Pressure is on nonis to succeed, and FAST

Even he was saying "we have hard decisions to make quickly"
Wasn't it said that Nonis will continue to build for the future, though? Trading a bunch of prospects for a 33 year old would be counter-productive.

Didn't stop AA from trading away the best catching prospect and the club's #3 pitching prospect away for a 38 year old pitcher.

This made no sense before that press conference, this makes less sense afterwards. We need a change in leadership, so we're going to put in the protege of the guy we just fired?

It was more of a clash of professionalism. Burke not fitting the mold Rogers and Bell wants in an executive.

Agreed. It's incredibly random.

It's obvious Burke didn't get along with the new owners. The teachers pension board loved him, the Rogers/Bell guys don't like him. The blow ups with multiple reporters probably didn't help either.

Didn't know you followed the Leafs this much, Beez.

Or is it your dad that told you all that? Or is this Mr. Beez Sr. taking over Beez's account?

Which might indicate that the new owner's warnings to Burke about having it turned around in a year actually apply to all of Burke's front-office guys as well.

For a 38 year old, 2012 Cy Young winner, who's almost universally expected to continue to pitch at a high level for another 3-4 years.

We might be trading one of our goalies Kernel, Garrioch says so.

GEY HYPED SON!!

He's been saying that for at least a year. It's common sense that by season's end one of Anderson, Bishop or Lehner(unlikely) will be gone.

Anderson hasn't played a pro game since game 7 against the Rangers. He'll be rusty and will probably get injured (chicken or in-game).

I'd keep all 3 and see what happens.

BM has been getting calls on our goalies, I wonder who and what they're offering? Most teams seem pretty set in goal.
