Nintendo Switch |DT2| No excellent soul is exempt from a mixture of madness

Which of these definitely """real""" leaks are you most hyped for?

Street Fighter II is not a SNES game just because it had a SNES port, lol. Maybe we could call it a Game Boy game, going by that logic.

The 16bit versions of SF2 are far from optimal and, if true, this version would likely be based on the arcade release.

Let's make this interesting;

1) What could be shown that would make this a deal breaker for many?

What could be shown to make you run out day one and buy this thing no matter what?

Mario is like 3DWorld rather than 64 or Sunshine

And the only reason I wouldn't buy the Switch day 1 is the above as well.

If the handheld mode stays in low power mode even when the AC is connected. I primarily want this to play in bed or when I'm not at home but near a power socket but I want the full crunch then.

edit: interpreted it as "deal breaker for you"

Dealbreaker for many people would probably be DRM/Region Locked/BOTW looking worse then on WiiU

That's cause Next Level Games is working on something else ;)

My dream game, Punch-Out!! with a bunch of new characters, some returning, and the ones not returning appear as trainers of some of the new characters.
Because I really need to see Glass Joe training Gabby Jay lol

The trainers thing was one of the few cool things Super Punch-Out!! had.

There's absolutely no way it's a port (if it's real). None. Why would a Virtual Console game be playable?

I guess it could be that HD remake from last gen, but I doubt it.

But I also doubt it exists, period.

You have no clue if it's one or the other.

They could remake the game using sprites too.

The name is clearly indicative of a port and there's no mention of any updated artwork.

Also even if you insist it's not a SNES game it's still ancient.

As someone that owned a Wii U day 1... I won't be buying a game I already played no matter what new content it has. Zbotw is the only game I see myself purchasing right now on launch.

This.

Planning to get the Switch when Zelda or Mario launches.
I hope in Day 1.

There's no version of Street Fighter II called "The Final Challengers".

Not a port. And if i'm wrong about that, it's certainly not a SNES port. You're dooming and glooming yet again. Stop.

Rayman or something else that was rumored to be a port.

Nowhere did she say it was one of her previously rumored Wii U ports that was not a port. One of the, not my.

It would make sense, but Ancel is working on BGE already though.

1.) Over $300, I'd have serious doubts.

2.) Metroid by a studio I trust. Metroid is one of my favorite series and it's been painful to see it languish (Though worse to see what was done to it in Other M).

Do you not own a PS4? If third party is so important to you, I'm kind of surprised if you don't, especially if third party games are more important to you than Nintendo's output.

I do own a PS4...with like two games...well, three. Dragon Age: I, Gravity Rush, and Final Fantasy XIV.

I'm not a fan of Sony's ecosystem so I don't buy many games on Sony systems. I like good control schemes and the remote and nunchuck is my favorite controller of all time. Still use these on my Wii U and want something like this on the NS. I'd rather be part of the Nintendo ecosystem if I have the chance to get some interesting controls outside the standard dual analog stuff. Not much of an issue for RPGs, I know, but I still like to keep all of my main games in one place. The PS4 just isn't all that interesting to me.

Have Amazon worked out their differences with Nintendo? For the longest time they weren't directly selling Nintendo systems so wondering if it's worth logging on at 10 to preorder or if I should just go to gamestop?

1) No Zelda and/or new Mario Day 1. But more realistically - no way to pre-order it for Day 1 since I live in Croatia. So please, amazons, deliver.

2) Zelda and/or new Mario... I'm easy. Everything else is icing on the cake.

This is good question. No Gamestops where I live though.

Well, if it's true that the dock has a fan to help with cooling in full power mode, you may be out of luck. It would probably stay in low power to prevent overheating without the extra fan.

We'll find out tonight hopefully! That's a good point and one I hadn't though of since I'll almost never use it undocked.

There is no existing version of "Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers" for them to do a straight port. If it was just a port of an existing version with minor tweaks, they would just say as such like with every other single rerelease of SF2 (re: SSFT2 HD Remix)

Yeah, if it's a full-blown update of the final arcade version of SFII, that would be pretty sweet.
That's what I'm thinking. Best bet is that USF2 is stock SSF2 Turbo or Hyper SF2 with extra characters. Like a $20 download title.

It's not going to replace SFV on the Capcom Pro Tour. It'll just be a nice curiosity for the 30th anniversary.

Yeah, sorry, but that ain't happening. Prepare to have the deal broken for you.

Validity of the claims aside,

1) Nostalgia sells. Look at the NES Mini for proof. A lot of gamers my age have very fond memories of Street Fighter 2 and Bomberman.

2) Both of those would showcase one of the key features of the system, the portability with single system multiplayer.
