Holy. shit.

Football. tomorrow.

God I love this feeling.

Some very interesting Day 1 matchups as always. I am really looking forward to Spurs/City.

I might make it home to catch the last 5-10 mins of Chelsea/WBA :(
oh well, Spurs/City and Arsenal/Liverpool on Sunday should be fun to watch.

Dutch Media say that Aston Villa also has Ronald Koeman on a shortlist for their new manager. :lol

They would crash and burn if they take him.

Cannot wait for Spurs/City today. We've beaten the mancs 11 out of the last 12 times we've played, and in the league last season we scored 4 goals against them and conceded zero. Come on you spurs! For the sake of the league, we must win!

Spurs v City match is today. 1245 GMT.

Can't wait for City to fall apart, and see the regret on Yaya's face for leaving Barca.

I didn't see this until now:

Probably not as good as Kris Boyd, but it's nice to see new players in a Rangers shirt. He'll probably be playing today against Kilmarnock.

The MASSIVES:lol

They ran an advtertising campaign on the sides of busses in Manchester to sell season tickets because they are a MASSIVE club

So what are GAF's predications for today? The big matches in the UK today:

English PL:

Tottenham v Man City
Aston Villa v West Ham
Blackburn v Everton
Bolton v Fulham
Sunderland v Birmingham
Wigan v Blackpool
Wolverhampton v Stoke
Chelsea v West Brom

Scottish PL:

Inverness CT v Celtic
Aberdeen v Hamilton
Hearts v St Johnstone
Rangers v Kilmarnock
St Mirren v Dundee Utd

I'm not sure about England, but in Scotland:

Celtic win
Draw
Hearts win
Rangers win
Draw

I'm sure he'll be happy to be playing with his brother regardless. But yes, it will be an interesting test for the City project.

Hart first-choice, eh? Given to leave City then. If Wenger knows what's good for him...

According to the rumours, Manchester City would prefer selling Given to Celtic than a Premiership rival.

I'm watching Inverness Caledonian Thistle vs. Celtic right now and it feels weird being able to actually hear the crowd.

BEN SHEPHARD

I would've had Johnson on instead of SWP, don't rate him at all.

Hope Spurs beat City though, would hopefully knock them down a peg or two.

Only reason i think SWP starting over Adam Johnson is due to the internationals. SWP was training with City all week whereas Johnson was with England

Go you good Spurs!

Hurray for the return of the EPL, and just as importantly, the return of The Fifth Official :D

It's been a good first 15 minutes in the Tottenham v ManC game - Hart is on fire O.O

Hart is making great saves left and right.

Man City spend all this money on forwards and attacking midfield players and they've barely got it out of their half.

We should be alright we just need a GK and a CB.

Would like a DM too, Wenger admitted we lack experience there but then decides we don't need to sign someone as we have Frimpong (18 and never played a PL game!)

We'll do fine, Can we win it? That's the issue.

Injuries could ruin it though, We don't have the quality replacements if the injuries require them.

A DM would be nice but I think we'd do ok without one, we need a CB and a GK though.

I think Frimpong will do what Song did, come in and play bad at first but eventually become a good reliable player.

Yeah but I don't trust the manager to get good players in for those postions - the Schwarzer deal when there are so many better than him. And I would say we need a decent back up for Song because I just don't think Denilson is good enough.

hopefully, think Song - Frimpong combo in front of the defence will make us alot more solid at the back, but we could do with some experience to help bring him through.
