I'm reading the EG interview right now and the fact that they refuse to acknowledge Lockhart might be another wise chess move.
Why? Because they possibly want to catch Sony off-guard at E3 2020 by also announcing a value-oriented $299 SKU for the masses.
If they had confirmed it at E3 2019, Sony would have enough time to do the same or maybe even downgrade PS5 specs and release it this year for $399.
During E3 2020 not only APU designs will be set in stone (too late for more R&D), but mass production at TSMC/Foxconn will be ready to commence as well.
They've been very careful with their wording so far. For example, Phil said they're committed to supporting physical media, but he didn't clarify that only the higher-priced SKU is destined to have a Blu-Ray drive.
