A group that is implacably opposed to anything Trump does on principle
You mean violating the rules of the Constitution several times, manipulating market with his decisions to get richer than ever and suing the very executive branch he's in charge of for millions ? (And also everybody who doesn't depict him as wonderful)

It wasn't like that during his first term.

EDIT: Sorry, too political, I'll abstain from posting here again

Maybe, but would you not agree there is a distinct "media class" that has an extremely well defined self-identity and political beliefs ?
A group that is implacably opposed to anything Trump does on principle, and even more deplorably in my view turns a blind eye to or handwaves off despicable behaviour for those whom it considers allies ?

Yes. This was the case during the Obama and Biden admin too. You have right and left wing media. Majority is left wing, but both sides exist. Only ignorant people would claim otherwise.

His recent rants and Truth just read like an unhinged dictator. There's really no other way to spin that. Then to immediately follow it up with once again touting how amazing he is and his approval ratings? I think you'd have to be a complete moron to not at least acknowledge the guy is a sociopath.

Russia was also a signatory. They wouldn't have signed because the only country capable of violating that agreement was them.

This is what happens when you negotiate with pure optimism instead of worse case scenario.

Russia was always braking any signed agreements. That's why any peace negotiations with them are idiotic.

Russia is not a developed country.

Also the goal of this war isn't stable Iran but civil war in iran where Iran will decompose into warrying states ala Syria as there are for example huge amount of kurds living there. Secondly once Iran will decompose automatically Israel can go for their "greater israel" campaign conquering parts of neighbours and add them to israel.

Like always it is never about people.
Don't see anything wrong here. Why not?

Uhh… 👀

Trump briefed that Iran's new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei is probably gay — and president has priceless reaction

"The Power Behind the Robes" is a diabolical nickname for a terrorist leader who turns out to be gay.

I observe actions, and pay little attention to the smoke and mirrors. Broad strokes, his foreign policy makes sense to me because the world order has been shifting away from the West for quite awhile now.

In a multi-polar world, which essentially is back to how the world was before the end of WW2, this is how the game is played. And I'm sorry, but if you don't recognize that, you are just deluding yourself in my view.

If you are a sane, reasonable, person the prospect of an totalitarian theocracy like the Iranian regime becoming a nuclear power should freeze the blood in your veins. You need to accept the fact that in some cultures human life simply isn't that precious - doubly so if it can be balanced against the infinite gains of divine favour.

You cannot bargain or negotiate against that.

Not sure the point of replying if you're not going to address the points.

Read this. Particularly where he flips from treason accusations to touting himself (again). Does it read like the insane ramblings of a sociopath? Yes or no?

Smoke and mirrors.

There is no such thing as truthful social media. Its *ALL* just propagandistic nonsense to grab the attention of the feeble-minded.

If making mad posts is sociopathy, what do you call killing tens of thousands of your own people like IRGC forces did when putting down the dissent in January of this year ? 22,000 - 32,000 dead in days depending your source. A death rate that would outstrip the death toll of the "genocide" in Gaza in a fraction of the time.

That's what I mean by sorting the signal from the noise.

Looks like someone keeping up his kayfabe gimmick that signs off every post/truth/tweet/whatever with "Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

I'll put you down for a "Sure, but I love sociopaths."

The whataboutism isn't necessary.

You call citing the deaths of thousands "whataboutism" ?

Wow.

Appears you have some reading comprehension issue.

I'm referring to his post(s). It's only ever been about that. You keep goalpost moving and doing whataboutism to avoid acknowledging the only topic of discussion. If you want to talk about something else, there's no reason to quote me.

Why are you so obsessed with Trump's social media posts in a thread about the situation in Iran ?
I'm the one who's staying on topic and talking about what actually matters.

My post quoting you opened with me saying I agree with the Broad strokes of the Trump Administration's foreign policy. YOU are the one dealing in whataboutism and distraction by fixating on one Trump's hyperbolic posts on his vanity social media platform.

A point I underscored by saying I do not care about the nonsense spouted in the neverland of social media, what I care about are para/military actions with actual body counts, because I'm not some idiot child who thinks "words are violence".

Get a grip. You are arguing with the wrong guy.

The post is around the situation in Iran. The post wouldn't exist if not for the war in Iran. It's applicable.

If you have an issue with that, cool, but it's moronic to quote me and bring up unrelated things I made no mention of. Citing a post then asking simply a yes or no question on if it reads like a sociopath. You can choose to ignore it, but nope. You instead quote it, don't answer the question then goalpost move and whataboutism to something else.

There is no argument except the one you're having with me over things I never said. It's weird.

The Iranian regime has no more powerful and consequential ally right now than America's mainstream media. It represents the only path to 'victory' for the regime. For the media, it is simply a matter of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'.

President Trump's assessment of their loyalties is correct, though being able to do anything about it (beyond shitting on them at every opportunity, which he has been doing to great effect for ten years) is another matter.

"Quiet Piggy" is still the best response to media harassment ever
