He is a joke since his post here in GAF as Odiun.Surely a guy that never had a devkit or shipped a game in his entire life knows what he's talking about, right? I guess that's why he still has an audience.

What? Someone stole a PS5 and put it in a x-rays machine?Wait a minute, hold up.
Why the fan set up like this?
Did someone leak the PS5 internal and we never notice?
eh not really. There's a big ass heatsink over it.
Great video, but I'm sorry, but what is he on about? The Japanese youtubers weren't even allowed to touch the console, watch their videos. I am sure the system is quiet, but I'm interested in how they would know if the console was cool during operation?
(I'm confident that the system isn't going to overheat, nor will the XsX)
YES! I can see the SSD chips there (8 in total), as well as the expansion 'port'. The RAM modules are probably on the other side of the board and not visible. That other huge chip there is probably the I/O complex or something else entirely. That's a big ass chip.
Also, you can see the PSU down there.

fud does not asking for proof.Don't you think Sony would have thought about that?
Also where's your proof?
I didn't believe it at first, cause the fan was too small, but that other pic with the cover off showing the fan in the same spot, made me think this maybe real. Maybe it was x-rayed?YES! Yeah, i'll take the words of engineer too. They were warned about issues before launch :
The truth about the Xbox 360
A hurried launch, a desire to win the console war and design compromises lay behind the 'red ring of death' debacle that cost Microsoft $1.15bnwww.theguardian.com
It's definetely not the same board, I've checked. Some similar stuff but absolutely not the same.
This was with it when I found it.
Added the original just in case anyone can track it's origin.

Believe it or not, I found it on Blueisviolet timeline back in August.
He was replying to someone that twitted them.
He was down playing the cooling, so I didn't pay it any mind, but I still saved it.
What? Someone stole a PS5 and put it in a x-rays machine?
Yeah, but there a couple of things not ligning up.
1) APU feels quite small
2) There is something between the Ethernet port and the USBAs.
3) Spaces are not coherent
4) The M.2 port seems way too low
But the MB does not look like the one from anyh PS4/Pro revision. Maybe the CPU area is from the Pro, but the rest is NOT from there.
It has been altered but the motherboard model numbers are there (it seems to have both the original PS4 Pro motherboard model number and the later revision one too!?). It is a cool interpretation though and might be pretty accurate.
Maybe the OP can clarify?
I think you mean 500mb/s..That is around 500GB/s.
I’m missing something? Where is the fast transfer?
Ohhh yeap... sorry.I think you mean 500mb/s..
I think you mean 500mb/s..
I'm hoping it isn't real, cause the cooling look boring. So several of the components in this X-ray look like from the PS4. I think given this inlcuded a clear sketch drawing as well, this is a fake photoshopped guess at whats inside the PS5 and how its built. Good guesses. But thats not a legit x-ray of the PS5.
For starters the fan is too small from what we saw earlier and not as centrally located as in the leaked pic. We can see the fan in the PS5 is larger than the PS4 Pro fan, which is shown here in the x-ray. The PS4 Pro fan is roughly 90 cm, while the PS5 fan looks almost 130-140mm diameter.
The die is clearly from a PS4 Pro, etc. There's an audio optical port from the PS4 Pro on the ports, etc.
Clearly fan made guess, but a damn good one.
I think its safe to assume the PS5 inside is roughly this.
I turned my wife into a gamer. Now I buy two copies of every game and two of each gaming system. Hobby is significantly more expensive. Doesn’t hurt she was the former Miss Scandinavia and may have appeared in a certain men’s magazine...I had serious game 20 years ago...

agreed, look at the back of the PS5. Its all vented and shaped for airflow.Makes sense. Also, I have read that the air is vented out through the back, and not at the bottom. And it makes sense: if you keep the PS5 in a vertical position, there would be no place to exaust the air.
I doubt the cooling is overly fancy. It'll be a big custom fan, lots of vents, and probably a big custom heatsink for the die, ram and ssd, plus whatever heatsink they setup for the expansion bay.I'm hoping it isn't real, cause the cooling look boring.
Here's what I don't like about this video. It appears that MS told these youtubers to target specific titles to demo. I don't like this at all. If you are pushing BC hard then let these early users play what they want. They all test the same games.
Like your brain trying to put those letters into wordsthis SSD is going to over heat
Epic Rendering Engineer saying 4K is a waste of resources. What does Xbox use for upscaling?
Wait a minute, hold up.

Where did you find it? Or did you do it yourself? This was with it when I found it.

PS5 seems to be made to push the air from front/top to out the back. Would work fine in either orientation. The venting on the front and back seems to be setup for air intake/outtake flow circulation. And to keep the console as open and vented as possible.Makes sense. He's so right.
I've reconsidered my Series S purchase. Next gen games will be expensive but i'll keep myself happy with my huge PS4 backlog on my PS5.today has cut you deep my friend, i be you feel like your legs have been taken from beneath you.
The good news is Sony is making more consoles, you can still order one, its not to late.
I've just made this comparison, the ports dont allign. Maybe is a pre-production model?

Why would they shift all the ports around? Surely a more likely explanation for the discrepancy is that it isn’t real?

The size of the PS5 hasn't been a secret. Everyone pretending that the PS5 will be smaller than this is in for a rude awakening.

Those hot silent farts are killers. So what you’re saying is that air comes out of its backside?
The Ps5 is silent but violent?
WTF is happening here? Took a break to watch some Netflix, and coolness happened. This is what I come to this thread for. I have a hard time believing it, eventhough it's about the best piece of tech speculation I've seen in here. This was with it when I found it.

from where
The more I look at it, the more I wanna see the teardown. The more you look at it the more that X-Ray PS5 is just a composite of multiple revisions of PS4 and Pro.
Who was it that said the xbox SSD was faster than the PS5 because it had 2.4 GB/s SUSTAINED speed while the PS5 only reached 5.5 GB/s as the peak? And it's in line with the numbers they showed around "quick" resume, loading games, etc. Seems like the SSDs 2.4GBs are a load of nothing

Would be curious, RDNA 3 is also heavily rumoured to have a chiplet design. The more I look at it, the more I wanna see the teardown.
Still hoping for a APU based chiplet design. Something never done before.
