:)
Spill the beans dude

Please

For the love of god

4-player splitscreen + 1 on the Gamepad. Everybody has their own profile and character.

I will fucking die if they do this.

PLEASE

So the game will likely be 3DS graphics but upscaled to 7200p?

That, and what I imagine will be better AA and texture filtering, in addition to a HUD optimized for HD display.

It sure isn't going to be vying for the title of the best-looking Wii U game, but it's console Monster Hunter, it's online, and I need it inside of me.

I always told myself that if they brought the 3DS game over, I'd give MH a try. I'll be glad to have to follow through on that.

Honestly, this should do pretty solidly in Japan with the crossplay and all.

Probably not going to do MH Tri numbers but they're off to a nice start locking down the core userbase in Japan. Need a Tales game and SE to at least announce ports of their new PS3/360 stuff.

Pretty sure it's totally possible to play 3DS x MH3GHD Online together. 3DS version simply connects to the Wii U lobby and all systems go from there, right?

If Nintendo had something in place like Ad-hoc Party on the PS3, then it should be technically possible. I guess the ball would be in Nintendo's court to have something like that.

How awesome is 8-4? So awesome.

Can't wait for the glorious HD return of guild girl.

I believe in this now. I believed in MH3G because of Oichi and he's dropping hints again.

ONLINE FOR ALL

I'm fine with that. It's MH so that's enough to satisfy me as well. Hopefully, Capcom will consider putting MH 5 on Wii U as well, but this game's sales will be a bit tricky since 1.4 million copies of the game was sold on the 3DS in Japan. How many are going to want to double dip especially when they're going to need to buy a new home console for it? I fear overseas owners may not support it that much just because of the graphics.

Dammit Capcom, a HD port of a 3DS port of a Wii port isn't exactly what what I had in mind for a HD MH game, especially after Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD.

Great way to get those ps2 assets working on a console two gens after the ps2.

I highly doubt its possible.

THERE WILL BE ONLINE PLAY FOR WII U GUYS (it's written on the JP site), AS FOR 3DS HIGHLY LIKELY NO.

Nintendo Network is cross-platform, so of course it's possible.

And considering Oichi's teasing, well... I wouldn't bet against it.

I don't get it; how is that different from a HD port of a PSP game based on downgraded assets of a Wii game?

Man, now I'm torn between getting it on 3DS or WiiU. Maybe some incentive/bundle for double-dippers, pretty please Capcpom/Nintendo (whoever publishes)?

Capcom is the publisher, but I don't doubt for a second that Nintendo had a lot to do with getting the HD version made.

Yeah they will help them in some way, probably marketing. Just odd to bring them out close to each other. You have to be a pretty big fan to get both.

Why the need for the Pro controller when you can have the gamepad? Weird bundle.

Same reason they invented a new fricking controller for Tri: it's what hardcore players are most familiar with.

Although, the GamePad will probably be really handy for online if it can be used as a keyboard.

Does it have the same splitscreen local co-op as MH3 does? Of course, with the Wii U's setup, you could do honest-to-god actual co-op, provided they thought of doing that.
It will not be a direct port if there is splitscreen co-op. Since they already added in chat system and reworked the HUD so I guess it's possible?

I don't want any meltdowns when MH3GU is just a port of MH3G, you guys.
What were you expecting, MonHun5 or Frontier 2 for a home console game to not be a port of another?

It's still the first sign of localization life for the series in ages and could bode well for its future as well.
