Picked up a new (old) coffee table off craigslist last night. I'd been looking for something to go with the rest of the living room better, and this one looked badass and was only $35. It had been painted with some "faux wood" stuff, so I spent the day stripping it back down to the original formica top and polishing it some, here is the end result.
The formica veneer under the paint was still in awesome condition for a table from 1958 (dated on the bottom), but it doesn't match our other stuff too well so i'm probaly going to redo the veneer in the future. I still have to make new leg caps for it too since the originals are missing.

got a new gaming laptop, Asus N51V
It runs games about 4x faster than my desktop.... :O <-- that's me playing UT3
plus it looks pretty glossy and sexay

15.6" HD WXGA/G
4GB Memory
320GB Hard Drive 7800rpm
Geforce GT130M
HDMI, bluetooth, esata and S/PDIF out
in addition to the pictured The Witcher I also picked up the aformentioned UT3, Peggle Dual Shot and GTA Chinatown

Even still, the picture is jut gorgeous. It too me YEARS to find a set to fit my needs, which were no game lag, the best blacks, good geometry, and THE ABILITY TO FUCKING PLAY DUCKHUNT. This is a Sony KD-34XBR970 34, and it is the kind of thing that if ever wonky, I would pay to have fixed instead of replacing it. Everything from NES, to Wii, to my 360 looks amazing.
Best fucking HD set I could have asked for.
AND I GOT IT FOR ONLY 200 FUCKING DOLLARS WITH EXTENDED WARRANTY!

It does sound pretty perfect. The CRT that I had before was 27". My LCD is a 32" Sanyo, and I want one that's a little bigger. 34" sounds perfect to me. Great size. Not too big, not too small. Guess I gotta keep looking for deals...

Well, I had no room in the Escort, so I had to use my Mom's buick for transport. Me, my friend, my pops, and the seller and his dad quickly shoved it in. Then me and my pops took it out solo. It is still on the garage floor for now, but when the room's done, I am getting a dolly and carefully rolling it in and afterwards degauss it yet again if necessary due to the move.Jaroof said:

Sony STR-DG820 Amp for my PS3 & 360 from eBay. Last pickup for a while, this thing has more sockets on the back than my pc! Great replacement for my old amp which was some ancient surround sound kit by JVC. Console/PC games. Banjo was $9 at Target. I picked two up and traded the second one (along with two other things I had) at Gamestop and got Fight Night straight-up. Target also had Prince of Persia for $15. I wanted the PC version though so I went and exchanged it at Wal*Mart. They didn't have PoP for PC so I went with Prototype.
A bunch of DS games picked up on the cheap recently. Most were from the Gamestop buy 2/get 1 used game sale.
The Sparklehorse/Danger Mouse/David Lynch collaboration Dark Night of the Soul photobook/CD-R.
