So, since the game has been out for a while now, are there any good resources on charm table drop rates or best ancient shard farm routes?
Been doing G Heavens Mount for a God's Isle, but no luck so far :(

If you have many Pure Frenzy Shards and the shards below it (forgot its name), you could use charm melding.

I have, no joke, 14 God's Isles in my inventory.

I still technically need the Rustshard for GS as I turned the one I had into the Daora sword.

Between the level 2 and level 1 shots, 3 status effects seems around right on average. Without any easy way to farm level 2 status shot combines, it'll be difficult to get more than that on a regular basis.

Dann, totally forgot that I can't buy lv2 status shots...

Eeehh, guess I'll stick to my absolute bowgun then. :D

If you're really desperate, the Kettleblower Deluxe is still a thing. It's not as fast with status effects as the God's Arch, but rapid-fire level 1 shots can get the job done in a pinch.

I'm not that desperate, and the Archipelago looks way cooler. ;)

Genprey Fang is farmable via Wycoon IIRC.

Hm, right. I think only the fish for sleep 2 might be tedious to get.

God's Archipelago not quite off the table yet...

I"m doing some hunting now, trying to clear Black Gravios, if anyone can help. I did a few Tidal snakes to build a water axe, hopefully it helps.

Room ID is XXXXXXXXXXXX

EDIT*not sure if anyone from GAF was in the room, but I finally beat it. Thanks if any of you helped!

I've finished all the solo quests that the lady will give me. I still have a silver check for the level 10 quests. No one is handing out quests. Any idea what I'm missing?

Gotta clear the online quests as well. Also go to the various towns and talk to everyone. I missed parts of the 6* story by not doing that after clearing out some online missions.

How far are you on the Gathering Hall side of things? A big chunk of the 10 star Caravan quests are G rank monsters that require you to be G rank over in the Gathering Hall before they'll unlock.

Helping a friend level up G Rank through randoms:

Could use one more.

EDIT: Wow that was fast.

EDIT2: One slot open again

I am G1. Are you saying the rest won't unlock until I hit G2 and 3? I'm cool with that.

For some of them like Chaotic Gore, yes.

There's also the "Bad Hair Day" quest chain triggered by talking to the Afro Felyne sometimes seen rummaging around in your house's item box. That's an easy one to miss because he's only in your house once in awhile and doesn't stick around for long.

THAT'S WHY I DON'T HAVE THOSE QUESTS.

Tonight I'd like some help with the Arena if anyone out there is actually good at it. Mainly for the Felyne Hairband X materials, but also for peace of mind.

Does anyone have good Guild Quests to share?
I'm looking for Lv. ~120 Yian Garuga or Teostra preferably with close spawn points, Bow/Bowgun and no Arms bias. (I have enough arms for now lol)

Who wants to fight the same few G rank monsters over and over with me to get some rare parts?

I have that Teostra but sadly with arm bias. Still want it?

Just re-bought this game again, and it feels good to be back. But there's not as much activity as before I see? Are you guys still playing with each other online and helping each other out?

I haven't been paying attention to how many randoms are still online, but GAF folks are still around to help out with anything - schedules permitting. But the thread's slowed down because a lot of people have already accumulated the end-est of endgame gear and don't need much help themselves anymore.

I have been playing a lot again lately (yay, procrastination), and there are still plenty of people playing the game online. Not as many as there used to be of course but more than enough to fill rooms rather quickly. Especially Lv. 126+ guild quests.

And as tuffy has said, most of us here on GAF are well beyond the progression part and it's farming for end game gear now, or just fooling around.

Speaking of which, I'm currently leveling up my Teostra guild quest with GS/LS bias, but doing this with randoms is rather boring, so I might open a room later if anyone here is interested.

I'm still fairly new to G rank so I'd totally be down for that.

So what do you guys think about multi skills like Arcana and Clandestine? Looks like i'm on a good table right now, been getting some sweet Arcana talismans today but my Absolute Bowgun set (which I basically main at the moment) seems sufficient with Fleet Feet, Bonus Shot, Load Up and Elemental Atk Up.
I guess those skills are more useful for lazy multi purpose sets?

Honed Blade is a must for Blademaster sets for me of course.

So I guess they are good to supplement a set, but a Relic only set seems not that useful to me.

Fleet Feet and Ruthlessness are the only combo skills I really like for my bowgun sets. Clandestine is basically two "meh" skills along with Load Up, Silver Bullet is too difficult to bring in for what it offers, and Acrobat is only the +1 versions of its skills.

Being able to bring those two skills in from armor sets alone is another reason I haven't done much relic armor farming.

Yeah, Fleet Feet is a must for me as well. But Weakness Exploit doesn't work on elemental shots iirc so it's only on my HBG set.

With all the RNG and time investement involved I find it disappointing that relic equipment and especially armor seems only slightly better/useful than regular stuff.

But I want that good Netherblade LS so bad...

Just got MH4 any tips going to crack it open after I play ffxiv

if you haven't played monhun before, skill are activated at certain threshholds of points awarded via armor and gems. Generally 10, and then sometimes higher levels at 15/20/25/30. If you have negative skills, they can reach thresholds opposite the positive ones to give you inhibiting abilities.

Third time trying to get into this game, I hope it sticks x) Not an easy game to pick after leaving it for a few months.

I'm thinking about picking up a circle pad pro for this game too. I think I'll get a better feel for the controls instead of using this small snub on the right (C stick?).

L targeting isn't enough?

You mean the touch screen button that targets the monster? Wasn't a big fan of that, I'd rather have full control over the camera if possible.

You can lock onto large Monsters and press L to focus the camera on them pretty much how it worked in Zelda OoT. I barely use the camera control on the n3ds tbh, but it's nice to have of course.

Edit: misread, sorry. Yeah that's what he meant

After playing for a while I use both the L targeting and the onscreen D-pad. Surprised myself with how used to that thing I got.
