totally ignored what their characters were and became in MGS2. Snake was just some grumpy old man and Raiden was just a ninja.

ElTorro

I wanted to dominate the living room. Then I took an ESRAM in the knee.
2.) Huey yes at the R&D platform. Nothing special seems to happen though. I'm trying to find Ocelot and Miller but it looks like no.

When and where can I find him? I ran around my R&D platforms a few times, but I couldn't find him. I am currently on mission 17.

I tried doing this to the first escort vehicle to stop the whole convoy, but it just veered off the road and the others kept on going

Take the horse or walker and run straight to the airport. Stay along the fence until you see a gap in the razor wire on top of the fence. This gap happens to be behind a building and the truck you need is parked right in front. Jump the fence, stroll over to the truck. This triggers the cutscene with the skulls. Run to the truck, Fulton it out, whistle for the horse and then run like hell to the right and out the front gate. Keep running straight (ignore the skulls) until you get out of the hot zone.

This, it's totally insane but I love it all the same.

Only issue with TPP is that by the end revelations are made that are really awkward given the place TPP takes in the series timeline. But this is what happens with making sequel prequels in a series for something as convoluted as MGS =/

They also give some people superpowers.

Kojima, man.

Exactly, think of all the things in game that they're responsible for. Definitely the new nanomachines.

He's down some stairs next to a big door. You will have a button prompt to get in, if it doesn't let you in, then it's later on into the story before you can get in.

Papercuts

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
- enemies in FULL ARMOR. can't put them to sleep at all it seems or am I missing something?

- how do I unlock the "black hole" fulton?

The full armor enemies are awful, don't think there's any way to tranq them and even going lethal they are massive sponges. You need to grab them to do anything.

Exactly! You take the themes of each game seriously and yes certain parts of the story evoke emotion. But lets be real this series is silly, over the top, convoluted and some of it makes no damn sense.

Yet we come back game after game and we'll be talking about this game and the series itself for another 5 years.

MGS1 and 2 were the absolute best in the series. 3 was good but after that the fanbase wanted everything explained after MGS2. Which his how we got MGS4.

Downstairs. Really stupid, too. I already have the signs pointing to his lab on my base even though I haven't rescued him in the first place lol

At least we will now be able to see if Kojima can deliver a good story outside of the Metal Gear framework. I kinda miss the Snatcher - MGS1 era Kojima.

Dang, I didn't even think about decoys, I even had them with me lol
I never leave the ACC without. Best rhing to stop vehicles if you got no enemy aoldier on hand and pretty good to disttract and collect people for sniping.

CQC.

Is there armor-piercing ammo that can be developed? Need a better way to deal with these armored enemies (other than CQC and using buddy).

Uhh... Are sure you played a metal gear game?

Played every single game. MGS4 was damn near predictable. The only thing that may have shocked me was the ACTUAL ending. Thank god I wasn't spoiled by that image released before the game.

Other than that you knew exactly who the Patriots were if you played Portable Ops.

i just sold a ton of precious metal.

i hope this not a mistake.

I've scoured through both the game and the guide - I can't find anything that requires it to be researched or built. I think it's there solely for us to make massive GMP gains.

Depends.

Do you want to grab men from distance with the hand of jehuty? Because it needs the precious

Wrong because of the above.

I'm sorry but I'm not an open-world guy,

Has anyone seen this article?
I'm feeling Konami has gone too far with this

Kojima retweets fan-made MGS 5 pic, Konami files copyright claim

Man, I still hope that this is some extreme meta PR and TGS explodes when Kojima, Konami and Hayter walk on the stage and present the missing chapter free update that fixes and adds everything. Everything.

i just sold a ton of precious metal.

i hope this not a mistake.
I saw it in D-Walker upgrades.

Started playing a little bit yesterday. I'm enjoying it so far but I'm not particularly good at it. Patience isn't one of my strengths.

And with 55 hours in the game I finished chapter 1!!!

Now onto chapter 2!!!

BTW want to thanks some guys here that helped a lot on mission 29. Thanks guys.

Fighting Salahantropus was insane and so good. And the cutscene afterward was awesome.

A lot of these main missions are starting to bore me now.

Why am I constantly being asked to rescue some prisoner or eliminate some random commander? This is a MAIN MISSION. Give me something interesting to do.

I'm really enjoying the game, but it desperately needs more mission variety.

It's great upgraded. Does D-Dogs scouting and can auto attack too.

It's silent and invisible seemingly, until it hits a wall.
How effective is the auto attack? Other buddy you mentioned seems like he's dying a lot now that outposts have shotguns and machine guns and the other one was great unto everyone started wearing helmets....

So I didnt do most of the sideops and got to Mission 31...now some of them are missing..

Did I screw up my game? Did I miss the chance to clear all sideops and get the achievement?

Endgame stuff does need it.

Right, forgot about that. It takes peanuts to do though, compared to how much we all have.

I don't extract white containers, and I've still got over 13k PM just from reds and finding it in the field. That's 13,000,000GMP worth.

I'm pretty sure your GMP storage goes up with the extra FOBs too, as the cost of them is over four times what you can hold with only one FOB.
