Yeah, the refs were just pathetic the entire night...brutal calls on both sides. I figured Vince was fouled on the layup cause he never misses those, but the call on Ray Allen for his sixth foul was even worse. David Stern was in attendance, so with any luck he fired those refs right on the spot. :lol

"I'm a little tea pot, short and stout. Here is my handle, here is my ball...umm...I mean spout."

Congrats to Pop on getting his 400th(in 611 games) win yesterday. 2nd fastest coach to get to that mark, behind Phil Jackson. More impressive when you consider his first season was when Robinson, Elliot and half the team was injured and they went 20-62.

Oh yeah, one more thing...

Manu Ginobili = Best SG in the league so far

FORWARD VINCE CARTER:

On his performance:
"I think I let the team down. I had a couple of plays that I wasn’t ready to shoot. I got uncomfortable and got the bumping call, things like that. I feel in my mind that I hurt the team, but the great thing is that we have a game tomorrow."

I like that Vince is taking responsibility. That shows that he's taking on a greater leadership role. And it looks like he intends to redeem himself tonight against the Blazers. :D

Bryant led the Lakers in scoring for the seventh time in as many games Friday, but his season-high 41 points weren't enough as Los Angeles suffered a 122-113 setback in Orlando.

Bryant's night wasn't without incident. He started jawing with a fan sitting courtside late in the first half, yelling obscenities and finally responding by saying, ``You woke me up now.''

Yeah, too bad he was the only Laker awake in the 2nd half :lol

actually im pretty sure that the year DRob was injured and the Spurs tanked was Bob Hill's last year as coach. Pop was VP of Player Operations at time and fired Hill after that year, so he could take over when Robinson got healthy and the team drafted Duncan. Pretty convienent timing, eh? ;)

There's more:

Bryant was not about to be dejected, talking smack with a fan sitting courtside and asking the man to meet him outside

:lol

PS: Is Tmac playing tonight? The Lakers need this win in the worst way >_<

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.
Tracy McGrady missed Thursday's game to rest and protect a strained groin, but he said he had improved enough that he expects to play Saturday against the Lakers.

"I feel better than I did yesterday," McGrady said. "Still not where I want to be. Improvement from yesterday, definitely. I want to play. They won't let me play.

"I pretty much think Saturday I should be fine. I'm treating it well. I'm doing the right things and doing what I'm supposed to do. It's coming around. It's getting better. It's not so much my hip anymore, it's my groin and that's getting better."

McGrady had said he would win an argument with trainer Keith Jones if he felt able to play. He lost.

"I let my guard down a little bit," McGrady said. "He kept his up. But there was nothing I could do. I did everything possible to try to play in this game. I never played 82 games (in a season) in my career. That was one of my personal goals. That's out the window now. More importantly, I'll be ready for Saturday. It's good that they're holding me out."

Jones, however, shared McGrady's confidence.

"I'm optimistic about Saturday," Jones said. "I told him we'll make a decision (this) afternoon."

Oh noes! Konex its ok to cry..let it out.

The true T-Mac Stopper. So good that he wont even let T-Mac step foot on the court :(

Man, talk about classless. Sounds like something John Starks would do. :lol

Apparently Kobe feels man enough to step to some nobody non-athlete in the crowd, but every time he's gotten into an altercation on the court, he's been owned with a vengeance. Quick DM, post that Chris Childs clip. :D

I think the only guy in the NBA that Kobe could beat up is Jesus Shut--- err, Ray Allen. :D

to get an offensive foul here? He dribbled past me!
No one can do that! It's a foul!"

Usually professional basketball players block out most of the garbage from fans and knowing kobe's history, you know it was some serious shit happening if he was getting in an altercation with some fan.

but every time he's gotten into an altercation on the court, he's been owned with a vengeance. Quick DM, post that Chris Childs clip. :D

Please that was 5 years ago! Give it up! Care to list this so called "owned with a vengeance"?

One name: Reggie Miller. ;)

I'm actually just joking about Kobe's sissy-boy status, but you do have to realize that when you get an image like that, even if it's from only a single incident, it stays with you until something else happens where you kick ass and take names. Maybe Kobe can ask Nintendo's Reggie for some lessons? ;) :p

How did Reggie Miller own kobe? besides trying to grab his testicles.

Damn are the Lakers stepping up or what. Good to see the team scoring without Kobe taking a huge chunk of the pie. I hope they can keep up the pace and blow them out by 20.

Shitty ass refs not calling that foul on the dunk attempt by Yao...Mihm was all over his wrist and then shoved him.....such bs...take your lucky ass win Lakers...Tmac will play next time and Yao will foul out all your big men again...pathetic bs calls.

PS- GUNDY CUT LUE NOW OR TRADE HIS ASS BACK TO THE WNBA.

I'm sorry...but JESUS FUCK WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT, BOW WOW?!

Clutch is not paying tonight! He may have a jersey on but he's not on the active roster!

have we even won 2 in a row yet? It seems like we're just alternating wins and losses. Its time for MASTER PLAN 2.0! Tank the season, get a top 5 draft pic, draft Chris Paul, trade Lamar Odom, resign Shaq for the veteran's minimum!

Miller, Bryant suspended two games each for fight
ESPN.com news services

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Indiana Pacers reacted angrily, and the Los Angeles Lakers calmly Sunday to the NBA's decision to suspend Reggie Miller and Kobe Bryant two games apiece for their fight at the end of a game.

Shaquille O'Neal and Isiah Thomas tried to separate the combatants.

Both players also were fined -- Bryant $12,500 and Miller $10,000 -- for one of the NBA's higher-profile fights in recent seasons. It occurred shortly after the final buzzer of the Los Angeles Lakers' 96-84 victory over the Indiana Pacers at Staples Center on Friday night.

"I am extremely disappointed," Miller said in a statement issued before the Pacers' game against the Sacramento Kings. "I was confident the league, after reviewing the tape and interviewing those involved, would see it was clear that I was neither the instigator nor the aggressor in this incident.

"Kobe has other issues he has to deal with. This had nothing to do with me or the basketball game played on Friday evening."

The NBA suspended Bryant for "throwing a punch and fighting" and Miller for "retaliating against Bryant and fighting."
