Miitomo |OT| A new way of COMMUnication

How can I add people directly without Twitter? Because the people I want to add does not turn up on my Miitomo suggested list. Do I do the email thing?

AFAIK they patched out the root detection within the first month. I got a new phone last week and rooted it + installed xposed, and I didn't have to use RootCloak or the xposed module to get Miitomo running.

Huh, you're right. I guess I never noticed when they removed the root detection.

Whoops, looks like someone at Nintendo pulled the wrong lever.

I need more friends in Miitomo. I only have one from this thread, who have recently added me. I don't know how to add other than adding you on Twitter, but then I can't send a friend request because they don't turn up on the list in the game.

If I tap "view more" in the add friends thing, I see a lot of Twitter people. I'm not sure how you can't see anyone unless you have a whole bunch of mutual Twitter followers who also have Miitomo but you don't want to add for some reason.

Have you selected the "update link data" option?

I'll add you right away! [edit] added.

I have a bunch of Twitter followers who are also on Miitomo, which is why I can only see 10 suggested friends.

Oh, I hadn't done that, thanks!

PS: How do I get sweets so I can see your answers too? Aren't there some mini games I can play? The game is currently giving me an error right at startup.

I'm surprised more people aren't using Candy. Don't you ever see a question and wonder what everyone's answer is?

I'll eventually come to their answer at a later date during my daily check people's answer routine anyway considering how few of my Miitomo friends use this now.

I actually started using candy recently thanks to the daily question thing.

but I guess I'll hold on to them now because TICKETS, WOO!

Meanwhile some countries in Europe can't still use this.
Man that blows. With the way the usage is tied to getting different mynintendo discounts you'd think they'd be trying to release this asap...

Anyway, looks like Candy Drop is almost upon us. I have the ingame notice for it, but the Playstore update is not on there yet so I can't actually update the app :P

Something odd happened with Miitomo this morning. Candy Drop and some new stages for the Mario-themed items from the poll showed up and it asked me to update the app. After I updated, I went into one of the Miitomo Drops and got some t-shirts with Bloopers and Goombas, but then it suddenly kicked me out and all the new stages and Candy Drop vanished. I still have the t-shirts in my inventory but I can't put them on.

That reminds me, looks like Boo won the twitter poll

You've all failed me by not voting for Blooper (aka the 🐐), but I will allow it. Dat hot pink.

I guess this means each design will have multiple colours available tho

It wasn't supposed to go live yet. They even added a notification about that.

The candy drop update is live on iOS, not as good as I was expecting, 5 pieces of candy per drop, there's three ticket stubs and one ticket, getting ten stubs gives you one ticket, and you can only win three tickets per day.

So 50 Candy = 1 Game Ticket if you're a little unlucky? Ouch.
Also they still didn't remove completed tasks from the Missions tab -_-

Are you kidding me? Ugh, Nintendo.

I deleted it today. Feels good to be rid of that buggy, useless, market research trojan.

Except that it serves a purpose (at least for me) of collecting Platinum coins to use on actual games and this benefit will only get better once NX drops.

Looks like this update included Brazilian Portuguese support, and now it's possible to download Miitomo on Brazil's Google Play too.

I'll try it in a few hours from now.

I'm very disappointed with the Candy Drop. I tried it just now and I find it's basically impossible to get anything other than 1 stub. There's no way I can find to properly aim or guide it to a certain spot and the spots shuffle after every drop.

I'm very sad right now. I was looking forward to this so much. But basically my 250 candy built up from playing since launch (I used it regularly for answers too) will just convert into a measly 5 tickets.

So i'd like to curate my Miitimo friends list so I only have active users, what's the best way to tell who's been active recently and who hasn't?

Still no way to mass delete?

I really doubt Nintendo is that interested in your answer to "Whats your number one tip to be stylish?"

Besides, if it ever came out that a family facing company like Nintendo was hardcore data mining user data in an even remotely exploitative way, they'd be facing tons of hellfire from consumers and consumer organizations in the US.

Its easier to see it as sinister than it is to accept they tried something different and it just didnt resonate with people.

For me, the best way is to look at the dates of their answers. If they haven't answered anything in 2 months, i delete them, even if they're still actively getting comments. Like I said before, I wish there was a way to sort by "Recent Answers" to make that easier.

Well, assuming a random distribution, you should be able to get the ticket 25% of the time anyways. So in theory for every 5 candies people will get 0.325 tickets, or about 1 ticket every 3 plays. That's not too bad.

Then I have the worst luck because I got 1 ticket (and 2/10 stubs) after 12 plays. I then closed the app so I could cry. I would love to get a ticket every 3 plays. That's just 15 candy for a ticket vs my current rate that is going at 50 candy per ticket.
