that kyrie three point game winner though. coldest shot I've seen in recent memory.

Undoubtedly, he was an essential part of the team and stepped up in a big way. He handled the ball very well and was consistently getting shots and making them.

Lebron has been playing in the NBA since he was 18 years old. Constantly having deep playoff runs and NEVER missing games.

That dude has logged an awful lot of minutes, what we just saw these past two weeks, we may never see again. He's an insane physical specimen, but still human. Don't get me wrong, he can be a really good player for a long time, because he is so damn smart and has great vision and court awareness, but putting a team on his back like he just did? I'm not sure how many of those he has left.

If he wants to go chill with Melo, Wade, and Paul on some lucky team for a few years, I say go for it.

I don't really disagree with you, but I still wonder.

Lebron is just a freak. He has NEVER been seriously injured in his career. NEVER. He has had a couple bouts of cramps and I think he lost 2 weeks to a hamstring strain or whatever but that's it. He's played so many minutes and so many games and has lived and breathed basketball his entire life and, so far, his body has held up in pristine condition. Not that age isn't a factor or won't eventually catch up with him, cause it will, but I don't think it's going to be because of all the minutes and games he's played. It'll just be because he's getting old.

LeBron has been pacing himself in the regular season as of late. He played like the fewest minutes per game this season in his career. And he's been taking care of his body well. While the wear and tear will definitely take toll on him, I don't see it taking effect in about 2-3 years.

If he ever goes to another NBA finals next year, that would be ridiculous but not surprising.

Even with how badly Curry choked the entire series and the entire game 7, he could have undone a lot of it by simply making a wide open 3 in the final minutes. He not only missed it, he bricked it and missed the rim. Then his opponent at his position made a 3 over him. He didn't just lose the series, he lost the first 3-1 series lead in Finsls history. He not only lost as unanimous MVP, he lost to his biggest rival in the league who won unanimous Finals MVP.

This was just about the worst way for this player and team to lose. An epic choke job.

The only thing that matters in my mind is that Kyrie ate Curry up even when GS was trying to hide him. Have to give him credit because he lit him up.

Cavs should trade Love for Jae Crowder. He would fit the team perfectly and provide two way play at a key position. Celtics would gain shooting at the 4 and then pick up Jaylen Brown to replace Jae.

Wasn't a kick out X pass to an open 3 shot too

It was a dribble X cross X elevate in Currys face 3
Damnnnnnnnnn

KD needs a vet like JR that can hit open 3's , Roberson is garbage offensively and if he wasn't shook they'd be in the finals

Melo ain't winning shit anytime soon
CP3 either considering he has to go through KD or the warriors

This was a fun match up from a story standpoint but

I don't want to see this match up again. Honestly hope OKC stops thrm this time because I don't want to hear the media talk about a warriors v cavs final for 3 years going

That shit would get me away from the sport

I still can't believe it. I'm almost 37, and I'm moving out west at the beginning of next year. Feels so good to get a championship in Cleveland while I'm still in the area. Fuck the curse, this house is clean!

That Kyrie shot, damn, like the Ray Allen 3 was basically a lifetime of drills + pure instinct. Ray didn't have time to think, it was pure reaction. Kyrie is 24 years old and he consciously decided to take the biggest shot in Cleveland sports history with one of the greatest players in the history of the league sharing the floor with him. Absolutely no fear in the moment

i'm eating crow. The biggest thing that shocked me was how Kyrie stepped up offensively. I figured his D would be so bad it woudl limit what he could do on offense. Having someone that could help LeBron shoulder the offensive load was huge for Cleveland. Conversely, I did not expect Steph to be exposed and played so bad on defense by Cleveland. Lue's gameplan to attack him for the most part took him off his game and, in part, took Golden St. off their game.

Told you that additional offense will play big for Cleveland :p

On the other hand, Curry and Klay were subpar in this series given their offensive prowess from the regular season and the playoffs. They showed glimpses, but can't sustain them. Not to mention Barnes getting open looks was the best defensive decision the Cavs have done in the final 3 games.

ya'll saw what happened to curry and the warriors when they got asterisk talk after their championship last season. the chip on their shoulders after this loss is going to be outrageous.

82-0 incoming. hide your kids, hide your wife.

I cosign the request to reopen the supernova thread. Stephen's two year lucky shooting streak should be celebrated.

Oh, I think he will be. Who else would from the East?

And don't get me wrong, the dude is still the best in the league for a few more years. But will he ever have the drive (or the need) to put a team on his back like that again? I'm not sure.

They lost in the finals is what they did. 82-0 and no championship? They're really looking to top this season.

Kyrie, Lebron, and a bunch of 3 and D players is all you need. Those two are absolutely elite with the ball in their hands.

The Warriors are a bunch of losers now, I'd be shocked if they don't go 0-82.

They really should look to move Love. Even if they don't get a star in return, just the roster/cap flexibility could be helpful. I'd say they should ditch Shump but dude has like zero value.

While the drive won't be the same as the last few years, all he needs really is to have teammates he can constantly depend on to share the bulk of the load in different areas to help him cruise in the regular season and just go up another gear when playoffs commence. If he stays in Cleveland, Kyrie is there for the scoring and Love would still be a pretty good player in the regular season. But if he moves elsewhere, I'm sure he won't go to a team with no help at all.

pretty much a lock now

warriors pitch will be 1-2 years at max value or if they win a title they will sign him long term
their pitch might work since i'm sure Dwight is thirsty for a ring now

Dwight is on the wrong side of 30 with a bad back and a skillset based almost entirely on his eroding athleticism. I think he's thirsty for a full max contract, and I think Mark Cuban is going to give it to him.

I'm saying man, Jae for Love would be good for both sides. Jae defends and hits the open 3, he would be a strong player to put at the 3. Ainge seems crazy high on Brown so I think this is an actual possibility.

It will be interesting to see if the Warriors have the fortitude to do what the Spurs did after blowing the Finals to the Heat a couple years ago. Hard to see it happening for a team that couldn't lock it up when they had 3-1.

How does sports always do this fairly tale shit? You can't end a legendary curse without some crazy shit happening. LeBron had to leave and break their hearts just so he could come back and win it for them.

-While playing against a 73-9 team
-And being the first team to come back from a 3-1 deficit
-Winning TWO road games

Feels like the Red Sox. The only way that curse was ending is to come back from 3-0 down to the motherfucking Yankees.

Ainge got you covered

Shump x Love for #3 pick, Bradley to lock up Steph x point guards and Sully or Olynk
Ainge would risk it all to get Love

you think so? I feel like he brings so much value against teams with traditional bigs (that is, not 3-point shooting PF's and C's that are as fast as guards). With a ring on his finger, maybe he settles in even more and really finds the consistency we expected of him when he was picked up.

Or do you feel that is unlikely?

LeBron to the Knicks would be a fantastic look for the league. He promised Cleveland A championship...never said he would stick around. If he brought a chip to 3 different cities/teams...even I would have to give it up.

I still don't believe it. I don't want to go to bed and find out about tomorrow that the Cavs lost. I go over my original prediction of the Cavs winning the series and Draymond getting suspended to allow the Cavs to win on the road, but I never imagined that they would win a game 7 on the road so I pick them to win in 6.

I remember feeling the series was over after game 4, cause no way they win game 7 on the road. Then Draymond Got Suspended, but LeBron and Irving started to play at an incredible level, but I knew that game 7 on the road was going to be so hard to win. Those are the types of things that aren't supposed to happen, the Warriors aren't supposed to lose 3 games in a row and 2 at home, ridiculous, but them I hoped, just win it for the land. I'm watching the games with friends and even when you know there's nothing you can do as a fan to affect the outcome, you avoid "jinxing" your team any way possible, and you believe, and the game starts.

Then the pressure, even though you don't play you tense up, you feel every basket, foul, turnovers, 2 teams trading punches and runs until it gets to halt for what it feels like forever, 89-89, that block, that shot, that crazy Irving almost lose the ball out of bounds, you have more hope, but more fear that can be erased by a 3, these are the dubs after all, they missed, that fall, more fear, that missed FT, but hope kicks in "we only need 1" that stop, then hopes becomes reality and Cleveland becomes a champion.

Then you feel the Joy of Victory, you see the tears on these grown men full of tattoos and though attitudes. Like magic. Sports give us hope, Joy, fear, dread, they humanize us and peel away at the fictions. This was great, I'll appreciate these moments when hope turned real at the hands of passion and emotions that remind us how living things can surprise us and make the unlikely a reality.

I do want to congratulate the Dubs fans and their players, you are a great team, Curry, Klay, Dray are a great Core and you have the ingredients to win it all again. Enjoy them cause they'll give great moments in the future.

And those that believe, those that lowkey believed even if you felt it was in accordance to all rationale over, but supported you team regardless, this was a special thing to see for all of us.

Go Cavs. 2016 NBA Champions.
