Nobody is wishlisting Concord on Steam

Sony, now is your chance. I'm sure WB wished they just deleted all the Suicide Squad files instead of spending all that money to market and launch it. Sony has the chance to not make this mistake. Just delete it all Herman. Drag it to the recycling bin, and then empty recycling bin. You won't regret it and accounting dept will thank you.

My question.

What is concord?
A type of grape.

I understand the gameplay is pretty good, but it’s a hero shooter, if the hero’s are lame and uninteresting and not appealing to players, why play this vs another hero shooter?

Redesign all the characters with a good character designer. The modelling and animation is great. Redo all the voices and writing.

That might give it a chance but it’s a hell of a lot of work for what will quite possibly still fail. 🤷‍♂️

Edit: turning it into a tax write off might not be a bad idea. Kill it, never release it, mark it as a loss to offset a couple hundred million tax. Keep the studio, sack those who need to be, and make something new that people actually want.
“We’re delaying the game to update it for traditional audiences, AKA the people who actually buy and play video games”.

I’d love to see it but you know The Professor and pals would treat that as a crime against humanity.

Yeah I think tax write-off would be the only sane choice.

We should mass wish list this thing to fuck with these guys.
lol out of curiosity yesterday I added it to my wishlist and 30 minutes later it jumped from 801 to 796. Then I removed it.

A joke I've been seeing about this game alot lately is that it's the first game to "defeat" or "disprove" rule 34. The character designs are so bland, unappealing, and forgettable that no one even wants to make porn of them.
The asian girl is cute in a bitchy way. Like I expect to get home and she tries to peg me or something. I also had a friend ask me if I would fuck the girl with the tail lol

Personally, I wouldn't even call the gameplay "pretty good". It's just as bland and derivative as the rest of the game. Floaty movement, long TTKs, and it feels slow overall. The heroes are bland, the combat is bland, the maps are bland. It's just a tasteless nutrient paste of a game made up of ideas from other games that do them better. At least a game like Lawbreakers tried to do something slightly different -- and even that wasn't enough to save it.

Just delete it all Herman. Drag it to the recycling bin, and then empty recycling bin.

Even easier: Click the folder, SHIFT+Delete, click yes.
Money saved.

The game is #40 on the top pre-orders on PS5 in my country.

Games like The Sims™ 4 Lovestruck Expansion Pack, the next Life Is Strange, 3 Dragon Ball editions, the 120€ Star Wars Outlaws are all ahead. Even the more expensive to buy (and much less expensive to develop) Astrobot that releases one month later is at #11 and #16.

Concord is an absolute failure in every metric so far and that won't change with its release.

Yikes...

... Is this a call to action?

Quick, someone do a rough sketch on MS Paint.

“Modern audiences” sure aren’t buying any of these games supposedly made for them (saw this on Reddit)
I had to check if some of those numbers were accurate since they seem incredibly and unbelievably too low. Zau is actually alltime high 287 and Aveum is in the 700s. But close enough. It's true enough. The reddit guy probably took a snapshot at a point of time.

In this day, it is incredible that some of these Steam ports have gamers this low. There's no name, no marketing solitaire games that probably got higher CCU than this. lol

I love how someone on GAF posted recently Delta Force military bro shooter has 600,000 wishlisted or something (I forget what the number was but it was big)

Unless devs/higher ups live in tiny woke buble they will know exactly why dude bro shooter named delta force has tons of players, and woke concord with its fat lesbians heroes has basically none :)
We all know the reason and its simple af- competetive multiplayers/shooters audience is mostly teenage boys/young male adults, which means they need that testosterone injections in the game, and obviously last thing they wanna look at are lesbians who have no waist coz of fucked up hormones :p

I really have no interest in a hero shooter regardless of the premise or subject matter. It's too late to jump onto the trend and something would have to be extremely exceptional to stand out in the market, and by all accounts and footage shown so far of Concord, it looks ok, but it's not doing much that isn't already being done by a dozen different offerings.

Let's open an anti-DEI "consultant" company so that those woke fools can sell their games to the majority of their audiences, and not cater to the minority on Twitter/X or REEEEE. You know, feed their families instead of virtue signally and going broke.
You joke, but hiring a consultancy company that advises publishers on how to clean up the woke stuff in their games so it can appeal to a wider audience would probably be far better business move at this point.

Yep, that’s the weirdest thing here. Developers and Publishers keep pushing this shit, it it doesn’t really sell.

You can have a diverse game that’s actually good and offers a ton of choices to play as you wish, like BG3. The drivel above ain’t it.

I think some devs/publishers were somehow misled or simply didn't realize that no one wants this crap and it doesn't sell..... unless it's attached to a popular IP that will get strong sales regardless.
It's like "Oh look they added a ton of DEI stuff to Spiderman 2 and it sold amazing!".... yeah because it's fucking Spiderman.

From the top of my head I can't think of any game (or movie and TV show really) that was built from the ground up with this stuff and actually became successful. All the "woke"/DEI infested content that still manages to sell usually gets added later on to a franchise or IP that was already popular without any of that stuff.

thats the thing, and they use this data to leadership as "look, its working, it keeps selling". It's difficult to grasp the consequences of this action in a short term period. For instance, myself I went like this:
  1. The Last of Us - Left Behind: this is fine!
  2. The Last of Us 2 (+ Neil interviews): mmm okay? I guess he wants to send a message.
  3. Spiderman Miles Morales: Ok........ whats up with this stuff about people putting their hands up and all this political flags. I will be more cautious with what I buy from Sony.
  4. Horizon 2: Okkkkk thats it, buying a PC (first time in like 10 years haha).
So in the process of like being turned off from this stuff, I still made 4 purchases to Sony. So from their side they were like "everything is fine, look at the numbers". But holy s%2t they lost a loyal customer from PS1 Era, like wth. I mean after they rebuild themselves again when they start seeing the trend then will be back so no hard feelings. (we just lost like an entire console generation because of this :/)

I think that’s exactly what it is. Trends tend to go on longer than they should, and their death becomes clear only in retrospect.

Most normies just want to be entertained and excited. At first they may only be dimly aware of the stuff that’s creeping into their entertainment. But over time they start noticing the patterns more clearly. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

I really think 2024 is the year the dam breaks. Because now it is plain as day that this shit will cost you LOTS of money. You might be able to ignore “toxic trolls” when they criticize your game, but you can’t ignore it when game after game is losing tens of millions of dollars.

Likely a lot of shills wanting it to fail but there were just as many blue shills (especially early on) constantly replying in threads how this game would do well and just wait for the open beta

Most people want it to die because its 5+ years late to a party that no one wanted in 2024.

The game has no depth, TTK takes 239 bullets to kill someone and the maps are not good

Then for the icing on the cake you have the professor and the games pretty obvious agenda
