Shit! Wade isn't playing?! I'm going to pull my hair out with my teeth. Wade, T Mac, Big Ben....all out. Fuck. At least the Raptors can win their game that starts in a couple hours to make up for my extreme sorrow.

Bobcats have held Pierce to 4 pts on 2-5 shooting through almost two quarters...

edit: Cats-Celts tied 41 all at half

"Hahahah! That was funny Mr. Stern. Now really, which team am I going to?"

Artest might have just managed to get the first flagarant foul in the history of the nba without actually touching the guy :lol What a shitty call.

Lakers are pathetic....all is well in the world.

You might never see this ever:

Pacers-Sixers.

50 secs to go in the first OT and the Pacers only have 5 eligible players. The rest fouled out. Seriously. OMGWTF??? One more player fouls out and they say they'll be playing with only 4 players.

Just saw the Lakers final:

Wow, Kobe had a monstrous night, and actually shot better than 40% to boot! (with only 12 FT's! :D). 41 points, 7 reb, 8 assists-- nice.

Still, when you allow 4 guys on the opposing team to go for 20+, you're not gonna win many games. Nice to see Grant Hill playing well again with a big night: 27 points, 12 rebounds (4 offensive), 4 assists, 4 steals. Very impressive, considering where he's been. Hopefully this is the start of his comeback-- he's always been incredible, and a great guy to boot. He deserves success for even trying to stick things out this long with all his injuries. :)

Argh, Bobcats played well in the first half and then fell apart in the second half...primarily because we don't really have a go to guy and we only had eight players, most of the bench was injured.

Tell me about it. It's getting pretty ridiculous, especially when supposed 'safe bets' from college bomb big all around us (hello Ben Gordan....I thought the Bulls learned after Jay Williams). The fact is that college doesn't produce any more 'fundamentally sound' NBA players than high school does. In fact, all those players that the media always list as being all that's wrong with the NBA these days (think Steve Francis and Baron Davis) were big college stars as well. Nobody ever mentions that the whole '6'2" SG pretending to be a PG' player is entirely a product of the college game where they strive.

Looking back on Dick Vitale, Jay Bilas etc. draft analysis makes me sick. Someone needs to remind them that Dwight Howard has been fantastic, Jameer Nelson has sucked it up (OMG COLLEGE PLAYER OF THE YEAR TAKEN 22nd!!!!111), and Luol Deng (left too early!!!) has been the Bull's best player while Ben Gordan (guaranteed superstar!) has been terrible. Maybe after this year, Lebron last year, and the Jay Williams fiasco (2nd best PG in the world behind Kidd!!! By the way, who is this Amare kid?) people will realize that drafting for potential almost always makes the most sense.

As always, your posts are right on point.

Raptors are going to get drilled tonight.

The only drilling the Sonics will be doing is to each other in the shower.

:lol I always wondered if that was possible...Pacers are looking like the Raps the last couple years with all their injuries (except unlike us they're still winning).

I think the Heat have been seriously overrated, but I'll give 'em some credit...they played the Spurs extraordinarily well with Wade out of the lineup. San An defintely had some calls in their favour as well...not sure how the refs missed Duncan's offensive goaltend. Good for them for taking advantage of it though.

BTW, that thrown down Kobe put on Howard was just disgusting...best dunk of the year so far.

2 minutes left in the first qtr...Sonics up by 10...Vince played only 80 seconds because of two quick fouls...ugh.

7 minutes
3 points
3 fouls

Vince Carter is the man. Utterly worthless first half.

Almost everyone on our team forgot how to play D, and Jalen Rose is taking some crazy shots...Bosh is too far out from the basket with Vince off...trying to do too much. Good thing I have to get up early tomorrow, as I have an excuse to stop watching this. Hopefully a miracle can happen: We play D, and Vince Carter looks like a player who deserves to have his own line of shoes.

Heh, just before I went off....I wanted to check how we were doing: (Read from the bottom up)

4:43 TOR - Personal foul on R. Alston
4:52 TOR - Loose ball foul on C. Bosh
4:52 TOR - Defensive rebound
4:52 TOR - L. Woods misses a 4-foot jumper in the lane
4:52 TOR - L. Woods offensive rebound
4:54 TOR - J. Rose misses a 14-foot jumper along the left baseline
4:58 TOR - Offensive rebound
5:01 TOR - J. Rose misses a 17-foot jumper from the left wing
5:05 TOR - C. Bosh offensive rebound
5:07 TOR - J. Rose misses a 26-foot three-pointer from the left wing

Good, hard fought win for the Spurs. Manu was simply out of his mind(29 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 6 steals and 1 block). He is a quadruple double wating to happen. :D I'm only disappointed with TD's FT shooting. Overall, the team had a good performance.

Excellent effort from Miami too. The role players stepped up in Wade's absence and after a horrible loss, helped Shaq keep the team in the game the majority of the time. This team is going to mean lots of trouble for the NBA elite. They're very though. Only thing I didn't like was how the refs let Shaq hand out elbows all game long.

I'm also extremely happy to see Grant Hill having such a great start to this season. Hopefully he will endure it. He is a class act.

The calls for both sides were garbage tonight, it was a fair win by Seattle. Our biggest mistake was leaving Rashard open for that three, I'm sure he wouldn't have made it if someone was in his face. Big ups to Antonio Daniels for making the clutch shot in the lane, glad to have him on my fantasy team.

You win this time, Janus, but a truly good team would've blown us out by twenty or thirty the way we were playing most of the game. Then again, if Ray had been in the game it probably wouldn't have been as close as it was (the charge call that got him tossed was BS). WE SHALL MEET AGAIN, I GUARANTEE A RAPTORS VICTORY NEXT GAME, LEST MY TAG FOREVER BE CHANGED TO "Ray Allen's Penis Pump".

Oh, I'd also like to add that Matt Bonner was absolutely terrific tonight. Hustle hustle hustle, clutch.

More stuff:

I'm convinced something is wrong with Vince. I think he may have pumped his wife too many times the night before, where the fuck were his legs tonight? He had the GUARANTEED posterization on Jerome James early on (the play when he got called for his second foul), but instead opted to lay it up and MISS. Another play he spun past someone and was wide open for a dunk, but again opted for a lay-in and missed. I think Bosh followed it up with a tip-in. And then there were the air balls - I can't even remember the last time I saw him toss one of those up, if ever. He had TWO tonight! Something's up with him, I don't know what, but it was extremely disappointing and frustrating to watch him tonight. I'm not even that mad at the missed layup that lost the game for us, he had the right idea and went to the basket hard, it just didn't go down for us. It's the cruddy shot selection and weak play that pissed me off the most. Don't even get me started on Jalen, I don't know what was going through that guy's head. BLECH. </vent>

I just fucking hate how he missed that last shot. The guy was soft... and the airball. My goodness.

I think it's just that he regret saying that he wants to get traded so what he does is play really bad so that Raptors is stuck with him forever.

Just noticed Bosh as the highest scorer again tonight. Friggin, the last shot should've been given to Boner. The guy was pure clutch.

Manu's been playing out of his mind lately... The contract, the marriage and the olympic victory definitely seem to have him motivated. I really hope he can keep this up, or something similar come playoff time. And by then, I hope Parker gets back into the loop and Barry gets more comfy.

The Magic are for real this year dudes. I kinda wish Dwight Howard would shoot the ball more but as long as he is pulling down double digit rebounds every night and being an inside presence, then our guards and forwards can do all the scoring they want.

There were three or four TERRIBLE calls that went against the Pacers last night (the Artest flagrant, and O'Neal's and Tinsley's 6th fouls were totally BS) that cost them the game.

I'm not sure O'Neal even touched iverson on his 6th foul call or Artest on his flagarant foul...but even then the Tinsley charge call on what would have been a 3 point play was the worst. Such is life in the NBA. Korver is a damn good shooter.

Raps - Sonics game was a close one. I only caught the game starting the second half when the raps were down by, but great second comeback attempt. Vince might not have played well in the first half (I heard he had 2 fouls in the first 80 seconds???) but he played hard in the 4th quarter. He was playing pretty good D on Rashard Lewis, tried to get a charge, and hit a couple buckets. Gotta give it up to the Sonics though, they hit huge shots down the stretch and, did well driving into the lane to breakup the defence, then kick it out for wide open jumpers.

Vince's last drive was a good idea, if he didn't get fouled, he makes the 10/10 times with this ups.

Refs were retards in the Sonics/Raps game. Mo' Pete's feet were still moving when Ray Allen was called for that "charge" And Vince was clearly fouled during his drive to the basket in the final play of the game. I hate it when the refs try to control the outcome of games. I wish one of those refs would of had some balls.
