here in Saudi Arabia u can find the series x in most store shelves and online to order

ps5 is sold out as soon as it is available to pre order any one did not pre order it did not get one

Hey all,

It's been a while. We've gotten moved, but I haven't had time to set everything up yet for the gaming center.

I have played my PS5 quite a bit and I'm loving the system. The UI feels a bit clunky, but I'm getting used to it. The BC is astoundingly good even for games not patched.

I was playing Division 2 with my good friend and was loading into areas around 10-20 seconds faster than him(he hasn't gotten one yet, gonna wait til next year).

Demon's Souls and Miles are fantastic, plus Bugsnax is very charming. The children love it, as I thought.

On the recent discussions, I'm sure XSX will start to improve, but I doubt you'll see much of a performance gap ever. It is fascinating to see all the "B..b..but" flying around when Sony has 120FPS modes, 4k, etc.

I've gotten a good bit of my late father's audio equipment, but I haven't set it up yet. It will be soon. Here's a picture of them back at home:

The heavy amps and sub behind them I have here already, just gotta be careful getting these, as they were custom made for him by Magneplanar. Can't wait to bring life to them again. He would be very happy.

All major retailers here refuse to sell or bring xbox in Oman. Some are getting them from other small retailers that bring them from UAE or USA. But the difference in general is simply massive. As said before, seeing an xbox in person is less often than seeing a Ferrari in my whole life.

Yes. In Spain the preorders or the new units they had at launch were sold out in a few minutes literally everywhere and there is a ton of people who wants to buy it and couldn't.

in Oman there must be no demand for xbox at all

here in Saudi all major retailers sell xbox series x and series s

but no body buy them maybe 10% of ps5 sales in best cases senario

Well, Xbox had some serious issues this time(late dev kits, no exclusives, bungled Halo, etc.). They'll get there, but they needed to come out swinging and failed to do so in a meaningful way.

Theyll turn around, but I grow weary of every launch they have being full of missteps that shouldn't have happened.

You'd think they would have learned from the Kinect/Used Games/Always Online/$100 more than PS4 debacle.

I can't speak to the rest of the world, but in the US, though Microsoft has a good foothold, Sony has an absolute chokehold on the top spot in terms of sales. The market dominance is wild.

Their first-party offerings are rivaled(not neccesarily always bested) only by the Big N.

If Sony does indeed acquire Bluepoint and Housemarque, they'll have an even more stellar first-party developer slate.

You post a thread with half a headline, you don't mention the fact that the framerate is worse on PS5 and the Tearing is worse on PS5, when asked why you say it's not an issue as YOU don't own the game so you didn't mention it. I don't expect you to mention Xbox ever again then as YOU don't own it and therefore any issues it has are irrelevant.

Let's see how long that lasts shall we.

Look, You cant be that daft, if any game renders at 1080p thats half the work of 1440p, and you seem to think this 1080p performance is some powerful feature.

You cant be that Naive can you, it is really funny to read. If Ps5 halved the resolution to 1080p, frame rate would almsot double.

What are you going on about I or nobody else knows really. Game should be running at 90 + FPS and a locked 60 at 1080p lol, so dynamic all the way down to 1080p should not miss 1 damn frame

Lmao I think he reiterates those points in a lot of his PS5 videos because other sources come out and confirm them as well. I know he words things weirdly in his videos, especially leaks because according to him his sources could get into trouble so he has to be careful about how he relays information and omits small bits and bobs of info too.

However I am looking forward to this one since he actually broke-down the PS5 hardware and found a few things which he said he'll go over, he also mentioned he knew the purpose of the additional DDR4 memory and ran a few things by actual developers so there should be some interesting nuggets in this video.

As for the game I said before the patch I would rather have a lower resolution for a few seconds than frame rate problems and tearing, that's what happened. You're making out the game runs at 1080p on XSX, it doesn't that's the lowest bound for a few seconds, 99% of the time it runs a lot higher. It's like saying that the PS5 version runs at 51fps and tears, it does but only probably for 1% of the game.

I said its not an issue because before the patch ps5 performance was better, so it will revert in time

And why do you need to own both games on both consoles to talk about comparisons ? Your logic is messed up.

Its not not complicated, if your happy with 1080p then good on you. You realise thats half 1440p resolution. So much for power lol

I believe Digital Foundry said they would be looking into some of the fixes that people are doing to see if it does anything. Be curious to see their video on the patch.

Yep, they need to move away from that Power angle narrative, it is doing them no favors, and what is going to happen if that power does not get better later in the generation. That 12tfop tag is going to come back to haunt them big time.

By using that narrative they are setting themselves up for Failure, who here genuinely believes that Microsoft studios are going to outshine sonys this generation, people need their head examined if they think this will happen.

What is going to happen when naughty dog, sucker punch, gorilla come out with full ps5 games in 3-5 years time, people are going to be like wtf, why does that look so better than the 12 tfolp one, we all know this is going to happen.

The sooner Microsoft drop that ridiculous 12 flop nonsense bullshit and start trying to Concentrate on quality the better they will be for it.

Drop it now to have a good generation, continue it, people are always going to use it against you.

I’ve said this before but the PS5 will outsell the Xbox worldwide no matter what, that’s just the way it is.
MS will be trying to improve on last generation which I think they will and gain market share with gamepass and xcloud app on smartphones and smart TVs

yeah I would say pulses are on par with 7 linefrom arctis on PS5. You get a better build with arctis and more features with pulses. Makes the arctis overpriced. The Astros isn’t a fair comparison to mebecause usb audio wired is underpowered so it’s won’t sound any good and mixamps were designed to do audio over optical and usb was for mic only. Maybe an update can fix that. Platinum soundsbetter than pulses and arctis 7 on PS5 but the mic picks up a lot of background noise. Ymmv depending on fit.

What they should do is wait until they can prove it and then use it for marketing. I believe they pushed the power crown claim a little too early. People were expecting a big power advantage at launch but so far we haven't seen that yet.

Microsoft has to stick to the power narrative because they have no alternative. While the PS5 is clearly the more powerful of the two consoles, it's even clearer that the PS5 has and will continue to have the better lineup of exclusives. Spreading FUD around and talking about teraflops and tools is dishonest but at least some gullible idiots will believe you. Nobody is going to believe them if they try to go toe to toe with Sony on games, and they can't just admit that they have the objectively inferior console.

Well, i think they are in a world of pain if they continue down that path, they have enough new studios now, they need to concentrate on those from now on, no more 65-70% released reviewed games. Promote quality, and deliver it, good games and people will take note.

So the impression I get is the update helped XSS version the most by giving users the choice to go with 60FPS at the expense of fidelity. The update didn't really do anything for the PS5 version but for XSX has a slight improvement helped by having a wider scale of resolution (goes down to 1260p) to spare it from suffering from excessive tearing (though NXG noted it's still there to a degree).

Honestly don't care for this game, never been into ACV, but these comparisons sure are fun haha.

I'm pointing out your sheer hypocrisy, that the frame rate tanking and tearing isn't an issue because you don't own the game😂
Maybe if they dropped the resolution PS5 could match the Series X frame rate, or Sony could actually deliver VRR.
Until then the Series X is now the best way to play this game on console.

What are you talking about? I REALLY don't think you're one to talk. Aren't you the one boasting about having a VRR compatible TV even though the vast majority of people don't?. Frame drops and tears aren't a problem because you have VRR isn't that exactly what you were saying? Or am I remembering it wrong? The problem doesn't effect him because he doesn't have the game just like frame drops won't effect you Mr VRR.

I have a VRR TV, it fixes a lot of launch issues with games, if other people don't feel the need to have that feature that's their choice.
If he's so unbothered about Valhalla why create a thread about it? Then only give half the story, I think we know why.

Awful lot of glass houses and console warring going on today. Been playing Valhalla after the patch on the PS5, haven't noticed any dips outside of a few cutscenes that effect both consoles. I recommend some people spend less time comparing centimeters and spend that time enjoying their game cause there really isn't enough of a difference between the two to argue a "Best place to play" currently. Also both will be tweaked even more as APIs get better on both sides over time. As most were saying, the gap is small and both can and will have their own advantages and disadvantages but the outcome will typically be great on both sides.

What a nice £1000+ choice man. Doesn't change the fact that majority of people do not have the it. 59.9 FPS at 1080p or 59.6 FPS at 1440p I'm sure we both know what we'd prefer but I guess brand loyalty won't let u admit it
