Wait a minute, hold up.
Why the fan set up like this?

Did someone leak the PS5 internal and we never notice?
What? Someone stole a PS5 and put it in a x-rays machine?

Great video, but I'm sorry, but what is he on about? The Japanese youtubers weren't even allowed to touch the console, watch their videos. I am sure the system is quiet, but I'm interested in how they would know if the console was cool during operation?

(I'm confident that the system isn't going to overheat, nor will the XsX)

According the fan noise, I guess. Plus if it was really 30C degrees as reported, that's extremely hot and beyond what the majority of gamers would have for a room temperature (20-25C).

YES! I can see the SSD chips there (8 in total), as well as the expansion 'port'. The RAM modules are probably on the other side of the board and not visible. That other huge chip there is probably the I/O complex or something else entirely. That's a big ass chip.

Also, you can see the PSU down there.

Yeah, but there a couple of things not ligning up.

1) APU feels quite small
2) There is something between the Ethernet port and the USBAs.
3) Spaces are not coherent
4) The M.2 port seems way too low

But the MB does not look like the one from anyh PS4/Pro revision. Maybe the CPU area is from the Pro, but the rest is NOT from there.

I didn't believe it at first, cause the fan was too small, but that other pic with the cover off showing the fan in the same spot, made me think this maybe real. Maybe it was x-rayed?

Yeah, i'll take the words of engineer too. They were warned about issues before launch :

Production was a shit show, still not evidence that the units that were making it off the line in working order were going to break in 6 -9 months. The production problems were just increasing production costs per unit, they weren't directly effecting consumers (the broken units weren't being packaged). You are taking the known end result and using that to determine that the outcome was known during early production, when realistically the units that were making it off the line in working order were expected to function (regardless of how low production yields were). Everything you mention here is mentioned in the book in detail, this doesn't change the timeline regarding RRoD.

Believe it or not, I found it on Blueisviolet timeline back in August.
He was replying to someone that twitted them.
He was down playing the cooling, so I didn't pay it any mind, but I still saved it.

It has been altered but the motherboard model numbers are there (it seems to have both the original PS4 Pro motherboard model number and the later revision one too!?). It is a cool interpretation though and might be pretty accurate.

Maybe the OP can clarify?

So several of the components in this X-ray look like from the PS4. I think given this inlcuded a clear sketch drawing as well, this is a fake photoshopped guess at whats inside the PS5 and how its built. Good guesses. But thats not a legit x-ray of the PS5.

For starters the fan is too small from what we saw earlier and not as centrally located as in the leaked pic. We can see the fan in the PS5 is larger than the PS4 Pro fan, which is shown here in the x-ray. The PS4 Pro fan is roughly 90 cm, while the PS5 fan looks almost 130-140mm diameter.

The die is clearly from a PS4 Pro, etc. There's an audio optical port from the PS4 Pro on the ports, etc.

Clearly fan made guess, but a damn good one.

I think its safe to assume the PS5 inside is roughly this.

I'm hoping it isn't real, cause the cooling look boring.

Makes sense. Also, I have read that the air is vented out through the back, and not at the bottom. And it makes sense: if you keep the PS5 in a vertical position, there would be no place to exaust the air.

Here's what I don't like about this video. It appears that MS told these youtubers to target specific titles to demo. I don't like this at all. If you are pushing BC hard then let these early users play what they want. They all test the same games.

BC won't push 1.825GHz "FIXED", won't saturate the asymmetric RAM, overall won't push the system to its fullest. Yet some reports of heats we're getting. Those BC modes should be way downclocked for compatibility. Anyone has the clock speeds of the BC modes?

PS5 seems to be made to push the air from front/top to out the back. Would work fine in either orientation. The venting on the front and back seems to be setup for air intake/outtake flow circulation. And to keep the console as open and vented as possible.

He's so right.

That’s why I was confused by everyone suddenly going after native 4K.

Some of the upscaling stuff from this generation, is nigh-on indistinguishable. Rise of the Tomb Raider looks amazing, and it’s just an optional mode. Why not use that and throw extra back into making the game look great?

The only thing I’m not a fan of is just leaving it at 1440p. It looks really nice, but 4K or ‘fake 4K’ is so much nicer looking.

So what you’re saying is that air comes out of its backside?

The Ps5 is silent but violent?

Cool. I will rename mine the Sony FartStation.

The size of the PS5 hasn't been a secret. Everyone pretending that the PS5 will be smaller than this is in for a rude awakening.

I honestly don’t think it’s a concern at all for those who want the console. Perhaps a bit of a technical concern when it comes to how one will orient their console with their tv’s or monitors but that’s it. I’m not positive anyone is as concerned about the size as you or Jez seem to imply 🧠.

WTF is happening here? Took a break to watch some Netflix, and coolness happened. This is what I come to this thread for. I have a hard time believing it, eventhough it's about the best piece of tech speculation I've seen in here.

EDIT: And the detectives are on the case. I'm watching Upgrade for the first time, and as good as this movie is, this thread is drawing my attention.

Speculation thread my dude.
It's already proven to be fake.
But it's a god-damn good one.
It fool me 3 times every time I compare it to a new leak.
