This was/is such a good game. It holds up so well. Remember playing it without a memory card and leaving it on for hours on end, haha.

Honestly Microsoft have made alot of promises and they really need to keep them. The same goes for the competition. It's only fair to their customers.

If the PS5 version of AC:V and Cold War performed worse than the Series X, Phil Spencer's insufferable Twitter secretaries would never shut up about it. They'd use it as ammunition to reaffirm there distorted belief that the PS5 is RDNA 1.0 and 9.2tflops.

These fucking people hahaha, first thirty minutes is all about trying to throw shade about ps5, how there are so many breaking, they are clocked to high, wired noises be heard, screws lose lol, constant crashing, how sony are desperate to go to 6-nanometer chips hahaha hahaha. These fucking people are so god damn delusional. xbox might not winning in the multi plates but at least it does not look like your tv is going to explode.

Sad to say my PS5 Digital was defective. Was able to play astrobot and valhalla no problem, however trying to launch miles morales resulted in a system crash within the first cutscene. This then resulted in ghost of tsushima and other back compatible games crashing. Two different error codes, one to do with the game itself and one to do with the system failing. I rebuilt database, no luck. Then I downloaded the ps5 system reinstall and reset my console. No dice.
Will be looking to get a fix or replacement tomorrow.
However,
Dualsense is amazing!

Oh, man, that's sad. I don't know why are there being so many software issues. I think companies are relying too much on "we can patch it later" rather than trying to deliver a finished product from the start. One of the bad things about the world we live in right now.

Hey, try turning off the console completely, unplug everything and then leave it for a few minutes. Then try it again.

I write Web APIs for work, APIs that are used by dozens of third parties, and we constantly are going back and finding better more efficient ways to handle things. We optimize and remove bottlenecks to make things work much faster while also using less resources. It's absolutely a thing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one that's buying into the "xbox tools are undercooked" thing - I'm just pointing out that APIs absolutely do get better and increase performance. Launch games that are cross gen are not a good indicator of anything other than how well the new consoles can brute force something.

I think you're probably mis-remembering.

Switching to GDK means that making games that play on PC and Xbox is easier. That's an advantage, because they both literally use the same APIs. Moving to a whole new API isn't going to make things easier for xbox devs making xbox games.

This whole article is loaded by our famous Dolphin dev, a guy who could not even sell 6 copies of his prior game on steam. Yet some Xbox fans hung unto his every word and defended his cred...We spoke to them and said, this guy is just saying this for attention, just like Dusk Golem who spoke of RE8 troubles because PS5 was getting too much overwhelmingly positive reactions on every reveal....

So my point is this; the tools were so great then by the orphan of the machine dev, the hardware was so superior then, so what happened? By the looks and trend of 120Hz modes between the consoles and the quality of the visuals in some of the 120fps games we've seen. The fact that PS5 is taking pole position in every 120hz faceoff, just shows how many lies and FUD were planted before launch, yet we called it out straight away in the next gen thread......So the reality is this; If Orphan of the Machine can easily do 4k 120fps on Series X.....I think the PS5 can easily do 4K 180fps in this title....

Tbh, looking at those visuals. I have no doubt this game could run at 16K 120fps
