Oh crap, I just realized. There's no way to do 2P in G&WG4, right? You had to play 2P in order to get some stars in order to unlock stuff. Though I think that's only for Boxing & DK3, so you're only missing out on 10 or 20 stars, which means the only unlock you'd miss out on is just
the cast credits
, but you can still get the major unlocks, i.e. new games to play.

Edit: I'm tempted to get F-Zero GP Legend (though if it's more like the SNES original, I'll pass), Konami Krazy Racers (though if it's like the SNES or GBA Mario Karts, I'll pass), and Super Dodge Ball. Though I wonder if there'll be more discounts next week.

GP Legend is heavily inspired by the SNES game, but it has all the extra vehicles, and some story mode missions, and it's a lot easier. Krazy Racers is very heavily inspired by the SNES and GBA Mario Kart games, and plays pretty much just like them.

Ahh, okay. I prefer N64 & newer versions of F-Zero (especially GX) & Mario Kart. I tried the SNES versions of those & not even nostalgia could get me to like Super Mario Kart again, it feels so....stiff, I guess, compare to later games. F-Zero was okay, but I highly prefer GX.

New EU releases seem to have become available on the web sometime within the last few hours.

Edit: Damn, that is slick. Even though I didn't have funds in there, the whole process was completed in the time it would have taken the Wii U to just open the eShop. Love it. Well done Nintendo.

Yeah I'm impressed as well. Never buying something on the 3DS eShop again unless I have to :p

Heh the shop is a thing of the past for me too.
I was expecting to get stopped for having no funds when I first used it, was pleasantly surprised your card and saved pin both carried over :)

Gonna buy all 3 SNES games next week. Hope it's not another month before more good SNES games. I've been holding off buying SNES games again on Wii/Wii U b/c I still have my games and SNES. Portable is worth buying them again, but they need to be available. :lol

I just hope we see the 3rd party support soon like we saw confirmed for Japan. I'd totally buy Super Castlevania 4 & Contra 3 on my New 3DS for the go & the My Nintendo points.

I was looking back at my actual SNES cartridges from childhood, and there actually aren't that many of them. The only ones left that I have in cartridge form and haven't rebought, to this point, that aren't scheduled and that have a chance in heck of being released again considering licensing is DKC3. TMNT4 is out. Star Fox is (unfortunately) out. Already caved and got F-Zero and Castlevania IV again on Wii U. Wasn't into RPGs back during the SNES period. (GBA got me going strong there.) Surprising just how few games I had back on SNES.

Holy shit. I just found out that Lovely Planet didn't even release in Germany.

What in the world is this nonsense.

edit: in other news, Lovely Planet does indeed support IR Wiimote aim. Now they just need to get on with the USK rating...

Konami Krazy Racers (though if it's like the SNES or GBA Mario Karts, I'll pass)

Just came in to say Konami Krazy Racers is awesome. Super Circuit feels awful to play because of how slippery everything is and I agree that SMK feels too stiff, but KKR hits a decent balance. I mean at the end of the day it's still a pseudo-3D kart racer, but it's my favorite GBA racing game.

Also, you can play as the Moai head from Gradius. nuff said

Right in the childhood feels. One of my first GBA games with THPS2, and it was awesome to wait for MK with this. Great characters, great tracks, nice music, amazing speed, and for the lonely kid that I was, the ability to play the multiplayer against bots.

Hey everyone, I finally got some more codes for Mini Mario & Friends Amiibo Challenge. If you can't wait 2 weeks and some change for it, PM me. I think I have 5 codes for each system.

Yeah, the cast itself is rather cool & silly. I just heard "oh it did Mario Kart on GBA before Super Circuit" which kind of made me skeptical. Glad to hear it's not like the SNES or GBA MK games.

Actually, was it confirmed that for games on sale, you get points based on the original price for My Nintendo?

Yeah, that's how it works. I don't know if it's really supposed to be that way, but yeah, you'll get gold points based on the original price.

Yeah, I just picked this up after reading this. The Wiimote implementation isn't perfect (there's no reticule or free aim), but it's serviceable.

Did Nintendo raise the price of Woolly World on the German eShop by 10 Euro?
I was thinking about getting the 20% off when myNintendo was starting, but decided to wait till this weekend, since I had more time now.

I am 85% sure, that the price was 39,99 Euro then and is 49,99 Euro now. Was there a sale going on, I didn't know about?

Woo buddy. You know what game has aged really poorly? Donkey Kong 64.
Started playing it on the virtual console and man, that is rough to play now.

Ugh, have fun having to replay the same stages FIVE TIME. I tried replaying it a year or so ago, it has not aged well considering the constant character swapping & the fact EVERY SINGLE DAMN THING is character specific.

I'm fairly certain it was 50 from the beginning. A weird choice considering we had games like Mario Maker & Splatoon at 40.

The OT for Woolly World says £39.99 for the UK, which it still is. The original price listed here of £34.99 was wrong, it seems?

What does no free aim mean exactly? You mean no way to move the (non existent) reticle independently of the camera view?

Okay, so maybe it could have been a pricing error from the new Nintendo web based eshop? Shouldn't amazon still show the official price for the game, if it's 10 Euro less through them?

Either way, no buy for me then. Even if I take back the scummy, if I'm in the wrong here.

Does amazon.de's pricing always match the eShop, then? That's not the case here in the UK.

No, but the eShop always matches the official pricing normally and Amazon.de marks price adjustments from their side as savings for the cusmtomer.

So a 39,99 Euro price point by amazon instead of 49,99 Euro suggested by Nintendo would be marked as 10 Euro savings.

It always was.
I thought it was a poor game right from launch, it was only useful for the included Expansion Pak which allowed me to play Perfect Dark.

Yeah, you always shoot in the direction you're facing. Wiimote controls in shooters tend to work better when you decouple aiming and the camera.

You'd think in 2016 devs would've figured out how to "easily" do FPS controls for the Wiimote with so many good examples to reference. Which is why it's such a bummer that Paranautical Activity (launches next Thursday in NA) doesn't have any. Perfect game for it.

Personally I enjoyed replaying it last year, with decent framerate at last! 2 unforgivable cons though:
- What with those controls??? Crazy considering how smooth movement in Banjo Kazooie was.
- Some fucking mini games, like the Beaver Bother (15 in 60"). After 20-30 tries I gave up and never touched the game it as I realized I couldn't go for that 101%. Really disappointing, considering I was really enjoying my playthrough for the first 5 worlds.

edit: I really wish this game gets remade one day because I'm sure it will be a true gem once it gets its problem sort out.

I guess I can mention it here, but do your weekly check-ins for My Nintendo points at the eShop, Miiverse, My Nintendo's site, & www.nintendo.com/games.

About another week & I should be able to get WarioWare Touched.

I'm late on this and I can't vouch for the international versions but in the JP VC release, you can earn exactly enough stars to unlock the credits and then it'll just give you the remaining stars once you watch them.
