Any impressions from folks that have picked up Terraria for the 3DS? I own it on PC/PS3/Vita and would most definitely consider picking up the 3DS version if it's good.

I'm curious too. I've never played it, but it looks like a 2D minecraft. And I loved Minecraft. So I am curious how it is. I want to check it out.

So, I assume that the sale price for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked will be the lowest it ever will be.

Is this any good? Are the other Shim Megami better?

Overclocked is a good SMT game. It's the only one I've finished out of the ones I've played since I got a 3DS.

(Edit: I've played Strange Journey, Soul Hackers, and SMT 4 also.)

Overclcoked is an amazing SRPG. Great story with multiple paths, well designed battle scenarios, deep combat system, tons of content. It's a steal at that price.

I enjoyed all the SMT games on 3DS but if I were to rank them by enjoyment it would be as follows:
DeSu: Overclocked > SMT IV > DeSu: Record Breaker > Soul Hackers

Of course it's a bit of an apples to oranges situation since the DeSu games are SRPGs while IV and Soul Hackers are 3rd and 1st person dungeon crawlers.

Personally, I'd rank them as 4, SH, DSO, but they're all great. Like, all 3 of those are in my top 5 MegaTen list. Still need to play Record Breaker.

Weird, I had no clue Dementium was getting a 3DS remaster until I saw that Destructoid review today. And apparently Dementium II is getting ported to 3DS as well? You'd think they wouldn't have bothered after the lukewarm reception the PC version got. I might check it out though, I had some fun with it on DS (although they had better change that godawful "scare chord" tune that plays every time you see an enemy... it stops being scary and just becomes annoying).

Renegade Kid had zero involvement with that weird PC port.

Apparently Xeodrifter & Moon Chronicles did pretty badly on the 3DS eShop, so Renegade Kid is looking to do some mobile stuff :(.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free

Good luck for them if they think its easier to make money on mobile with the content they are putting out right now.

Haven't played Xeodrifter, but Moon Chronicles deserved failure with the stupid decisions they made. Ep 1 came out WAAAAY before the other episodes, cost 9 bucks, and has literally 45 minutes of gameplay. They also promised a second "season" of content to be released in 2015 and that's nowhere to be seen.

Gosh, my 3DS screen is so full of badges that when I bought Runny Egg on sale, the launch icon had to go like three screens over. >.>

I really enjoyed Xeodrifter. I thought was a nice little throwback.

Now, Moon Chronicles. If this is the same game I'm thinking of (think it was called Moon), I liked the original game on the regular DS. That came on a cart, and wasn't too bad of a FPS, considering it was one of the few on that system at the time. Now, with them relaunching it in a episodic format, this sounds like a money grab, and a shittily-planned one at that.

Looking forward to Legend of Dark Witch 2 and a discounted Steel Empire this week.

Although I picked up Legend of Dark Witch again tonight and that game is absurdly difficult.

Like seriously, the PDF version is 12 pages long.

Why would a budged VN sold 100 Yen per episode have any voice acting? Actually, it's most likely a good thing, because low budget VA by the dev team or their family/friends is usually atrocious

My little waifu can't be this mute.

Some beginners who want to get experience, i suppose, must be cheap.

Get to know your enemies, find their weaknesses, and crush them. Experiment with magic to discover powerful spells. Only the strongest will survive. To defeat the seemingly undefeatable Watrys, you will need to level up your character and find powerful armour and weapons. The game controls were designed with a Nintendo 3DS stylus in mind so mastering both sword and magic is a fun and intuitive experience. Do you have what it takes to stand against such evil? Then don’t procrastinate and enter. The Keep awaits you...

Is OlliOlli cross buy? I'll buy Thomas Was Alone and maybe the Swindle and Lone Survivor. Can someone tell me more about these 2 games? Thanks!

Agatsuma dissolved recently, so this might be your last chance to buy Code of Princess and UmiharaKawase

I don't think CoP is worth it, but UmiharaKawase defintely is.

OlliOlli is crossbuy, yea. Which is why it's weird that it's not in the 3DS deals.

Lone Survivor is a 2D pixel art horror game.
The Swindle is a 2D stealth heist game with randomly generated levels and a Pikmin-style maximum number of days deadline by which you have to get the needed cash (build for replayability). Both are highly recommended. All of them are a steal at these prices :)

Not really. This is a remake, nothing like the 3D Classics games. The US release was twice that price in dollars!

Almost sold on OlliOlli, sold on Lone Survivor and I'll pass for now on the Swindle. Thanks for the info!

PS: Hoping for a Year Walk sale on the future... let's see if there's one for New year! :D

The Swindle needs some love, guys. That game really flew under the radar on all platforms for some reason, despite great reviews and a highly regarded designer.

Why do we always get the great discounts, when I'm not at home where my Wii U is? -.- We really need the web version of the eShop. March can't come soon enough.

How can these Curve games be so cheap?! I just bought Nova-111 on sale last week on PS3 for $7.99. Not that I mind, but wow. Well, we shall see if we get such an incredible eShop week here in NA!

Okay, so I downloaded Petit Novel Series - Harvest December, and here's the scoop on it:

This is a visual novel divided in 13 chapters. They were released in Japan separately as an episodic release, I think, but here we have the whole package in a single download.

Let's get this out of the way first: I played the whole first chapter, and if the whole game is like it (no reason to believe otherwise), then there are no choices to make or branched paths. No mini-games, puzzles, or any form of gameplay either. The game is a single storyline with a single ending, so it's really more of an e-book.

When I started playing I almost regretted the purchase due to how clichéd and tropey everything felt, but as the story progressed and started setting things up, I found myself quite engaged by the plot. It's actually pretty nice how well set up everything is, as the story gets interesting real quickly and doesn't waste time on long intros or flashbacks.

The game is VERY Japanese, with a lot of its plot based around Japanese culture and traditions. It uses Japanese honorifics and Japanese words for the more traditional stuff ("Bento" rather than "Lunchbox"), but it also includes definitions for some of these words, which is something I appreciate.

The only real problem with the game is this: the upper screen is all character artwork and CGs, while all the text is on the bottom screen. Since the game is written in book style rather than the traditional script style (dialogue is in quotes instead of next to a character's name), sometimes it's a bit confusing as to who said what. There were several times in which I had to reread the text to make sure I got it right.

But all in all, I'm enjoying it. It's an engaging plot and the characters (despite being rather stereotypical) are quite likeable for the most part. It took me about 4 hours to get through Chapter 1, so assuming similar lengths for later chapters, we're looking at a 50-60 hour VN here.

Buy it, but only if you like the genre and you don't mind the lack of branched paths and the anime clichés.

I don't think CoP is worth it, but UmiharaKawase defintely is.

In NA, Code of Princess was released by Atlus and Yumi's Odd Odyssey was released by Natsume, so there's no issue there. In EU there's more of a chance that may indeed happen.
