Metroid Prime 4 confirmed for "late 2025", playable demo at Fan Expo Canada

Its looking like Prime 4 is going to be their big Holiday title. They'll need more to fill in the rest of the year then, IMO. The Prime 2 and 3 remasters at a minimum. Another Direct talking about 1st party titles coming would be great as well.

Where does it say "late 2025"? If you're talking about the quote about the expo, that's changing the meaning of the quote and misrepresenting. Any day beginning with tomorrow would be 'later'. 'Late' has a specific meaning, as in, like November or December. Since the initial communication late March/ early April with the Direct, Nintendo has made no specific mention of the release timing, and this doesn't contain any new information. A release day could be announced literally any day, and it could realistically be any time between September thru early December.

6 of one, half a dozen of the other?
No, definitely not. 'Later' could mean literally tomorrow. 'Late' would mean it's scheduled for late in the calendar year, which would heavily imply November or December. If you're changing the meaning of a quote you are just making things up at that point.

I'm convinced Metroid Prime 4 is a 2026 game.

If a Game rewards show was honest they would hold one in January 2026 to have the entire selection of all games that were released in 2025 so it's hard to take seriously.
They announced and released Super Mario 3D All-Stars in the span of 2 weeks in September 2020. They shadow-dropped Metroid Prime Remastered (same day as announcing) in February 2023, with a physical version following a few weeks later. The lack of a firm date now is meaningless as a point of worry or concern the game will be delayed, as they have other 2025 games that are also still unscheduled by labeled '2025'. Kirby Air Riders, etc. They are clearly holding off until their big first-party Gamescom/ or September Direct.

You can imagine, if it's taken THIS long for Metroid Prime 4 to release, Metroid Prime 5 will probably be in the 2030s...

Not really, considering it was restarted from scratch years after being announced then. caught up with new platform timing.
Could easily be by 2028,
