So this is pretty much the 3DS direct, with a pinch for Wii U for NA oddly.

So now we'll still have to wait for the 3rd-party Wii U one. Next month?

If there was ever a time for MAQL's Dragon Marked for Death to be unveiled for 3DS, this is it, it was first name dropped by Hashimoto over a year ago, NOW'S THE TIME!!! :(

MH4 won't get much. Maybe something but I doubt a release date this early and it being delayed. That game will be getting 'Monster Hunter 4 Nintendo Directs'; not just 3DS Directs on a variety of releases.

I honestly can see this being an ASAP thing. Replace the original model with a better designed one and make some cost savings. Done.

Didn't they say they would consider a Majora's Mask remake, but would make an original game first because they didn't want to do back to back remakes?

Aonuma said that a while ago. If a Zelda game gets announced tomorrow, it's going to be the new Zelda that EAD has been working on, not the Grezzo Majora's Mask port.

Anyway...what would make my night would be at least one new 3DS announcement.
Preferably of the Metroid or Star Fox variety!

That's exactly what they said, but apparently they could be lying, and a remake announcement would come before an original announcement, because reasons.

Oh ok. I was assuming people actually had evidence to the contrary. I'm really not sure we'll see Zelda at all. I think it's possible, but I'm not expecting them to.

Nintendo..seriously..you are running out of time here- are you really going to have no 1st party Wii U games for April in Japan?

I think it'd be more suitable at E3, since outside of Smash Bros I'm not sure they'll be many big announcement, with Nintendo focusing on the floundering WiiU instead. Then again, the DS Zeldas were announced at GDC, so it doesn't have to be a huge event necessarily. Then again AGAIN, if it resembles the DS Zeldas I'll slide my 3DS stylus over my eyeball and into my frontal lobe.

Duckroll, you are putting plutonium in the hype train. It doesn't run on plutonium Duck. You're going to explode everything :(

Well... they did just announce another remake in the form of Wind Waker for Wii U... A lot of Zelda remaking which I'm not really approving of. Remakes should be few and far between original titles OR as hold overs for new titles, but they shouldn't be what pushes new ones back.

Nintendo doesn't announce games at E3, and hasn't really in the last couple years. This year will likely continue the trend. ND's before and after E3 got them a lot more attention than their actual E3 (which is why Ubisoft won last E3)
