I haven't seen them play this bad...EVER! Wow that 2nd period 'power play' was just brutal.

I do not like this supposed trade with Poni...we need a pick back :(

looks like the 'Hawks weren't all there yet after the break. Wish I could get out of class so I could go home and watch the game......

Gay Jeff from the Dean Blundell show apparently might have had relations with him at one point. So he insinuated at least.
 
Pens win 3-2. We'll take it. The team looked pretty good, and Sid in particular looked to be on his game. A very nice effort considering the two week layoff. And we are now officially first in the Atlantic!

Come on, Sharks-Age. Beat the Devils tonight, please.

That's the best morning show going. I howl with laughter each morning listening to those guys and their banter. Todd and Dean are especially good at it.
 
so I guess it's official then. I guess it is an OK deal considering who we traded to get Ponikarovsky.

Really? I find them to be far too crass and utterly moronic or disrespectful over half the time they are on the air. I suppose they fit the Toronto stereotype in that way.

I just wonder where we're going to slot in Poni, if this deal is in fact getting done. Who comes out? Do we sit a guy like Rupp or Adams and bump someone like Kunitz or Dupes to 4th line duty, making space for Poni in the process?

It's not like Poni is amazing. Most Pens fans were adamant in saying there was no way Shero would trade Caputi for Poni. They said he was their second best forward prospect.

I'm not going to argue this. He was definitely in the top three. He's apparently had some attitude problems, though, so I hope he can sort them out. He has a lot of upside based on the few games I've seen him play. He should fit the HEART quotient that Leafs fans prize so highly.
 
TSNBobMcKenzie I love fan reaction. Leaf fans say, Luca who? Pens' fans say, we gave up too much. Pens get good NHL winger. Leafs get a good prospect.

I think so too, but someone has to be benched in the process. I could maybe see Dupuis getting demoted to fourth line duty, with one of our lower tier guys coming out, but I honestly like the guys we have playing right now. Ah well, this is why I'm not a coach; I would not be able to make these difficult decisions.

I'm sure Bylsma will figure out the right combination. He's got the magic touch.

Dean Blundell and the rest of them can be really, really moronic, especially when politics are involved. I remember one morning they spent 10 solid minutes making (borderline racist) fun of Jack Layton's wife during an election. Very classy.

They were chucking random objects against the wall to try and imitate or guess the sound that the Georgian luger made when he died pre-Olympics. I have no patience for that kind of lowest common denominator bullshit, but I suppose there is a market for it out there.

Bruins suck, what else is new? One goal on Price and it was sloppy, at that. This game was a sobering reminder that the problems on offense aren't just gonna go away. I doubt anything will happen before tomorrow, though. Never does.

They're basically horndogs with nothing useful or insightful to add to society except cheap soundbites and bitter or blind criticism. Research? None. As long as you are offending over half the population, you seem to be doing your job on that show.

I dunno, I never cared for Howard Stern either, so the shock jock thing was never for me. They serve a purpose in that they poke at how ridiculous some things in our society are, or how serious, but in the end they add nothing constructive themselves. Clowns and cynics can provide insight, but these men simply do not.

Just too effing stupid for me to care.

I've started to listen to AM 590 and 640 a fair bit in recent months. Even if it's Leafs Talk, at least it's about hockey. It's also funny to hear how batshit crazy Bill Watters is sometimes.

For music, I've mellowed out and have made 94.1 (CBC Radio 2) a standard. I'll flip to 107.1, 107.9, or 97.7 if I'm feeling like rock...and I do check The Edge from time to time, but they're usually playing new stuff that I don't really like.

W0000 we got Poni for fucking nothing!

Luca Caputi is horrible. Got sent down to the ECHL last year for drinking and partying. He is supposed to be a "power forward" but the asshole weights 180 lbs lol. Miro Satan when he got sent down last year bitched at him to get his act together lmao. He is basically a slower, smaller, less skilled Poni with a huge attitude problem. Thanks BB! RS = God.
 
wow, talk about olympic break hangover. that game was brutally boring. is this what non-olympic hockey is like?
