I'm pretty confident they're not going with just one SKU, but there hasn't been any material leaks to support this. No ad leaks, price slip ups, etc. I'm expecting a Basic and Pro/Premium SKUs like the Wii U.

It'll be $249 and somewhere between £200-£250.

If not then yeah, meltdown. They cannot price this more than that, it wouldn't be worth it. I'll still buy it anyway, but hey ho

I'm with Natwest, and it always fails at the bit where it goes to my bank for authentication; so I reckon my bank is probably flagging it up as odd that I'm tryna drop a grand on the internet, maybe?

$200 without a pack-in is the sweet spot. $250 with a launch title. A $250 console without any games is still a $300+ console at the end of the day.

Okay well if PS4 is the same price as Switch and you can play many major multiplats on the latter plus Nintendo games then why the hell is the PS4 a better value?

It's should not cost more .. it's not new tech.. the same tech is actually being sold for less..

They Have to be price conscious to have a chance unless they are aiming to fail.

Gamestop buddy of mine told me his store is getting about 30, and he told me to come early :(

Does anyone really think the line will get NES classic bad? I have a feeling there will be lines outside gamestop but not that bad.

Think getting there 1 hour early is enough?

I'd have thought mine would. I'm Santander using a student account. Surely it'd of stopped me if that was the case? What student would drop £999.99 on the net like that? :p

I got my email confirmation by the way. You may wanna try a different card? I think it's worth getting a preorder in now if you can since there'll be a massive wave after the conference ends and you'll be 'higher' up in the list.

Let me know if you work it out :)

So? That line of reasoning doesn't make sense to me. If you would be just as happy with PS4 or X1 then you would've bought one already. People buying a Switch are doing so either for Nintendo exclusive games or for the hybrid gimmick. Obviously the price can't be too high but it's not simply a direct comparison to PS4/X1 price because in reality there aren't a lot of people just waiting around deciding which singular platform to adopt.

30 sounds high... although i really hope that's an average amount cause I should get one no problem if so.

Guess I'll attempt to order from Amazon whenever pre-orders start (right after the conference?), if not my local Gamestop's pretty small so I can probably swing by tomorrow and get lucky.
