I got this from the guy who runs ZHQ these days. Mike Daimani:

Hopefully the next month will bring us more info. Nintendo Power is doing a huge 2005 preview for their next issue, and I expect Zelda tidbits. If anything, May 17th is only five months away. The pre-E3 conference for Nintendo. Z-Day. Take it easy, enjoy the College Footbal Bowl Season (GO LONGHORNS!), and have a great New Year!

hopefully it's true.

Misleading topic fool, it's a huge PREVIEW with maybe some Zelda tidbits, not a huge zelda preview.

I'll take anything, but I doubt we'll get any new media or the like.

My gosh, I want this game so bad.

Wasn't the new Nintendo Power with the huge 2005 preview already released ?

what was it?

hmm yeah, I thought he talked about Zelda when he said huge preview. I mean it's a site ONLY about Zelda. Oh well.

I think so. At least someone mentioned that Geist was included in it, so presumably it's out there somewhere. I'd say we would have heard about it by now if there was any new Zelda info in it, but if someone could check for sure..

I predict old screenshots, recycled information, and a black outline of the current link artwork with a question mark in it.

Didn't they do it last year? (the black artwork)

I hope we see something more of the new Zelda before E3. This game is going to make me buy a Gamecube if it turns out the way I've always wanted a 3D Zelda to be.

How you've always wanted a 3D Zelda to be? Turn based with upgradable weapons and random dungeons?

Sounds like something Nintendo Power would do to me.

I still haven't gotten this (last?) months issue! -_-; Irregardless I could care less about SelloutDa. They just better have more super good Minish Cap info!

Nintendo better show something quick. My hype for this game has been dropping since.

Uh-Oh! User 'beerbelly' on the message board on the gaming-age website on the internet is losing interest in the new Zelda... We had better release an 8-minute gameplay trailer!

Speaking of NP Scans, did anybody else catch those Starfox: Assault scans yet?

Yup, shows new areas, they're cool. Star fox keeps looking better and better, its good that namco put the necessary time on it, cant wait to see the final product.

You just want DJ Demon J to fuck it up so you can PM Mike and change your shameful tag, 'fess up.

Great comment Olimario!
I'm just saying, if a die hard Zelda fanboy like me is losing interest it's not a good thing. I'm sure there are numerous others who feel the same way.

Do not worry. G4 is doing their job at promoting 'Mature Zelda' as the next best game.

beerbelly is indeed a die hard zelda fanatic. Talked to him several times in the past.

Are we talking about the Feb. issue, or March? The Feb. issue has a feature called "9 Trends Set To Drive '05," and the 9th is Zelda. There is no new info and 3 old screens that NP calls new.

PS: The next issue preview mentions nothing about a Zelda blowout, so I'm assuming the little blurb and old shots I mentioned was what Mike was talking about.

I'll take a couple new screens. oh yeah. I'm not even a huge fan of Zelda or Nintendo, and i am excited about this new one. the first Zelda game I owned was LTTP. never had an NES or Zelda & Zelda II. I didn't even anticipate Ocarina of Time or MM. although I did get heavily into OoT. I did not get into WW at all. but THIS Zelda is the first one I have ever truly anticipated. looks to be the first Zelda I really care about. its gonna be tough waiting. not even RE4 will help the wait. :/

Knowing more about the game now will just make the wait harder.
I don't care if we wont hear new things about the new Zelda till e3, the game is coming out at the end of the year anyway, so whats the big deal?

It's important to be able to tell when people are being facetious.

But the reading comes first. You can't hope to achieve the former unless you can read.

ESL, but that wasn't the problem here. I made a "terrible" misstake ok? Can you move on now?

here talk about something constructive. like this not-so-new-anymore but very cool Zelda screen

the overall image looks exellent though. IMO. maybe not technically, but at least artistically.

better texture would make it better, but at least it looks good to begin with, i'm sure the textures will have improved in the final game

i want a good-looking atmospheric realistic zelda, but I don't like the dark palette.

I mean, look outside, realistic != dark

Leave the dark colors for the dungeons, and gimme back my colorful zelda overworld~

This is hardly a new look for Zelda, LttP has a very similar colour scheme.

EDIT: It could even be a dark world, though I have a feeling it's not.

Are you talking about the February issue? That came out at least two weeks ago. There's nothing new about Zelda 2005 in that issue. If you're talking about the March issue, there's not mention of Zelda 2005 in the next issue preview at the end of the Feb issue.
