Nintendo reaffirms that it will not censor third-party games, says doing so would ‘inhibit’ industry

I can get where the guy is coming from, but it is a dick move to keep the censorship hidden to "not jeopardize" the release.
I essentially agree. EastAsiaSoft is a small publisher. Besides lots of shovelware, they're mostly known for rescuing somewhat pervy-console games that either got stuck in Japan or altered for previous Western releases. I can appreciate not being financially able to scuttle the game, but choosing to remain silent on the content omission kills their reputation--people usually prefer to know they're being deprived something over feeling like they've been tricked.

I actually don't understand why people try to separate this from NCL not only because both NOA and NOE started doing the exact same shit at the same time for some reason, but we also know that NCL likes to have a lot of control on its regional subsidiaries.
If we start hearing more and more issues about the Asia (South Korea, Hong-Kong, etc.) side, then it won't surely be only a problem with the Western staff.
And honestly, Gamazumi's Sakura Melody not even getting a Switch release in Japan is already a red flag for NCL

Steam is notorious for being nothing if not inconsistent with their approach to this, there’s seemingly one lady on their approval team that if a publisher gets assigned to her for a game like this it’s an automatic rejection

there’s also no appeals process nor are you even allowed to make changes & then resubmit, the only time I think Steam has EVER changed a ban was for Mages/Spike Chunsoft when they initially rejected the latest in the Sci Adv series
It's both hilarious and incredibly sad at the same time when you consider that this is the same Valve that even to this day will reject shit that isn't explicit cock and balls pornography, but will put questionable furry porn shovelware slider puzzles right next to the latest AAA release.
Even just using the Dungeon Travelers series as an example Valve clearly doesn't have a good grasp on what the hell they're doing. PSP and/or Vita releases? Yeah we're going to let one in but only behind the 'Frequent Nudity or Sexual Content' flag and ban the other two. Don't tell anybody, it can be our little secret! 🙄

Uhm... are we talking about the same Steam that rejected Tokyo Clanpool just a month ago?

At least NoJ seems to be fine with Tokyo Clanpool as it's releasing on the Switch in Asia.

How does this even happen when there is straight up porn games on Steam now? I am so fucking confused
